If Blackbeard attacked the Going Merry right before the Knock Up Stream took them to sky Island. If Ace was with them at that point he probably would have jumped ship (with his striker boat) and gone on the attack. Plus since Blackbeard's raft was destroyed by the Knock Up Stream Ace probably would have made quick work of them.
Maybe, I get the feeling the WB crew weren't in it for power or influence, so unless thatch wanted to sell it for the money or something yeah it makes sense, also thatch diddnt eat it right away so he probably had reservations about it
He had the opportunity. He didnt eat the fruit and blackboard killed him in his sleep and took the fruit. So he probably did have reservations cause he didn't eat it right away.
I think if I remember correctly the rule on whiteboards ship us whoever finds a df gets to eat it or do with it what they want. So in a scenario where blackboard does ask thatch for it. Maybe whitebeard would decline regardless so even if thatch wanted to give it to teach whitebeard just told him he can't.
Honestly, yeah. Blackbeard has been on the crew for so long, he and Thatch should be really old friends. Thatch would know that Blackbeard usually doesn't want something so badly, and since he found the fruit, he gets to give it away if he wants.
I don't think in this alternate scenario Blackbeard would comment on Luffy's bounty. Because even in the main story, Blackbeard didn't recognize Luffy until after the crew left Jaya

We honestly don't know how much blackbeard knows or knew at that point about history. But he obviously knew xebec. He was all about business and his plans to become a warlord at this point. His plan is very detailed so he probably wouldn't go on flights of fancy or curiosity too much in jaya days
One thing that’s kind of annoying for this is that we don’t know how injured Blackbeard was after fighting Ace. He could be just minimally injured, or he could be rendered useless and totally beaten to basically a draw, and his men just carried him and the unconscious Ace. That really plays a big factor
That is just his special ability, although even he seems to struggle with some topics considering he only managed around 17 minutes regarding one piece trees.

Pre-Time Skip Luffy isn't going to punch out Doffy for example, because that was someone he struggled with while way stronger.
Tekking! You should definitely do a video on the new trailer for Film RED! It's super short and just shows sketches of the Straw Hats designs for the movie but they're super interesting and some of them are pretty crazy! I also think they provide a great way to speculate what the movie is gonna be about(especially Frankie's design!)
Something I think might make an interesting twist during the battle with Blackbeard. I want the way they figure this out to be for Teach to somehow touch or grab Chopper so he temporarily reverts to a regular reindeer. Imagine the reactions of the various crew members as they see Chopper turned back into a normal reindeer, then maybe Teach throws Chopper at the others while they're surprised so Chopper goes back to his usual self and can tell the others what happened to him.
I think you're underestimating the BB pirates. I mean, Laffite by himself sneaked in Marijoise while Sengoku was there. The straw hats would die in that fight.
I mean, i'm pretty sure that they were comparable to the straw hats at that point, van augur didn't even use haki while shooting at ace even though the most basic of kuja warriors could do something similar, the bb pirates just got really strong really fast but at jaya they were weak and Blackbeard himself said that ALL of them weren't strong enough to take on Ace...

Plus in just a few months since Jaya, BB became strong enough to fight Sengoku (granted he just got the Gura-Gura no mi at that time). I find it hard to belive that BB and his crew were that weak at Jaya. Idk, maybe they were, i just think that someone with 30+ years of experience on a yonko ship in the New World wouldn't have any problems fighting a 100 mil Berries rookie.

I feel like if the other strawhats all managed to defeat the other black beard pirates, even faster in the more accurate scenario where they don't even have to fight Laffite, Black Beard being able to put a blackhole on the island wouldn't matter because the only thing that needs to happen to stop him is Zoro getting a good slash on him. When WhiteBeard slashed at BlackBeard it basically shutdown BB's whole devil fruit and I feel like even pre-Ashura Zoro would be able to do that. Also I don't think BlackBeard himself can go into the black hole?

It takes about 197 tonnes of force to cut steel, even assuming it's only a 1.5x pain increase from the Yami Yami no Mi, that's 295.5 tonnes of force. A car crash is roughly 120 tonnes of force. So, getting hit by a Lions Song while having the Yami Yami no MI is like getting hit by two and a half car crashes.

