Hey Matt! I think you hit everything spot on, but rather than set an alarm, why don't you let your body wake up when it's ready? I've learned that setting an alarm might disrupt my sleep state, and if I can, just sleeping until I'm ready to wake up.

Sitting down and writing chunks of your life isn't really everyone's style. I can't keep up with journaling my days but I do so with my years. Kinda have a scrapbook which contains my years going forward and how over time I've changed a lot.

Showering is an important part if my morning routine. I talk to God, pre plan and invision my day, and I get clean. I enjoy listening to music that is uplifting. It also is a buffer for those mornings when you're really trying to put your ass in gear and are having a difficult time. Great ideas have come to me in the shower.

Hey! So I recently have added to my (normal) morning routine.
Here's my previous:
(edit: ignore the timestamps; that's just the time I wake up)
5:57 First Alarm, so I'm not immediately waking up at 6
6:00 Wake up (I typically hit snooze until 6:15, not as much lately!)
6:05 Make my bed, chug some water, bathroom
6:10 Get dressed
6:20 Coffee + Breakfast / Pack bag
6:45 Brush teeth
6:50 To the bus!
Currently:
5:00 Wake up / make the bed, water
5:05 Get dressed for physical activity
5:10 Out the door for a run (about half a mile)
5:30 Get home / work out (25 min) & stretch (5 min)
6:00 Shower
6:10 Get dressed
Same routine from here
Few pointers:
A) Make the bed. First task of the day is done and it makes your room look neater
B) Drink a bunch of water
C) Physical activity helps wake you up
D) SLEEP!!!!! (Aim for 7-9 hours)
E) Set out clothes for tomorrow
Yeah, it's a lot but I actually stick with it. Making my bed is now an actual habit.

Hey Matt! I think if you wanted to talk about "Quality Mornings" you should also mention about the night before. Because quality morning begins with quality night. Most people forget that to wake up early we have to sleep early too đ€

I really appreciate how honest you are. I love watching morning routine videos, but always feel bad about myself because none of the things they suggest work for me. I also fall asleep trying to do meditation in the morning. I hate mornings, and Iâm learning to accept that I just do my better work later in the day and thatâs okay. But I also want to start my day off strong. Iâm still working on it.
Love this! I feel like spend way too much time in my morning routine and when the time comes to get the work done Iâm already tired after meditating for an hour, yoga or gym, journaling, self care and breakfast. Wake up and go to work sounds like perfect routine to try out instead.
My morning routine:
Wake up and smash my phone alarm, throw some cold water on my face, proceed to put clothes on and head out the door.

my morning routine:
7a.m., the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'till the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15
And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two or three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitar and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder: when will my life begin?

What I love about your videos and this one in particular is that you don't pretend to have this perfect morning routine that you do every day and this perfect life full of productivity. On the contrary, you are showing us the reality, the difficulties of having and maintaining such a routine (sick day, lack of motivation ..) and you are sharing your doubts and challenges. My morning routine this semester:
- wake up at 6am
- let dog out, feed dog
- poop while social media
- brush teeth and invisalign
- put on scrubs, hair in bun
- leave at 630am for school with cold brew or some sort of energy drink in hand
- commute for 2 hrs
U do all that In 30 minutes
The poop part takes about 20 to 30 mins for me alone how do you do all that in 30 min

Then sleep for an hour
Then wake up again to realize I slept for an hour

Nobody has a perfect morning routine, if you do thatâs weird. But I believe there should be an ideal system, where you do some sort of meditating, exercise, etc all the good stuff. But none of us are perfect, some mornings you just wake up late and are in a rush, and for that you should have emergency morning routines that only take 2 minutes or less.
Example emergency routine:
Jump out of bed, do 10 jumping jacks or high knees, take a 30 second cold shower, brush teeth in the cold shower, stretch your legs for 15 seconds, read half a page of a book that will improve your life.
That only took 2 minutes, if you compound that daily over 10 years, thatâs over 121 hours of self improvement. Youâll be far ahead with just this tiny routine. And this is just back up, not your main morning routine.

Getting out of bed is the first win of the day. Brushing your teeth is another easy win and essential part of ours. Getting hydrated and fed just enough to get you going is a huge one (water, blueberries, oatmeal, etc.). Everything after that depends on your schedule for the day. Big fans of getting outside to walk, run, hike or exercise on the weekend and during the week it is just straight to work and some sort of human interaction. Keep the routine flexible and keep it moving!

3 years ago when I was 17, I built a morning routine that was centred around being less lazy, it included going to he gym, half way through the semester I was in peak physical longevity condition, and lost 45lbs in 5 months
Just to clarify, I'm now 20, and gained 60lbs in the last 2 years

dislocated by spine due to a wrestling injury (when I was at the top of my game) which lead me to using crutches for a few months.
Self esteem got crushed and hit rock bottom in my life due to loneliness and emotional manipulation in relationships.
Glad to say I'd rather be ugly but have confidence than be young, good looking but naive and lack confidence.
Also don't worry I'm back in the gym

I now wake up at 5:30 and go for a 25 minute run to get an active start to the day. After I have a cold shower and make a coffee and head to school/work. Keep it up Matt!

I've stopped reading the news or being on my phone when having breakfast it has helped me actually enjoy the food I'm eating much more and it gives me the time to wake up without being flooded with information
I found that watching the news and social media makes me feel bad and negative
So do I. Also I wish to develop a self newsfeed to just see what is necessary if needed (like weather, job opportunities, traffic congestion, etc).

I've found that the best thing for my morning routine is having a strong night routine. I pack my bag and lay out my clothes, clean my room, pack lunch for the next day, etc., then in the morning I'm ready to go. Being prepared prevents me from making more excuses to not get out of bed.

My Morning Routine since May 2019
1. Deep Prayers
2. Simple HIIT workouts (5 - 10mins)
3. Practice Drum Rudiments (5 mins; I like challenges)
4. Meditate (10 mins; clear my mind before reading)
5. Read a book (15 mins; readers are leaders)

-Sit on toilet for 25 minutes.
-Brush teeth and shower.
-Realize Iâm now late and shouldnât have sat next on the toilet for 25 minutes.
-Leave.
