I'm so happy for you guys got the chance to cruise again - I got to run down to Port Canaveral and watch MARDI GRAS arrive in port, video on the channel ;) I loveddddd it and it got me back into the cruising mood. Of course I sobbed remembering the Fantasy and all the other ships lost. I'm so glad cruising is back - thanks for bringing us with you! It's such a gift to see again.

Woohoo! You can find smaller ships still on some specialty lines, like maybe Regent, WindStar, SeaDream, and lines like that. None of the mainstream cruise lines have anything under about 2,000 these days it seems, ranging up to 6,000 and 8,000 and who knows what!! :P
I like the muster drill as is. To be honest it’s 15 minutes out of 7 days. People have no respect for rules and bitch at everything they’re asked to do.
The new digital method was SO painless... I remember having to stand crammed in with hundreds of people in the heat, and Dee almost fainted a couple of times. Hoping this new method is here to stay!! :P

As a former crewmember, it is not at all surprising that many people do not complete the safety briefing on their own. Too many guests check their brains at the gangway. This is what we always had to endure. Guiding stupid people to do the most basic of tasks. I will never understand how some of these people earn enough to cruise at all.
Eh, we always try to research, read, absorb information, and be prepared to do things in a timely manner, hah... I never realized that there were so many people who just don't do that!! :P

No, with the cruise fully vaccinated other than youth who aren’t eligible, no masks are required for adults, inside or out. Only 15 and younger are required to mask indoors. Royal has chosen to follow the latest CDC guidance on that.