They would be very likely oblirated. Luffy never has won duel with Ace without DF and Ace lost to BB with logia power and all experience he had from grand line. Not to mention all crewmates who were already powerful individuals but BB would be enough himself.
True, BB had more experience and endurance in battle as he is much older than Luffy and BB probably already had haki powers because he sensed Luffy was very powerful, when he met him at the bar....You see this in episode 151, where he sees the post of Luffy's 100 million and says "30 million was too low for the amount of willpower he had"...
@Denzel Amaniampong nah dawg bb is on level with Magellan and Shiryû since Shiryû joined under him and they are like YC1 level. And bb also was able to stop whitebeards basic attack after neutralizing the gura in it and WB casually overpowers giants in base strength and it was shown in the fight BB almost breaks ace's neck with one attack that he does while also being hit he was just physically stronger than ace and his fruit was able to counteract or beat his. He was also considered for the second commander position on WB's crew so imo he had like second commander base stats and ace had like 4th commander base stats and a pretty good logia and then BB gets the Yami fruit and at that point ace can't really win. Also like he scared shanks and shanks says he wasn't careless so take that as you will.
@Denzel Amaniampong magellens whole power is a 1 shot and BB got caught off guard by being cocky it wasn't a real fight he didn't expect Magellan to attack him without saying anything. Also no strawhat had no chance vs BB he was way too strong in Jaya he already had the darkness fruit. And also BB doesn't take twice the damage he feels twice the pain and that's because of his darkness fruit. If BB doesn't have armament haki then sure without his fruit ace could technically beat him but doesn't mean he's actually stronger against anyone else who isn't a logia
Well, considering Teach was on Whitebeards ship for a realy long time. He probably was New world level at least even at jaya. So Luffy would have no chance, just like in sabody.
Yeah, Ace and BB were pretty even so Luffy getting one good surprise attack in would likely down Teach. Also, New World level means literally nothing, the range of power in the NW is absolutely massive.

Doc Q's devil fruit: The Plague-Plague fruit. Weakens his enemies with disease. Lafitte's devil fruit: Mythical Human-Human fruit- Model: Siren. Bewitches his enemies to fight for him.
I feel like all you really need to take down BB in this scenario is to give Zoro an opening. Since BB is actually tangible he can cut right thru him. Not saying it would be easy to do but he’d be the most effective at that time in the story. Luffy would be too aggressive and physical and get destroyed, especially if he doesn’t know about the Yami-yami canceling his DF.
This What-if has been awesome so far! But I wanted to make my own version/revisions to it to make it a bit more exciting (in my eyes at least). So imagine that Ace decides not to go the bar with Luffy, instead hangs with Usopp, Robin and the others looking around Jaya, maybe wanting a break from all of Luffys antics on the Merry(for buildup purposes). At this point, everything is that same in Jaya from Luffy meeting Blackbeard to Bellamy and his crew stealing Crickets Gold. With everyone together, a pissed off Ace suggests going with Luffy to teach Bellamy a lesson, but Luffy declines the help, saying something along the lines of "These are my friends, my adventure Ace. I'll handle it. Not like I'll lose anyways😃" Ace is convinced, and let's Luffy beat Bellamy. When Luffy returns, Ace decides to go, knowing Blackbeard's probably not in the White Sea right now. He bids the Straw Hats farewell, and heads to town for an Inn, supplies, and to look at Luffys handiwork. At this point he happens not only to come across Blackbeard and Co, but also overhear them talking about how they just figured out how high Luffys bounty is, and how they're going to take Luffys head. Of course furious, Ace immediately starts the fight here, and Ace is pushed into a corner at some point. The SH's may notice the blazing fires in Jaya town, and Luffy (might) notice Aces vivre card getting a bit roughed up. Here, Luffy will have to choose: Either continue thier journey to the Knock Up stream and trust Aces abilities, OR go check up on/Help Ace. We all know what happens if they go to the Knock Up stream, but if they go to help Ace, It'll probably go the somewhat the way Tekkings says: Ussop MAY go along and will TRY to counter Auger with trickery, Chopper fights Q, Nami and Robin will probably stay back at the Merry to watch over it, Zoro and Sanji brawl with Jesus, and Luffy fights BB with some help from a wounded Ace, only for everything to end with Blackbeard pulling a quick one and capturing Ace. BB considers taking both of them for their bounties, but decides to take Ace, only because after seeing what happened in the bar eariler, he's: "a bit interested in seeing what this upstart will do after this...." And there we have it. Sorry for the wall of text, I just really wanted to type this out. Have a good one.
How Blackbeard could've gotten his devil fruit without anyone coming after him afterwards: Pirate under Ace's command- "Hey guys, I just scored a devil fruit from that ship we just raided!" "Nice, what kind is it?" "Not sure, I'm gonna go look it up." Blackbeard- "Hang on, that one looks familiar. Let me get a closer look at it, I think I might know what it is." Grab. Chomp. Swallow. "HEY!" Blackbeard- "Just as I thought, it's the one I've been looking for, for years now." (Alternatively, just knock the guy out without killing him, then take the fruit.) And I think the worst punishment Blackbeard could possibly get for stealing the other guy's fruit would be getting kicked off the crew. Which he'd be fine with. (And it probably wouldn't even be that.)
We know that that Laffet can fly , is extremely sneaky as we saw at the Warlord meeting and that he can hypnotise like the marines operating the gates of justice so the Blackbeard pirates could get to Marineford . Though none of that matters since he wasn't even there !

