Oh hey that’s cool! Debbie Johanson is a cousin of mine! :D I actually hadn’t known until now she had been teaching as a middle school choir teacher. My dad had just shown me this video and was talking about her being good friends with Lindsey.
This song is one of my favorites. It appears, it was posted 10 years ago. At a time when I used to complain. That there wasn't any good new music 🎼. Little did I know. There was plenty of it. Thank you for playing it and putting it on CZcams. It in addition to all of your other songs. They are a joy to listen to. As well as to watch. In my opinion, they truly are fabulous works of art. I saw Lindsey in Albuquerque a couple nights ago and she was spectacular. If you ever get the chance to see her live, do so. It is not something you will regret.

This song makes me want to cry, and smile, and sit silently in a forest meadow with my favorite people all at once. Every single time I hear it, no matter who is performing it or how. Lindsey, you did a PHENOMENAL job.

First I imagine two friends watching the sunset and one of them describing the beauty of the light in the other friend's country. The harp is the quiet friend from the country and the violin is the girl who has never seen this place is astounded by the beauty. They watch and talk for some time until they know they will have to part, but they reminise about what have happened if the violin lived here and experienced this beauty everyday, and would she still think it is beautiful. 2:06 the sun sets and they both pause. Lights of the stars flash around the scene and they know that this is it, as they see a giant shooting star in the sky.

hey I named my cello Milly after her shade of vermillion varnish she has. I bet all musicians name their instruments at one point in their lives.
I kinda call my cello Orange or Goldie in my head cause it's made of an orange-ish golden-ish wood depending on the light, but mainly orange.
in this video her violin is Excalibur the one without the body that she uses in her concert the shiny that is Cleopatra, and the black violin name Nero
The way they smile and move as they play their instruments, shows that they are doing all that they love and they will continue with it. I love how I could hear their emotions through these instruments.

The harp was the accomplice, not the soloist, for most violin solos with an accomplice (usually piano) you’d want to hear the violin more than the piano because you came to watch a solo, not a duet. For example, Ko Sohyun’s performance of Zigeunerweisen, had a pianist as her accomplice, which definitely made the piece feel less empty, however, Ko Sohyun was listed as the soloist not the pianist.
It's centered on the violin so of course the violin is prominent. Why listen to a violin piece of you're going to complain about the violin?
Ella Michaud I understand exactly what you mean even if it's a violin solo there needs to be a certain balance so that it doesn't sound like they're out playing each other. With that said I still think this is an awesome cover.

Everyone is unique, everyone is special in their own way. If you try your best then that's all it matters. Everyone is at least talented at one thing, you might haven't found it yet but it's true. Keep trying and don't ever give up, it doesn't matter how many times you fail or it doesn't work out for you, it's about how many times you try again. You might not be the best at doing that thing. Trying, believing and most importantly give it some effort, if you work for it you'll get something in return, just work for it, try your best and never think of the negative things, never put yourself down, if you think you can't do it then no one else can either. She lives in Gilbert AZ...but i'm pretty sure this isn't it. I used to live in Glendale, which is pretty close to Gilbert...and it certainly didn't look like this.
I think it is on the old highway, next to I-15, south of Spanish Fork in Utah. Lindsey lives in Los Angeles now.

Please never abandon. I played the violin 15 years ago, did it for 2 years. Two of the most wonderful years of my life. Sadly, I gave up on it when I was not good enough to play at my school festival. Hurt by pride, I just abandoned. Now looking back I wish I never gave up. Consistency and effort make someone good. Skills need training, but most importantly, a humble attitude.
So peaceful, I feel so many emotions. I feel like i am traveling all over the world listening to the same beautiful song in my ears.

She came over to my house to have fun, but I think she just came to see me one last time. She told me she wanted to look at some of my clothes, but shut the closet doors behind her and grabbed a hanger, planning to end her life. She would've done it, but I started playing this song... She came out with tears in her eyes and hugged me, telling me everything and thanking me and you for saving her life

One of the first piano pieces I ever memorized. I'd play it with my eyes closed and just FEEL the music as I played. The river really does flow through you. And me. Through all of us. This beautiful rhythm of the river. It is so rapid and everchanging, always in motion, and yet the same river it always was. We are all like the river. Moving forward. Tumbling over the rocks and flowing with the currents and the breeze. Blending with the land and drifting under and over and in between it all. Oh, to be one with the river that flows in you. What a cascade of emotions this invokes, and all cleansing and nourishing for the soul and soil. Much love

Hey Jeni...I love that others are choosing Lindsey's music for their weddings because she is simply amazing but on the other we are all too few and far between that there isn't a lot of advise online for what to go with. I was looking at the same two sections that you chose and I was hoping that my DJ was going to have a profession opinion on this. I like the second of the two because its stronger which I want to set my self apart from the rest but I like the gradual build of from the first. If a blend is possible I would love it. If you chose this for yourself what did you choose for the rest of your ceremony? Just interested because I'm still torn on a few selections. Hopefully, my dj can help us both I will let you know what I find.
