The return to the slow shuffle part in Tube, after the jam, and the subsequent modulation that happens 8 bars later was perhaps the most amazing reaction I've ever seen from an audience ever, and I've been seeing this band for over 25 years. We were a few rows behind the stage directly behind the band and the energy, adulation and cheers coming from the audience was like nothing I've ever felt before. Unreal. One of the best first sets ever, imo. Thanks so much for posting this!!
Can second this. Everybody in the room knew what was about to happen. That was incredible. This whole set was incredible. Maybe my favorite ever. Def the best I've ever been in attendance for.
I remember Trey's reaction during the transition into Weekapaug after Glide II. He didn't want Weekapaug so soon. This is evidenced by it's return in the Tube jam. The surge of joy from the audience when they went into Weekapaug was just amazing. This was my favorite first set of the run. The segue back into Tube is just really something to listen to. I thought the place was going to implode !!
Best show of the run right here. At first I like 12/29 more cuz I'm a big tweezer fan but this 12/30 show is so flawless and beautifully constructed! Cant wait for summer 19!

I (unfortunately) wasnt there..but that transition was flawless..1 of the many reasons they've been my favorite band (by far) since 1996..just wow

Totally agree (see my above post). The energy in that place when they returned back to Tube after the jam was something rare and really special....
sometimes i wish every jam started at minute 1. i love tube.
So great! Pobably my favorite memory of the weekend, our whole section in the 100s was on the floor when they went back into Tube.

Yes!! Well done sir! This is a must see highlight of this run. I love how the camera conveys that floor gets shaking and quaking right from the bat.
Before Tube kicks in, Trey leans over towards Fishman and makes a cylindrical hand motion indicating Tube.