10:31 I could see a scene with Teach trying to run away to fight under mire favorable conditions with Luffy and Zoro blocking his escape routes saying something alike: "Ace wants to fight you, so you stay!" 16:46 Come to think of it: If Robin's created limbs touch Blackbeard, does that enable him to sap her powers? 32:27 I just remembered an old Scene out of Kamikaze Thief Jeanne where we saw Sindbad in one of his forays and he was just playing with the guards via some odd triangular bladed boomerang, then one of the guards shot the thing and it didn't come back to him and he promtly boasted: "Haha, not so great anymore Sindbad, now that we got your weapon!" And Sindbad, probably smirking beneath his bellydancer-esk mask: "Yeah, not exactly." And he just opens his coat and shows them that it's lined with all kinds of weapons from a scimitar across various guns up to modern bombs.
I think dragon would find out about it and asking sabo to help luffy out he would remember his brothers and they would reunite to beat up Blackbeard really early on

Revised version of this fight with no Lafitte, with the most favorable lineup for the Straw hats. Robin and Usop vs Vanauker, and Nomi and Choper vs Doc Q . If Robin could get Vanauker in her range, she could restrain him and keep him still so Usop could finish him off with gun powder star or bash his face in with Usop hammer. As for Doc Q , Eventhough we know very little about his capabilities. Nomi could use her climattack to be long ranged support for Choper. It would be a hard won fight , but I think they would be able to pull through.

Honestly they would still probably lose as ace was miles stronger than Luffy in part 1 and the less experienced crew would lose Sure Blackbeard doesn't have shiryu and the inmates but van and the crew would probably keep the strawhats busy or beat them while ace loses to Blackbeard even if Luffy helps him as Blackbeard would be able to knock out Luffy. Overall Blackbeard would have won but it wouldn't be an easy win with the strawhats
Even at that, just imagine how the end results would come up if he did and put in Impale Down as well as how both Dragon and Garp would react. If anything, Shanks would be the one saving Luffy or Whitebeard doing it as a favor for Ace
@@GGallade I think Luffy was end up broken as a result more so than what happened after marineford as he failed to save his brother 3 times from start to end. With no boa love he wouldn't be able to heal and be found if he was escaping same way so Luffy would end up in more danger and die than the original same with no reileigh. Overall Luffy was lucky. The feats Blackbeard and his crew shown like making the boss in drum island run away. Shooting birds from miles away. Bombs and super streght the strawhats would be bodies immediately and that's without lafeat.

I think he was weaker than doffy but his crew are strong Guys so Blackbeard needs to be stronger to reign them in. I mean if lafiete could invade the world government strong hold himself and works for Blackbeard you know the strawhats would have been slaughtered easily I think the best comparison is drum island where Luffy had to work so hard to beat wapol while Blackbeard just scared wapol off. That's a major power difference between the two at the time

It begs the question. Blackbeard uses his Blackhole to nullify devil fruit effects, if he used it on Chopper would he temporarily revert to a regular reindeer?
Another idea relating to the Doc-Q disease idea is that the horse is named Stronger because it's actually incredibly strong and is the only horse they were able to find that could withstand Doc-Q's disease powers.

