@@jasonschoenmann2308 thank you very much. The gp60 is one of my favorites too. Im working on a unboxing video of my new fef-3 right now its a 45lbs engine. I have 30 year of collecting. I bought a lot of collection and sold what I didn't want to end up with a lot of it for next to nothing. If not for that I wouldn't have anywhere near what I have.
The difference between an artist and someone who plays with toy trains has been defined. This is the most impressive creation I’ve seen in 58-years; scale speeds, consist greater than 15-cars pulled by 3-engines, sound that doesn’t sound like a video game and a cohesive geographical appearance - well done young man, I suspect there is some good parenting behind all of this..?
I've run 100+ car trains plenty of times but only on flat, higher speed mainline, modular layouts. Never on low speed trackage and not around twisty curvy and *never* over grades. Just the flat track is anxiety inducing with trains that long Good work!
Such a beautiful model railroad. This video shows the quality of work from track to cars to weathering... That's a LONG train running a lot of curves and no issues... Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Josh! Great video! I can just imagine the crew in the lead locomotive keeping tight on the brake holding back the weight of that heavy train to prevent a runaway. Your layout is awesome!! Love the videos!! Have an awesome day!!
Holy cow. I would say you're a brave man, but knowing how much work went into this layout, it's not really surprising that this worked out well. Still. Impressive as all get out.
Very impressive outstanding layout and incredible scenery a real bit of eye candy for the modeler I’m building a layout now people don’t realize the amount of time and effort this stuff takes
Nice set-up been watching for years when it was just benchwork wood, Not crazy for the Fake added sounds but each there own, understood Model Railroading effect but Not Realistic in anyway shape or form. Still Really Nice-looking layout got going on. DPU's are on their way-out PA here don't even use DPU's on mainline anymore unless if it's a massive load running up-grade or on HSC, mainline 140 cars at most, thinking NS learned their lesson with the Ohio State derailment and Bethlehem PA head-on collision aka Steel City.
Fantastic layout with incredible authenticity. Am truly amazed at the power of those locomotives lugging 100 trucks. One observation, not a criticism, the train would be further enhanced with the inclusion of a DPU.
Quite a feat, sir! An easy explanation could be that a lengthy line closure on another district (Radford, perhaps?) necessitated the re-routing of trains. :)
How could it derail, we were at restricted speed the whole trip!! I know its cool. I hadabout 78 cars and 5 engines around my living room with real wide turns. @50+ mph it really starts to sound like a waterfall!
Hey Josh, what happened to your video on how you made your AC44C6Ms? I've been wanting to try making one myself, and was hoping to use it for reference.
Beautiful train man! I asked this last week but I’ll ask again cause it was on an older video so idk if you saw, but where do you get the sounds you dub in over your trains? Is it from your own railfanning? Or is it from somewhere else? I’m trying to do something similar myself and would love to know!
I have lots of old videos on my channel (railfanning videos) that are private and that I can download. I will work on getting a collection of these sounds out to everyone to use on my facebook page!

I always am so blown away by how realistic people can make these Locomotives look
Oh yea
Does anybody else’s wallet quake when you see that many cars
Lol. I got a video of 100 car and 167 car in g scale on my channel. I'm hoping to get a 200+ car train someday. I have the cars just need to set it up

Thank you for the video. (I'm still parked and waiting at the crossing!)
Best part about this train is that all the cars and locomotives are weathered! Excellent stuff. The block of LPG tankers looks particularly nice.
I definetely agree. I love the way that the load of the first wagons looks. Like real.

WOW WOW WOW !!! That is a BIG train for that layout. I would’ve loved to seen a video on breaking that train down in the yard !!! 😀😀👍🏼
That is one long train, with no hic-ups.....Cool.
Hope you have metal couplers, very cool👍
Fact is: When I see that bridge, i start to feel like my whole train would be on the floor.
Why have you not been in MR magazine yet? Amazing
Those sharp curves must create a tremendous amount of drag on your train, like curves do on real trains.
You should have some dummy mid train helpers
Very nice! Smooth, realistic operation. Thanks for posting.
Great video, as always. I love the sound effects you added. Incredibly realistic. The Luke Towan intro was a nice touch.

The slow realistic speed and flange squeal makes this model R.R. So convincing. No DPU s, at least I didn’t notice. Super nice!
Yes, as I also commented in my revue it would be further improved with the inclusion of a DPU

Ok let’s see the train go up grade.
Only thing that could’ve made it more prototypical is putting that pair of empty center beams closer to the headend 😂.
We learned out lesson on that one!! haha
PSR in a nutshell😅
Nice
scaletrains or brass locos? great detail and weathering!
Good video 📹, by your diesel shed is a long line of piping with locomotives parked either side. What is that piping for, refueling?? Cheers.
Josh how long did it take you to assemble that train great skills on not straight lining
Beeeeautiful. The only thing missing: smoke from the diesels. Can you manage that?

WOW!
Magnificent Josh! 👍
Beautiful layout in every way ! - Just out of curiosity though, how many cars can you pull up that grade? Can you use mid-train helpers ?
Are you telling me that 3 engines pulled 100 cars?
Yep ... of course it was downhill!
Hey Josh, what happened to your video on how you made your AC44C6Ms? I've been wanting to try making one myself, and was hoping to use it for reference.
Hi, the squel sound for the curves is from the sound decoder of the loco or other source? Thanks
Nice work! Are those two orange NS tie gondolas? See them around NC often but can’t find any online
They are custom kit bashed.

How do you unweather a NS if don’t like weathering
It would be chasing its tail on the bottom level. How did you get it to traverse the hill? It didn't work in the past
If you didn't have a Dash 9 in the lead, I'd say add DP haha
No PSR here!
Is the sound from a real recording or the model itself? Thankyou
Where is this? I've been to several model train museums.
If you are going DOWNHILL, you would be going EAST OUT OF ASHEVILLE TOWARDS OLD FORT. Your layout signage is backwards.
There is a steady uphill grade East out of Asheville to Ridgecrest. There it begins descending to Old Fort.
And only 3 trains pulling it, I'd need all 5 of my crappy HO-scale trains (and probably more) to pull 100 cars
Where do you get these trains I really want one because there so realistic
