    Are the people in high positions in Rome so removed from reality that they refuse to see how offensive this whole mishandling of money is to the faithful practicing Catholic who supports their parish, their diocesan fundraising programs and other organizations that do charitable work! It is an outrage that there is so little accountability as to where and in support of what causes money donated worldwide is spent.

      They're not.
      Pope Francis appointed Cardinal Pell who drive a coach and four through financial dirty dealing in the Vatican bank and use of Vatican funds.

    I find it very interesting that a cardinal can be convicted and jailed for the criminal mishandling of Vatican funds, but simple priests suffer no such consequence for the criminal sexual mishandling of the children under their care. Why aren't Catholic parishioners bringing this clear case of hypocrisy to their hierarchy's attention. It appears money has far more value to them than their own children.

      I think your point is very pertinent, and there is no comparison between the value of a child and any amount of money. The scourge of child abuse in the life of the Church cannot be ignored and never should be.
      From my understanding, at least in my country, the Church and state work together to provide justice for people who have suffered child abuse and for their families. That includes imprisonment of clergy and/or recompensation. Nothing can make up for the harm done by abuse but efforts are made.

    • @dariodentino5279
      @dariodentino5279 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@Psychohippydude The point wasn't to compare the value of a child with catholic financial pay outs, only to point out that the church is indeed paying a price. Prelates are no longer getting a get-outta-jail free card as the post I responded to seemed to be inferring. We need to be good and do good. No more being christians in name only.

      Maybe it's not that these parents value money more than their children, but they can use the money to get help for their kids; and in many cases, adults.

      it’s not as big a deal as ppl want to make it. It’s not about same sex marriage. it just says priests are not not-allowed to bless ppl that have strange unions. Not the union mind you - just the ppl. Tbh, if you’re already thinking about it in those terms you’re more interested in politics than in heaven.

    That patriarch of Jerusalem did not condemn the Oct 7 atrocities (I may be wrong) though he offered himself in exchange of the hostages - not sure if he actually think Hamas would have agreed to that anyway which I never doubt they wouldn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @7349yt
      @7349yt Před 8 měsíci +2

      Actually, he didn't offer, he was asked by a journalist if he would be willing; and it looked to me like he was caught off guard when he said "Anything to stop this." What else could he say in reply to a stupid, sensationalist question like that? And of course Hamas would never have accepted the offer if it had been made. But Pizzaballa never made it because it would have been absurd to do so.
      But he did condemn what happened on Oct 7. This is what he said in a pastoral letter on Oct 24: "My conscience and moral duty require me to state clearly that what happened on October 7 in southern Israel is in no way permissible and we cannot but condemn it. There is no reason for such an atrocity, and we have a duty to state this and to denounce it".

    • @eddesa5134
      @eddesa5134 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Terrorist supporting socialist actually denied Oct 7 terrorism!!! He's anti-Israeli and a liar. IDF don't use snipers on buildings first. They tell civilians to evacuate so anyone left must be terrorist (or hostage). Hamas are snipers - they are the ones who benefit from pinning the false allegations on IDF. Israel has confirmed they had no operations in that area nor would they have had any reason to blow up a convent full of nuns and elderly. You should consider that the patriarch is creating lies either to pressure the West into forcing Israel into another ceasefire or as a distraction from the real news which should be that Pachapapa should be removed from St Peters Cathedra for breaking doctrine that clergy can not bless events or activities that are sinful or facilitate sin! He is a heretic.

    • @eddesa5134
      @eddesa5134 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@7349yt His tweeter X feed showed a letter on 7 October where he blamed Israel for the Hamas terrorism. I don't think he's credible in any way. In contrast Israel has gone far above what an army would be expected to do in war to avoid civilian casualities and this is despite the fact that the muslims are all supporters not victims of Hamas. Footage on Oct 7 shows that Hamas was livestreaming their atrocities to the muslims in Gaza city who were all cheering and enjoying the murders, rape etc as though it was a film show!!! We need to heed the warnings by the son of the Hamas co-founder who warns that those people only have hate for Jews and do not want any peace that does not involve the complete genocide of all Jews in the middle east and eventually the whole world!
      I for one certainly won't fall for this pro-terrorist propaganda, and if its true that IDF did bomb a convent why didn't the Patriarch evacuate them before or tell the IDF they were a convent? IDF give warnings unlike Hamas to enable civilians to flee.

      Bishops of four different African countries - including Nigeria - have condemned the "blessings" dictate and will not follow it. I hope there will be more. Bergoglio is mad - trashing the beliefs of people who live where the Church is vibrant and growing in favor of pleasing the Euros where the Church is doomed. If you read the document you will see that same sex unions are not being blessed; rather persons in same sex and irregular unions may be blessed if they seek God's blessing. Blessing is not a reward for goodness or a sanctioning of anything by anyone. It is an invocation of God's love and His mercy upon sinners. All of us need that; and all of us are sinners. Read the document not the headlines.