To be fair, Luffy's bounty doesn't get updated until after the Bellamy "fight". Blackbeard wouldn't recognize Luffy, but he could tell Luffy was a bigger deal than 30 million based on his Haki. Also, am I the only one who feels there's a possibility that Blackbeard can read Poneglyphs?
I think it's a bit of a leap to consider that Doc Q has a Plague fruit, and that it is making Stronger sick. However, IF that's the case, it leads to a very wonderful explanation of Stronger's name. "What doesn't kill you, makes you..."
Or Robin just does the neck snapping thing at the start of the fight. I can say with absolute confidence that it would take out Doc Q and Van Augur. Zoro and Sanji would make quick work of Burgess. I think its very possible that all the strawhats working together could kinda stun lock blackbeard.

you forget the bar incident happen then luffy bounty happen after luffy met black beard in the bar. which made tech go after luffy because luffy beat crocodile so tech thought if he beat luffy who beat crocodile would prove he is stronger then crocodile. also if ace did say to tech that luffy was his brother he would go after luffy for more points with the navy because of how the navy act when it comes to the family of high rated criminals. especially if tech thinks its fate for him to run into both ace and his brother
I see doc q similar to shino from naruto but instead of bugs, it's pathogens. He's got the bacteria bacteria fruit and he can keep them and mix them up in his body for quick and easy dosge

What ifs should really be more frequent in the One Piece community. I mean, look at the number of Dragon Ball CZcamsrs who pretty much only do what if content. I think there is a ton of potential with One Piece What-Ifs and it'd be nigh on impossible to run out of content.
The newspapers detailing Luffy's post Alabasta bounty wasn't delivered to Jaya until after the Straw Hats first left the town so Blackbeard may not know Luffy's new bounty or that he was someone worth watching (his 30 million bounty may be enough to pique Blackbeard's interest).
If ace and Luffy entered the pub i feel like Oda would make a funny moment of Ace being ,,BLACKBEARD" whilst Charging and Luffy seeing him Charge at the Bar and seeing the Barkeep with a Black Beard, going "Gumo gumo no Pistol" at the Barkeep xD
This feels right to me but if you wanted to do another very viable what if to continue this, I could see Blackbeard getting cornered and having to cut some kind of deal to exchange his crew for Ace. Or, maybe just having to let go of aces body to get away. Anyways that would be interesting because it would set up a very crazy fight between Eneru and Ace, or at least the what if Ace went to skypeiA with the straw hats. Maybe they were able to grab Ace and run and use the knock up stream to get away from yhe BB pirates, otherwise Ace probably wouldn’t agree to go with them.
Here’s the thing, I really think Monster Chopper could really mess up the pre-timeskip Blackbeard Pirates. I don’t see pre-timeskip Burgess, Van Auger, or Doc Q being able to do much against Monster Chopper, and even Blackbeard HIMSELF, with his low pain tolerance and slow reaction speed, would be in for a VERY bad time if Monster Chopper managed to land a serious blow on him. I’m not saying Monster Chopper could’ve defeated the Blackbeard Pirates, but he definitely could’ve made them decide that retreating might be a good idea, especially since I don’t think anyone who doesn’t know what Chopper is would automatically assume that Monster Chopper was the result of a Devil Fruit. Also, yeah Usopp would have a hard time defeating Van Auger, but I honestly feel like Robin could make quick work of him.

