When you weight 260 lbs and you can do back flips. You are a hell of an athlete. Just insane. We will see him in the future after NCAA count on it.
he didnt do Backflip
@@holdencawffle626 are you smoking crack?
Looks like his coach gave it a 10
I'm hoping MMA but he wants to do pro wrestling. Would be a damn shame if he didn't do professional fighting.
@@scrambled_eggs929 Well he is going to the olympics as a junior in college. Probably going to win gold. So id say what my original comment counts. But yeah WWE? Its an easy pay check but you know this man wants to compete in real world and dominate. You know he will go MMA or something similar. He would be a star in a few years. That is for sure.
Steveson has not looked in "trouble' this entire season. He's just so dominant
Get out here bro
I hate fan boys

So true! He’s been completely and utterly dominant! No contest!
A true definition of a freak of nature.
An “anomaly “.
gable steveson’s backflip celebration >>>>
incredible
I was looking at some of his state matches in high school he won and he was doing it back then too! Born entertainer
Explosive!
He’s going to win next year too.
Ohh what I thought both were seniors

Let me make this clear, there are no doubters here in Minnesota. There are smack talkers from all over but in reality they are just jealous Gable is not wearing their college colors. Gable is well deserving of his DH trophy, he’s something special and he wrestles in the coveted big boy division. He’s as good as advertised.
Not even a year later and this young man is a different beast and multiple levels above the best collegiate wrestlers.
I think he has the potential to be as great as people like Brock Lesnar athletically. But of course, whether a person can become a famous athlete depends on a lot other things too.
The height of that backflip he does is crazy
Complete and utter dominance! Heck yes Gable! Go Gophers!
That big dude doing flips and somersaults like that, makes me embarrassed that I have trouble standing up.
the walking back and forth with Mason did it for me
That athleticism needs to be rewarded, either the WWE, UFC or NFL. Dude needs to get paid, over 250lbs doing backflips and winning NCAA's lol.
He will play in the NFL or he will be the Wwe Champion soon enough
AEW ought to pick him up. This guy as POTENTIAL.
The Olympic gold netted him $250,000
There's no guarantee that athleticism will translate to the NFL. He's a good sized guy, but it's not like he has ideal size. Avg size for a DT in the NFL is 6'3", a bit over 300lbs. He's not necessarily too small, but at the same time it's not like wow he has amazing athleticism like Brock had 20 years ago (relative to players back then).
I'm always skeptical of guys like this that never played football. Why did he never play football? That's seriously an important question that needs to be answered.
Frankly though, avg career length in the NFL is very short. Sure, the upside is high if he became all-pro or something but that's so tough, like there are tons of freak athletes that never make it the final roster of an NFL team. Even if he has the athleticism he's starting years and years behind other players.
Hopefully he's just using this football thing as leverage for his negotiations and he will choose to go WWE and potentially do UFC sometime down the line.
@@jesses5463this comment is kind of funny to look back on… wonder how he’ll do for my bills?
MN and MI are both states close to my heart. Spent most of my youth in both states. Happy to see a finals with both states in it. Great match.
They are two states filled with privileged white racists.
@@jesses5463 Congratulations on bringing up race in a comment section of a video that has little to nothing to do with race. Let me guess, you think you deserve some kind of social justice gold medal. There are shitty people everywhere of every race. Doesn't reflect on everyone in two decently populated states.
Thank you so much for your humble example!
This guy is a man amongst boys. Figuratively speaking.
Steveson vs Lesnar at next year’s Wrestlemania!
Just pretty cool to see someone so dominant that he’s on a level that very few ever get too.
As long as these 2 guys are in the heavyweight division Cassiopi will be mired with 3rd place finishes..I've never seen heavyweights lower there level and hit blast doubles like Stevenson or a low single like Parris..Cassiopi can't lower his level and can only do a snatch single because he doesn't have the level of agility and athleticism as these freaks of nature..VERY IMPRESSIVE!!
you must not watch him wrestle im friends with his brothers and i see him wrestle and oh man can he wrestle
Great event!
Awesome performance
Love that gable Stevenson did a backflip in my hometown
Both in WWE.. future Rivals! Face and Heel
Congratulations Gable!
smart interview!
Who is here after Gable just won gold?
Saw his documentary. Highly recommend it. You don't see the cocky, persona Gable Steveson. You see good kid, from a nice family, just trying to make a mark and deal with the haters.
where can i see his documentary?
When you realize your being hunted 6:09 😂😂
BEAST MODE
Boom. Heavyweight backflip!
And now both of these guys are signed to WWE's NIL (Next In Line) deal along with 14 more athletes.
Gable is such a freak I can't wait to see him in mma
Gable would be a hell of a center in the NFL or even on the d line. That’s Aaron Donald folks. If not more athletic.
I said same thing his athleticism reminds me of Aaron Donald
he’s so goated
WWE just signed Gable.
Just hand him the HWT 2022 Championship while you’re at it!
NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
Honestly Gable should’ve been a champion a lot earlier. He should’ve won as a freshman, and would’ve most definitely won last year if the season ended with the NCAAs
Mason Paris: Why do I hear boss music?
I been saying Vikes need to offer this dude a contract at 3-tech
I've been telling everyone the reason he dominates is because he a world class athlete.
He won ncaa and the olympics in the same year? Wow
Don't even throw out the WWE, he is not a professional entertainer, he's a national champion of College Wrestling.
For real plus I heard he only going to wrestle college thats it he wants to persute his career!
Shut up Matthew
He said he wanted to be in the WWE. Brock Lesnar was also in the WWE after his wrestling career.
Stevenson’s brother is currently signed and he’s friend’s with Brock Lesnar.
WWE pays better
I love it when you call me big poppa.

who would of thought he won gold at Tokyo!!!!!
Love that there are Aaron Donald comparisons in the comments. I was thinking the same thing

High school heavyweight were not big . They tended to be guys with weight problems. That certainly isn't the case with these Division 1 brutes.

