Troy is so under rated
Mike Vaz don't let this video be taken down!!!! My #1 Patriot of all time!!!!
Everyone remembers Troy at the end of his career when he was a possession receiver, who they put back there to catch punts because they knew he wouldn't drop it. What they forget is that in his prime this guy was absolutely electric. Few players have ever been as dangerous with the ball in the their hands as Troy from 1998-2002.
+William Clark Though while we're on the subject, can anyone remember Troy ever dropping a pass? I mean, ever. I'm seriously asking.
+William Clark I remember a rare drop over the middle once and I think the whole world stopped because no one could believe it.
He would go on to score on that same drive haha
wasn't he also a gunner in his earlier years with the Patriots that's also something I learned though I could be wrong
+Jose Lopez He was a gunner early in his career. I think from 1994-96 if he wasn't returning punts. But he loved being on kickoff coverage cuz he can hit and bring returners down!
William Clark I remember he was used as a DB as well later in his career. He stepped in due to injuries in the secondary and played well. I wish more guys would be trained to play both ways.
Offense ,defense, special teams, troy Brown was an old School real football player could of played in any era!
This man made Tom Brady what he is. This is how a slot receiver is built, It's the only jersey I ever bought. Because of his selflessness he should go to Canton! receiver, corner back, returner, QB!
yes hall of fame player could have played in any era!
I’m no a Pats’ fan, but a lot of players from 1995-2007 should be on the HoF, but since the Patriots played as a team, most of then don’t have a bunch of pro bowl selections, making their induction less probable:c
My favorite patriot
I can't stand the Patriots but I was a big fans of his and Kevin Faulk because he is from (LSU).
I absolutely love 2:34, those jukes are nasty
The ankles! So awesome
He was by far my favorite patriot then another TB came along and took that spot in my mind but i still consider him one of the greatest patriots of all time. He deserved a lot more recognition and a lot more praise than he ever received. If there was a HOF for character he would be at the top of the list.
My favorite Patriot of all-time, one of my favorite players of all-time.
Mr Patriot!
Troy was a threat to score a touchdown pretty much every time he touched the ball. That's how incredible he was as a player, and a complete football player at that. That San Diego game where he stripped the ball from Marlon McCree and Reche Caldwell recovered it is something that'll be forever etched in the memories of Patriots fans.
Say Troy Brown was in his prime in 2010-2015. He would have racked up monster stats. People might forget that Brady was a very good, not GOAT QB in his early years. But later on in his career he has been a machine, making superstars out of Welker and Edelman. The same would've happened to Troy.
What a special player he was. Watching this video brings back so many great memories of his talent, intelligence, and the sheer effort he put into helping the Pats succeed on every single play, in all facets of the game. His contribution to the Pats dynasty cannot be properly stated by numbers alone. He belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in my book.
Wow. Fantastic video, great clips and the perfect music. The best Troy Brown video out there.
Bradys original slot machine!
My Favorite Patriot of All-Time and a fantastic tribute!! THANK YOU!!
When you've got a player like Julian Edelman it's easy to forget how awesome Troy Brown was. Fact Edelman is Troy Brown 2.0
Gregory Post but can edelwoman play corner and qb also lol
IReallyLikeAGirl qb yes
Justin Kiwi true but not corner... and Randall Cobb is a better qb
Edelman played some corner
Edelman played qb in college
My favorite Patriot player😊
My absolute favorite player EVER! Half man half machine mostly incredible!!! Thank you for this video!!!
Troy was always 1 of my favorite players. He was versatile and was great at every position he played.
2:34 that footwork. If I ever have another son his name will be TroyBrown. Not Troy, TroyBrown
Glad to have a ball signed by him!!
So jelous!
So glad this is back! fucking great runs on there man. Thanks for retuning and putting it back.
Hes one of my favorites of alltime !
Troy was an iron man offense defense special teams .
I want to see him in hall of fame SO bad, these clips show why, he's so awesome
Great video, awesome editing to put all those plays together like that. Thanks for the reminder of how awesome Troy Brown was...that strip fumble vs the Chargers is the epitome of hustle, guts, and desire. He was one of a kind!
Troy Brown was one of the most underrated receivers of that era. One thing about him, he did it all. Offense, defense, special teams, and if I remember correctly, I think he even punted the ball once lol
Every time I think of SB LII I just come back and watch 2:34
Gosh I forgot about how good this guy was. Imagine him in this higher-scoring Patriots system. He would've had the stats to match.
Crazy story .. After he got cut he started working at Pontiac Foods Columbia. Making 11$ a hr. He got a call from NE because someone got hurt. He gave the job a week notice.(I got another job) he trained my Pops for that whole week. Long story short he went on to win 3 super bowl rings!!!
May have the fastest first step in nfl history! he could get to full speed like very few players I've ever seen.
Even his United way spot was the best . His signal of touchback in the Denver game was the correct call too. Idiot referees . No one should be allowed to wear number 80 for the Pats again . It should be retired .
crabbjuice are you talking about when champ Bailey' picked off Brady and Ben Watson levels him at the goal line? That was definitely a touch back. Bill says that play be Watson was the best play he has ever seen.
Perfect TEAM player.
Nostalgic
One of the best plays of his career, as seen in this video, is when he stripped the corner after a game losing interception in the AFC divisional round. It wasn’t flukey or a hard hit, just a heads up play.
That return at 2:35. Sick.
He definitely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
2 guys you could always count on Troy brown and Kevin Faulk 💯 Troy would always make the big play and Faulk would ALWAYS get those big 3rd downs….literally ALWAYS
Tom Brady got both of his best receivers from Marshall University. Troy was likely the last great iron man player. Receiver, defensive back, return specialist, special teams, he did it ALL!
2:34 like a pinball machine
goat
Before Edleman
Before Amendola
Before Welker
There was Troy Brown
You can't even compare Troy to them, he played all three teams!!!
Before Welker...Before Edelman...There was Brown! What can Brown do for you?!?!
Of course he was a gifted athlete, but he worked his butt off to make himself into an elite pro football player. For a while he was just a special teams guy. And when he finally broke through, he never looked back. I miss watching him make big first down catches on Sundays.
His best catch was the one he caught on his back from Bledsoe
the real Antonio brown
Who else has caught a TD pass and and INT?! I think he picked off Bledsoe
+Chile2011 The fans went crazy that night when Troy got the INT off of Drew! Sadly that was Drew's final pass as a bill.
Troy intercepted more than just that one. He was actually a suitable defensive back when they needed him. Very impressive.
From the same QB!
Go Herd! He was awesome for Marshall!
All around player who did everything asked of him and did it well; The Patriot Way
Mr. Patriot
How many 1st downs did this guy get on 3rd down? Must be a ton
Remember the catch he made on his back against the Giants (i believe)
my uncle was post to got to the nfl and the team was the Eagles but his leg was bigger than the other and they said no so he would of been a good player
he did my uncle told me
Third down Troy brown
2:34 One of the greatest returns of all time not a touchdown. Troy was practicing for Powder Ridge. Putting motherfuckers on Ski Slopes smfh.
the funny part is that my uncle went to college with him
Glenn pedro number 32 running back marshall
My grandma knows him
he is my cus
For real ? Troy was a complete player.. a complete man. Very rare athlete. He had such great field vision ..blessed with superb intelligence and instinct.
Let him know that he's surely missed. I loved watching Troy and David Patten play. Both of those guys were warriors to go to battle with.
Dumb song, amazing video