I don't see Ace sitting on the ship twiddling his thumbs. His journey is to find Teach, so even if he was traveling with the Strawhats, Ace would check every island they visit to see if he's there. He might not go straight to the bar, but instead may elect to search the rest of the island first, telling Luffy he'd meet him at the bar later. Here's how I imagine Jaya going if Ace is traveling with the Strawhats. Ace goes off to look around while Luffy goes to the bar. The bar scene still plays out the same, but Ace shows up right before they're about to leave and THAT is when he sees Teach and the fight breaks out.
Yep Zoro and Sanji together seems to much to Burgess alone... Just because I think Lafitte's cane is a disguised Shikomizue I believe it's fine to pair him against Zoro so everyone of the monster trio gets a 1x1... This way you can put Nami and Usopp against Van Augur and Robin and Chopper against Doc Q... Although Usopp seems kinda enough to quick end the two... If he shots the basket of explosive apples or use a kayaku boshi against a guy carrying a reasonable amount of gunpowder with him he can easily one shot the two... Or Robin can clutch the two easily too... Nami and Chopper have it too based on what we have of their abilities up to Jaya... Basically until sensei *reveal what these two can really pull off* they are simple fodder... And in Teach's case there is the fact that mediant lots of despair he would just force Luffy to awaken his conqueror earlier (remember Ace himself could use it as a child)... after all this is one of the main reasons why so many people dislike Haki as a power system after all... how it improves quickly in the heat of battle... If Teach really want to win this he should never challenge the main characters... And I am still adamant that if the story changes even a little The Spade Pirates (and the rest of the second division should really come looking for Ace after all) Até mais ver mr. Poneis Ps.: and there is one last thing... If Ace was still with the Strawhat Pirates they probably wouldn't have a motive to stop in Jaya... Ace is a Sky Island veteran by this point in the story... so he could probably indicate the safer route to them...
Future Future knowledge esekai fairy here. What if Doc Q used his sickness sickness devil fruit here to turn all of the straw hats into their opposite sex counterparts. How would Sanji be able to cope?! Would chopper lose hit antlers in monster point?
I feel that Blackbeard would have used "Black Vortex" against Ace and the crew would have seen it. When he would use it against the Straw Hats most of the crew could get on top of a building avoiding it, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Robin, but the main problem is that fact that we know Blackbeard scarred Shanks before he had a devil fruits and we have actually yet to see Blackbeard use his wolverine claws. I feel that after "Black Vortex" Blackbeard would pull out the claws and each member of the Straw Hats that are still standing would either have a new scar or 1 less limb.
Even if Ace stayed on the boat, Blackbeard tried to attack them before they went into Skypiea, and at that point I'm pretty sure a Fire Fist would obliterate their raft.
Depending on how long Lafitte had his devil fruit, or whatever let him turn his arms into wings, he might have some prior experience with fighting enemies smart enough to aim for his wings while he's in the air. If he does, that might lead to him working around Robin's attempt to ground him.
Jinbe did absolutely no favors by stoping Luffy from fighting Blackbeard in Impel Down. At that point Luffy would have killed him. Not to mention that Luffy’s “crew” consisted of Jinbe, Crocodile, Ivankov, Inazuma, Bon Clay, Daz Bones, Buggy, Galdino, and a bunch of weirdos with guns and cannons. That could have EASILY been the end of the Blackbeard Pirates.
I feel like Ace would get back up seeing how he fought jimbe for a week without rest and how crazy luffy stamina is Ace would probably get back up to aid him in fighting Blackbeard
It’s usually not a problem with the what if videos but the pacing for the story. the reason they went to jaya was to ask around for the sky island and some supplies. A whole ass fight that could fill an entire climax worth of content it’ll be wierd that they had this fight and then “what were we doing? oh yeah sky island let’s go seek out more information.” Edit: not really about the main point but we wouldn’t have “peoples dreams will never die” from Blackbeard which is my favorite part from the sky island saga.
I think Blackbeard would have to sacrifice his crew (except Van Auger and Lafite who wasn't there), but he'd get away with Ace in tow. this would make Marineford happen earlier, and all the straw hats would be present. I think the time skip would still happen after and the story would pick up with Skypeia as the first arc, then Thriller Bark, then move to Fish Man island. Black Beard's crew would look pretty much the same if they got sent to Impel Down.

If Blackbeard attacked the Going Merry right before the Knock Up Stream took them to sky Island. If Ace was with them at that point he probably would have jumped ship (with his striker boat) and gone on the attack. Plus since Blackbeard's raft was destroyed by the Knock Up Stream Ace probably would have made quick work of them.

I think if I remember correctly the rule on whiteboards ship us whoever finds a df gets to eat it or do with it what they want. So in a scenario where blackboard does ask thatch for it. Maybe whitebeard would decline regardless so even if thatch wanted to give it to teach whitebeard just told him he can't.
You're under estimate the value of a df. No one's gonna leisurely give out out a df, you're probaly need to bargain, buy, or kill/steal for it.
Honestly, yeah. Blackbeard has been on the crew for so long, he and Thatch should be really old friends. Thatch would know that Blackbeard usually doesn't want something so badly, and since he found the fruit, he gets to give it away if he wants.

We honestly don't know how much blackbeard knows or knew at that point about history. But he obviously knew xebec. He was all about business and his plans to become a warlord at this point. His plan is very detailed so he probably wouldn't go on flights of fancy or curiosity too much in jaya days
One thing that’s kind of annoying for this is that we don’t know how injured Blackbeard was after fighting Ace. He could be just minimally injured, or he could be rendered useless and totally beaten to basically a draw, and his men just carried him and the unconscious Ace. That really plays a big factor
I feel like Blackbeard wouldn't really be injured but definitely exhausted with how much darkness he had to use.