The parallels he shares with Lesnar are uncanny. And to think he’s at 280lbs, maybe 9% body fat
At two mins and forty seconds why does he just let him escape giving him a freebie point
What is his daily, normal weight? Who knows?
The year Steveson wrestles in the finals he doesn’t wear a golden gopher singlet
Good thing Anthony Casaer is graduated
Please, Gable would kill him now. Cassar beat him twice, but Gable has long passed him by.

Gable's parents must have known he'd become a great wrestler when they named him.
I hope Gable goes to the UFC eventually. He needs to go talk with DC immediately.
He should go to AEW, he would make more money in Professional Wrestling than he would by jumping straight into MMA.
@@ANT1989 I don’t get why wrestlers want to keep wrestling after they get a gold medal. You’ve reached the pinnacle of that sport so it’s time to move on. There is no money in wrestling either (unless you count fake wrestling like the WWE). Look at Jordan Burroughs, he’s one of the most decorated wrestlers in USA history and pretty much no one knows or cares in America.
Hed make more money in general... Jon jones made 11 million his whole career.... brock lesnar makes more than that a match.
If AJ Ferrari goes up to HWT its going to 💥
Lol I don’t like his chances against Kerk, Cass, or Mason let alone Gable.
Ferrari didn’t impress me that much. He struggled to beat Bonnacorsi in the finals.
@@tdavidg9176 it’s impressive that he did it as a freshman. But it will truly be impressive if he continues to improve. We will have to see. I am however on the fence if his rides are stall tactics because sometimes they very much look like it.
@@greatstate58 true he is a freshman. I felt 197 was a bit weak this year. Definitely no JDen Cox, Bo Nickal or Kolin Moore type at the weight this year. It was wide open to whoever was going to have a good tournament.

Two and 0! Despite being outweighed by 40 pounds. It wasn’t a rivalry, cassar never lost!
I hope he sees where he can go in MMA before he jumps into the WWE
Doubt MMA....
Why would he want to make less money and take more damage ? There’s a reason these athletes go to WWE more often
@@Francomudbone too bad real wrestling cannot find a platform. I guess people love to be lied to.
wwe a show not real
You have it backwards. He's close to a decade away from hitting his physical prime for MMA. He also has a ton to learn and at this point would be best served fighting outside the UFC because even a low level dude in the UFC could potentially derail him at this point in time.
Who even knows if he will actually be ok with being punched in the face (most people are not). Even if he is, he should begin training on the side but WWE provides the most immediate benefits right now. There's really no reason he can't do both if he manages his career correctly but it's best for him to start with WWE, and build his brand, and learn the MMA craft on the side, and then when he goes to the UFC he can be fast-tracked without having to waste time in lower level promotions.
Him and Aaron Donald were made at a factory here in Ohio.
Im from iran , shame for leave and going to fake wwe , gable have good potential
Damn, he’s on the same level as Brock Lesnar?
The only name I recognize on that list because I just started watching wrestling but I’ve been a MMA fan for far longer.
Lesnar was a junior college transfer who won one title barely as a senior. Gable is probably the best heavyweight we've seen in 30+ years and is right there with spencer lee as maybe the best folkstyle wrestler alive
@@stevo3883 idk. I just saw his name on the same list as Brock Lesnar, and since I watch a lot of MMA, that’s what I recognize.
@@yanyanzhang5813 it's funny cause gable is more like a young Michael Jordan but the name u drop is more like Scottie pippen. Gable just beat 2 Olympic champs who had 6 world championships between them, all in his first international event, and he wasn't even scored upon until the final.
@@stevo3883 yeah but Brock Lesnar was a 2 defense heavyweight champion, the most in HW is 3, many people believe Brock would have been a 3 defense champion as well if he wasn’t injured and suffering from diverticulitis. Brock beat some of the greatest martial artists in the world. Randy Couture, Frank Mir, Shane Carwin, and only lost in his prime to Mir who he beat afterwards, and Cain Velasquez, who some still view as the greatest heavyweight of all time.
@@yanyanzhang5813 he was abusing steroids in college and still only won one ncaa title, and barely won it at that
This guy should switch over to MMA, he would do really well there.
Nah.
@@GeoffBournes Actually he could.
@@jesses5463 I know he could . He's an athletic freak of nature I just don't think he SHOULD. the money just ain't right over there.
@@GeoffBournes the money is what you make of it and it's increased greatly over the years. Conor McGregor is worth hundreds of million dollars after a relatively short UFC career. Khabib has made 8 figures for a single fight. Much lower profile fighters than Brock Lesnar are now making what he was making a decade ago when he was the top draw in the sport.
@@jesses5463 yes .all facts but compared to other sports the money is just not equitable all things being equal . I think Conor and khabib made that kind of money because of the additional good business movers they made with the UFC money. They both have other investment s that make them money while they sleep above and beyond what the UFC pays. Js.
