Battle of Osowiec fortress
The fortress was built in the years 1882-1892 as one of the defensive works to protect the western borders of Russia against Germany, and continuously modernised afterwards to cope with advances in heavy siege artillery. The fortress saw heavy fighting during the beginning of World War I in the eastern front from September 1914 until the Russian Army abandoned it in August 1915. In the interwar years the fortress was used by the Polish Army. During the German invasion of Poland in 1939 it was bypassed and did not see much fighting.

That was epic, man. I loved how intense the first battle was with the hand to hand combat. Also when the Russian soldier let the German medic pull his wounded friend off the battlefreild. You are a legend.

I always love the fact you use a narrator for most of the history films. He’s really good. I’d give him a 10/10 rating for narration.

This battle is comparable to Stalingrad on the topic looks on the soldiers and officers faces,both battles had hand to hand combat,blood everywhere,screaming of people every where,men being cut in half,medics overwhelmed on both sides,brutal close quarters combat,And intense firefights.The last place you would want to be would be these two

It is a confirmed with a whole load of sources that severely wounded Russian soldiers mounted a counter attack after the gas attack and the Germans did retreat. In fact, I can't really find anybody saying this didn't happen other than you. This is because this battle was super well documented because of its importance and the surprise on the German's end.

What’s amazes me about the battle is that the Russians were dying from the gas, but they continued to fight for the motherland
Can we apperciate the fact that he added the part when the Russian commander didn't shoot Hitler in the first battle.

Dead man attack is a offensive on Osowiec Castle in the border of Poland and East Prussia (now in Bavarian Germany).
This taught me more history than school