Tekking! You should definitely do a video on the new trailer for Film RED! It's super short and just shows sketches of the Straw Hats designs for the movie but they're super interesting and some of them are pretty crazy! I also think they provide a great way to speculate what the movie is gonna be about(especially Frankie's design!)
Something I think might make an interesting twist during the battle with Blackbeard. I want the way they figure this out to be for Teach to somehow touch or grab Chopper so he temporarily reverts to a regular reindeer. Imagine the reactions of the various crew members as they see Chopper turned back into a normal reindeer, then maybe Teach throws Chopper at the others while they're surprised so Chopper goes back to his usual self and can tell the others what happened to him.
I think you're underestimating the BB pirates. I mean, Laffite by himself sneaked in Marijoise while Sengoku was there. The straw hats would die in that fight.
I mean, i'm pretty sure that they were comparable to the straw hats at that point, van augur didn't even use haki while shooting at ace even though the most basic of kuja warriors could do something similar, the bb pirates just got really strong really fast but at jaya they were weak and Blackbeard himself said that ALL of them weren't strong enough to take on Ace...

Idk, maybe they were, i just think that someone with 30+ years of experience on a yonko ship in the New World wouldn't have any problems fighting a 100 mil Berries rookie.

When WhiteBeard slashed at BlackBeard it basically shutdown BB's whole devil fruit and I feel like even pre-Ashura Zoro would be able to do that. The two crews ran across each other when Oden was voyaging with white beard and it’s noted that Blackbeard didn’t sleep as well as Buggy believes him to be a monster while talking to Shanks.

And bb also was able to stop whitebeards basic attack after neutralizing the gura in it and WB casually overpowers giants in base strength and it was shown in the fight BB almost breaks ace's neck with one attack that he does while also being hit he was just physically stronger than ace and his fruit was able to counteract or beat his. He was also considered for the second commander position on WB's crew so imo he had like second commander base stats and ace had like 4th commander base stats and a pretty good logia and then BB gets the Yami fruit and at that point ace can't really win. Also like he scared shanks and shanks says he wasn't careless so take that as you will.

Also no strawhat had no chance vs BB he was way too strong in Jaya he already had the darkness fruit. And also BB doesn't take twice the damage he feels twice the pain and that's because of his darkness fruit. If BB doesn't have armament haki then sure without his fruit ace could technically beat him but doesn't mean he's actually stronger against anyone else who isn't a logia
Well, considering Teach was on Whitebeards ship for a realy long time. He probably was New world level at least even at jaya. So Luffy would have no chance, just like in sabody.
But in this situation, hes tired from just fighting Ace so maybe that evens things out.
Yeah, Ace and BB were pretty even so Luffy getting one good surprise attack in would likely down Teach. Also, New World level means literally nothing, the range of power in the NW is absolutely massive.

I feel like all you really need to take down BB in this scenario is to give Zoro an opening. Since BB is actually tangible he can cut right thru him. Not saying it would be easy to do but he’d be the most effective at that time in the story. Luffy would be too aggressive and physical and get destroyed, especially if he doesn’t know about the Yami-yami canceling his DF.

This What-if has been awesome so far! But I wanted to make my own version/revisions to it to make it a bit more exciting (in my eyes at least).
So imagine that Ace decides not to go the bar with Luffy, instead hangs with Usopp, Robin and the others looking around Jaya, maybe wanting a break from all of Luffys antics on the Merry(for buildup purposes). At this point, everything is that same in Jaya from Luffy meeting Blackbeard to Bellamy and his crew stealing Crickets Gold. With everyone together, a pissed off Ace suggests going with Luffy to teach Bellamy a lesson, but Luffy declines the help, saying something along the lines of "These are my friends, my adventure Ace. I'll handle it. Not like I'll lose anyways😃" Ace is convinced, and let's Luffy beat Bellamy.
When Luffy returns, Ace decides to go, knowing Blackbeard's probably not in the White Sea right now. He bids the Straw Hats farewell, and heads to town for an Inn, supplies, and to look at Luffys handiwork. At this point he happens not only to come across Blackbeard and Co, but also overhear them talking about how they just figured out how high Luffys bounty is, and how they're going to take Luffys head. Of course furious, Ace immediately starts the fight here, and Ace is pushed into a corner at some point. The SH's may notice the blazing fires in Jaya town, and Luffy (might) notice Aces vivre card getting a bit roughed up. Here, Luffy will have to choose: Either continue thier journey to the Knock Up stream and trust Aces abilities, OR go check up on/Help Ace.
We all know what happens if they go to the Knock Up stream, but if they go to help Ace, It'll probably go the somewhat the way Tekkings says: Ussop MAY go along and will TRY to counter Auger with trickery, Chopper fights Q, Nami and Robin will probably stay back at the Merry to watch over it, Zoro and Sanji brawl with Jesus, and Luffy fights BB with some help from a wounded Ace, only for everything to end with Blackbeard pulling a quick one and capturing Ace. BB considers taking both of them for their bounties, but decides to take Ace, only because after seeing what happened in the bar eariler, he's: "a bit interested in seeing what this upstart will do after this...."
And there we have it. Sorry for the wall of text, I just really wanted to type this out. Have a good one.

