There can never be a forever battery due to several reasons. If it's not material quality issue then can be faults due to production and if not due that then hazards on the road or simply accidents. To make sure that there will be no such faults, companies will have to pay higher price for lithium and more in production to make sure that all batteries work 100% but that will also cost a lot of money. Lithium purity has been on of the contributor to battery fires, can they easily be sure that there will be no such lithium quality issue? No.
