1. congrats on getting engaged!! enjoy your engagement, i'm getting married in april and it went by so freaking fast!
2. milk fed - if you want more books on disordered eating, both I'm Glad My Mom Died and Hunger by Roxane Gay were phenomenal memoirs on the subject (Roxane's is more about binge disordered eating). Milk Fed was great but for me I could not handle the gross sex scene depictions 😂 great book though
3. I also read I am I am I am this month and felt similarly, a little bit disorganized and a few sections that fell a little short, still a 4 star for me but I'm a high rater when it comes to memoirs
4. I lol'd at the wind bc I live in central tx and this took me back to a week ago when the wind and cold were doing way too fkn much 😑

Loved this wrap up! When We Were Bright and Beautiful is on my shelf and high on my TBR. I think I'm going to love it, though your caveat about the courtroom drama being totally unrealistic gives me pause. I work in criminal defense and ridiculous courtroom scenes make me roll my eyes hard, lol.
Nightcrawling is also on my shelf & high on my TBR. I lived in Oakland throughout my 20s up to my mid 30s so I think it will be particularly interesting for me.

I also didn't like School for Good Mothers and normally I love dystopia.
I've seen some good reviews of Milk Fed and I've never really read a good ED book so maybe I'll read it. I own it!
Unfortunately I didn't really like Exit West but I'm starting to think I'm not a fan of magical realism in general.