Blackbeard- "Hang on, that one looks familiar. Let me get a closer look at it, I think I might know what it is." Grab. Chomp. Swallow.
"HEY!"
Blackbeard- "Just as I thought, it's the one I've been looking for, for years now."
(Alternatively, just knock the guy out without killing him, then take the fruit.)
And I think the worst punishment Blackbeard could possibly get for stealing the other guy's fruit would be getting kicked off the crew. Which he'd be fine with. (And it probably wouldn't even be that.)
We know that that Laffet can fly , is extremely sneaky as we saw at the Warlord meeting and that he can hypnotise like the marines operating the gates of justice so the Blackbeard pirates could get to Marineford . Though none of that matters since he wasn't even there !

Revised version of this fight with no Lafitte, with the most favorable lineup for the Straw hats.
Robin and Usop vs Vanauker, and Nomi and Choper vs Doc Q . If Robin could get Vanauker in her range, she could restrain him and keep him still so Usop could finish him off with gun powder star or bash his face in with Usop hammer.
As for Doc Q , Eventhough we know very little about his capabilities. Nomi could use her climattack to be long ranged support for Choper. It would be a hard won fight , but I think they would be able to pull through.
The range of Van Augur would shoot them before they come in range, we saw him shoot the seagull without them even knowing someone was around
the fight with Chopper and Q will be interesting given how Q and Dr. Hiriluk look alike

Overall Blackbeard would have won but it wouldn't be an easy win with the strawhats
Even at that, just imagine how the end results would come up if he did and put in Impale Down as well as how both Dragon and Garp would react.

@@GGallade I think Luffy was end up broken as a result more so than what happened after marineford as he failed to save his brother 3 times from start to end. With no boa love he wouldn't be able to heal and be found if he was escaping same way so Luffy would end up in more danger and die than the original same with no reileigh.
Overall Luffy was lucky. The feats Blackbeard and his crew shown like making the boss in drum island run away. Shooting birds from miles away. Bombs and super streght the strawhats would be bodies immediately and that's without lafeat.

you forget the bar incident happen then luffy bounty happen after luffy met black beard in the bar. which made tech go after luffy because luffy beat crocodile so tech thought if he beat luffy who beat crocodile would prove he is stronger then crocodile. also if ace did say to tech that luffy was his brother he would go after luffy for more points with the navy because of how the navy act when it comes to the family of high rated criminals. especially if tech thinks its fate for him to run into both ace and his brother

I see doc q similar to shino from naruto but instead of bugs, it's pathogens. He's got the bacteria bacteria fruit and he can keep them and mix them up in his body for quick and easy dosge

What ifs should really be more frequent in the One Piece community. I mean, look at the number of Dragon Ball CZcamsrs who pretty much only do what if content. I think there is a ton of potential with One Piece What-Ifs and it'd be nigh on impossible to run out of content.
The newspapers detailing Luffy's post Alabasta bounty wasn't delivered to Jaya until after the Straw Hats first left the town so Blackbeard may not know Luffy's new bounty or that he was someone worth watching (his 30 million bounty may be enough to pique Blackbeard's interest).
If ace and Luffy entered the pub i feel like Oda would make a funny moment of Ace being ,,BLACKBEARD" whilst Charging and Luffy seeing him Charge at the Bar and seeing the Barkeep with a Black Beard, going "Gumo gumo no Pistol" at the Barkeep xD
This feels right to me but if you wanted to do another very viable what if to continue this, I could see Blackbeard getting cornered and having to cut some kind of deal to exchange his crew for Ace. Or, maybe just having to let go of aces body to get away.
Anyways that would be interesting because it would set up a very crazy fight between Eneru and Ace, or at least the what if Ace went to skypeiA with the straw hats. Maybe they were able to grab Ace and run and use the knock up stream to get away from yhe BB pirates, otherwise Ace probably wouldn’t agree to go with them.
Here’s the thing, I really think Monster Chopper could really mess up the pre-timeskip Blackbeard Pirates. I don’t see pre-timeskip Burgess, Van Auger, or Doc Q being able to do much against Monster Chopper, and even Blackbeard HIMSELF, with his low pain tolerance and slow reaction speed, would be in for a VERY bad time if Monster Chopper managed to land a serious blow on him. I’m not saying Monster Chopper could’ve defeated the Blackbeard Pirates, but he definitely could’ve made them decide that retreating might be a good idea, especially since I don’t think anyone who doesn’t know what Chopper is would automatically assume that Monster Chopper was the result of a Devil Fruit.
Also, yeah Usopp would have a hard time defeating Van Auger, but I honestly feel like Robin could make quick work of him.
Didn't the blackbeard pirates attack drum island before the straw hats arrived? That was why wapol ran away for a bit. Maybe it was monster point chopper that got them to leave again.

