Hello my friends, I'm Seoul Walker.
Today, let's walk around Gangnam Station on Friday evening. In this video you can see many people going home after a work, waiting for the bus, and many young people coming out to enjoy the night.
Actually most clubs in Gangnam have been shut down for over a month because of the coronavirus. Also most people wear masks when they go out. These days it's so easy to get a mask in South Korea. People can buy two masks a week at every pharmacy in the country. So we no longer have to wait in line to buy a mask. Because the government and mask companies has made more than 10 million masks a day. Currently, 50 million people live in Korea. It's 1500won(USD 1.2) for one. In fact, Gangnam is the most popular area especially for young people in Seoul. People don't have a panic, but of course we always think this situation is serious and most people are participating in social distance except famous places like Gangnam. Enjoy your walk.

Gangnam Station is a station in the Gangnam District and Seocho District of Seoul, South Korea, on the Seoul Subway Line 2. This station serves as a crucial transfer point between Line 2 and buses to all over Seoul and southern Gyeonggi Province. It became the northern terminus of the Shinbundang Line on October 29, 2011, the southern terminus being at Jeongja Station.
Both stations have two tracks and two side platforms.
The area surrounding the station is an important commercial and entertainment district. The station is located at the western end of Teheranno, home to many corporate headquarters and impressive towers, while the area immediately to the north of the station is densely packed with bars, restaurants and clubs. There are also many shops in the subway station below ground. In 2007, the area was the 10th most expensive shopping street in the world with an average rent of US$431 per square foot.
The section of Gangnam Boulevard from exit No.2 of this station to exit No.5 of Sinnonhyeon Station of Line 9 is designated as a smoke-free zone by the Gangnam District office.
Line 2 runs on the right hand track, whereas the Shinbundang Line runs on the left hand track; this is because the Shinbundang Line is a national railway line (which typically runs on the left), while Line 2 is a subway line (which typically runs on the right in Seoul). This can be confusing to tourists making a transfer here, as many tourists are accustomed to riding on either the left-hand track or the right-hand track.

here in canada it's still pretty hard to get masks :( everywhere is sold out, and even frontline healthcare workers are starting to run low. seeing this video and reading this comment gives me a little hope that this whole situation can get better with time.

That's right. Korea is the safest country in the world and has the lowest crime rate. Korea is not anxious at all even when walking around the streets at night. Koreans have many conscientious and honest people, so they never steal other people's things. Therefore, Korea has been praised by neighboring countries for being the most polite country in Asia for a long time ago. Seoul is a modern city with excellent infrastructure to become one of the top 10 cities in the world. Only 40 years ago, Seoul was barren.

@@zxcvqwer8437 If you mean the COVID-19 situation, on 9 Aprill there were 1424 cases in the Warsaw area, 42 person died. In the whole country 5575/ 174 so comparing to other countrys like Italy, Spain or USA we're fine. And basicly, we just stay at home, if we can.
I am sure you will get a chance to visit Seoul, and you will make a ton of friends if you just speak a few sentences and idioms in Korean. powodzenia!

It's like an entire country of flawless skin.
When I was an exchange student in Korea and I used to walk around these streets. Since I lived in Suwon, every time I come to Seoul and every time I go home, I was waiting for my 5100 bus here at Shinnonhyeon yeok. I could even wait for the bus at 2 am at night which means that Korea is super safe. I miss that so bad T.T

People makes that sort of line to take a bus goes to the out skirt of Seoul cause each long distance buses have their own pole sign. But when we take an inner city or short range bus normally we don't do that.

I actually recommend fall. Since Korea is a mountainous country, fall is breathtakingly beautiful too.

급한 일이 있어 선유도역 근처에 갔는데 사회적거리두기는 어디로 갔는지 적지않은 직장인들이 술집에 있는 거 보고 놀랐습니다. 심지어 고깃집에는 연세드신 분들이 술과 고기 먹으며 이야기 나누는 모습에 너무 화가 났어요. 저들로 인해 사회적 거리두기가 길어질거 같아 화가 납니다. 벚꽃구경 저도 하고 싶고 놀러가고 싶고 맛난 음식 먹으며 친한 친구들과 수다떨고 싶습니다. 그런데 지금은 아니잖아요. 제발 모두 정부가 하라는대로 협조 좀 합시다!!