I don't see Ace sitting on the ship twiddling his thumbs. His journey is to find Teach, so even if he was traveling with the Strawhats, Ace would check every island they visit to see if he's there. He might not go straight to the bar, but instead may elect to search the rest of the island first, telling Luffy he'd meet him at the bar later. Here's how I imagine Jaya going if Ace is traveling with the Strawhats. Ace goes off to look around while Luffy goes to the bar. The bar scene still plays out the same, but Ace shows up right before they're about to leave and THAT is when he sees Teach and the fight breaks out.
This is a better choice for Blackbeard since if he went to Enies Lobby he would have to fight Garp

Just because I think Lafitte's cane is a disguised Shikomizue I believe it's fine to pair him against Zoro so everyone of the monster trio gets a 1x1...
This way you can put Nami and Usopp against Van Augur and Robin and Chopper against Doc Q... Although Usopp seems kinda enough to quick end the two...
If he shots the basket of explosive apples or use a kayaku boshi against a guy carrying a reasonable amount of gunpowder with him he can easily one shot the two...
Or Robin can clutch the two easily too... Nami and Chopper have it too based on what we have of their abilities up to Jaya...
Basically until sensei *reveal what these two can really pull off* they are simple fodder...
And in Teach's case there is the fact that mediant lots of despair he would just force Luffy to awaken his conqueror earlier (remember Ace himself could use it as a child)... after all this is one of the main reasons why so many people dislike Haki as a power system after all... how it improves quickly in the heat of battle...
If Teach really want to win this he should never challenge the main characters...
And I am still adamant that if the story changes even a little The Spade Pirates (and the rest of the second division should really come looking for Ace after all)

I feel that Blackbeard would have used "Black Vortex" against Ace and the crew would have seen it. When he would use it against the Straw Hats most of the crew could get on top of a building avoiding it, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Robin, but the main problem is that fact that we know Blackbeard scarred Shanks before he had a devil fruits and we have actually yet to see Blackbeard use his wolverine claws.
I feel that after "Black Vortex" Blackbeard would pull out the claws and each member of the Straw Hats that are still standing would either have a new scar or 1 less limb.

Even if Ace stayed on the boat, Blackbeard tried to attack them before they went into Skypiea, and at that point I'm pretty sure a Fire Fist would obliterate their raft.
Depending on how long Lafitte had his devil fruit, or whatever let him turn his arms into wings, he might have some prior experience with fighting enemies smart enough to aim for his wings while he's in the air. If he does, that might lead to him working around Robin's attempt to ground him.

Jinbe did absolutely no favors by stoping Luffy from fighting Blackbeard in Impel Down. At that point Luffy would have killed him. Not to mention that Luffy’s “crew” consisted of Jinbe, Crocodile, Ivankov, Inazuma, Bon Clay, Daz Bones, Buggy, Galdino, and a bunch of weirdos with guns and cannons. That could have EASILY been the end of the Blackbeard Pirates.
I don't know if it's just me but I don't see any way for shiryu to be as strong a zoro when he was not even the strongest dude in impel down

It’s usually not a problem with the what if videos but the pacing for the story. the reason they went to jaya was to ask around for the sky island and some supplies. A whole ass fight that could fill an entire climax worth of content it’ll be wierd that they had this fight and then “what were we doing? oh yeah sky island let’s go seek out more information.”
Edit: not really about the main point but we wouldn’t have “peoples dreams will never die” from Blackbeard which is my favorite part from the sky island saga.

I think Blackbeard would have to sacrifice his crew (except Van Auger and Lafite who wasn't there), but he'd get away with Ace in tow. this would make Marineford happen earlier, and all the straw hats would be present. I think the time skip would still happen after and the story would pick up with Skypeia as the first arc, then Thriller Bark, then move to Fish Man island. Black Beard's crew would look pretty much the same if they got sent to Impel Down.
