Scream 3 is actually one of my favorite scream movies, and we have to consider that this was suppose to be a trilogy, and Roman did a brilliant job as ghostface, alone, and the sibling angle, was spot on, Roman was the ultimate puppetmaster

Umm excuse me lol? Fake Gale Weathers, aka Jennifer, or Ms. 'Judy Jurgenstern' is an absolute gem, and the best part of this movie 🤣. She is hilarious and was my favorite non main cast member, of Scream 3. Great reaction!! Other than the unwarranted Jennifer slander 🤣
We are all entitled to our opinions... but Parker Posey is a comedic genius. She was at 10 the whole movie! Scream 3 wouldn't be the same without her. She stole every scene was in, and I desperately wish they could find a way to bring her back!

I'm a huge Scream fan and I agree with most that this not exactly in the top ranks of them, but oh my god, Parker Posey made this movie its own little masterpiece, at least in my opinion! Scott Foley second, but without Parker he'd get drowned out too. IDK it's even more silly than the other Scream movies but a kind of silly I can watch over and over again almost entirely because of her.
The fact that they had to change the entire script right before shooting due to the Columbine massacre and this movie still works is pretty commendable, imo. It was supposed to follow the high school/college plot, with Stu as the killer, but they suddenly had to change everything.. I love the Scream franchise and I do think this movie would be the perfect ending to the trilogy, if they didn't make any more later on.. :)
also, roman didn’t kill the mom, billy did. but roman influenced billy and convinced him to do it because his mom was having an affair with billy’s dad.

Scream 3 was rewritten and had a different tone but it’s still a fun watch with a good conclusion in my opinion. I love the Randy cameo and how Dewey and Randy on the tape responded to each other. 😂 Randy’s my favorite character. I also love how in the end Sidney feels free and safe enough to leave the door open. I look forward to your reaction to Scream 4!
zuff is going to have SO much fun with 4 and 6 after saying how brutal the kills in slashers need to be
I wonder if Zuff will be able to randomly guess the killer halfway through 4-6 like he did with 2 and 3.

I don't know why so many people think the voice changer was so unbelievable.. Roman was a music video and movie DIRECTOR IN HOLLYWOOD. He could have easily gotten it from somewhere in the industry OR could have paid some tech genius to make him a personalized voice changer. Then, with collecting the voices to be able to use. Cotton has his own tv show, Gale is a reporter, Dewey worked onset with him, He probably looked into the stuff that Maureen (Rina Reynolds) was in to get hers, and then got Sidneys voice from the first time he called her when he used her mothers voice.
It was one of the smartest play on here. It really made you think.. are you really talking to that person, or is it ghostface masking behind their voices. Like when Roman called Sarah, it was like hiding in plain sight. We didn't know if it actually was him or someone else. He used Sidneys voice to lure Dewey and Gale to the mansion. So he could turn around to use them as bait to lure Sidney to him away from the cops. I knew right away it wasn't actually Sid. The caller, when talking to Dewey the caller mentioned being protected by the LAPD at the end of it the caller had like a little chuckle when talking about the cops. Then the caller cut Dewey off and hung up on him. Sidney would never do that to Dewey.
I mean I don’t think it’s so much unbelievable as it just feels like a cheap cop out plot device. Maybe when the movie came out it felt like a cool, high tech, unexpected surprise lol but watching it back now, it just seems lazy haha
Its very unbelievable. This was in 2000 there was no technology remotly close to be able to do that. We now can do that with AI in the year 2023. Back then even with a tech savy guy its ridiculously unbelievable being able to have a CLEAR computer copy voice of somebody who maybe got it from a tv source when they were still using VHS lol it was just a fun twist to do but it was executed terribly.
In 2000, we still had DVD's and CD's. It wasn't that behind on the times honestly.
@@2010Delcid Also we barely have it now! AI voices are so new and even those you can't use to speak with, I mean, probably soon.. but at 2023 it's still barely believable... However the voice changer is a fun, stupid little plot device for this ridiculous movie that I genuinely like haha.
I am someone that loved the 4th! I wasn't expecting to, but it was absolutely great for the time it was filmed with the motive being so accurate for what was going on in. I hope you end up enjoying it as well when you get to it
I think the first and fourth are the best. I waited a few years before I watched the fourth and was pleasantly surprised. I have a feeling they'll like the cast too.
There isn’t a bad Scream movie, but I’d say 3 is probably the clumsiest. Also, Sid was shot in the stomach and shoulder, not the face like Rob thought. I think Roman is a pretty underrated ghostface tbh. & I’m surprised you guys didn’t like Jennifer’s acting, she was my favorite character from this movie by FAR!
What people didn't know that neve Campbell had a different schedule because she was filming another movie at that time which mean she can film certain parts of scream 3

I believe among real horror fans and fans of camp, these 2 are favored a lot. Especially 4 for being ahead of its time.

I don't think this one is as good as 1 or 2, but I love it! Seeing them on the set of a Stab movie, the actors playing our characters, and the reveal of Ghostface and how it all goes back to her mom, who was the one that started it all.. I feel like for years people hated on this movie but now I feel like it's getting more love, deservedly so.. :D
I always loved that Roman is the only single killer and the true mastermind. Originally it was supposed to be Stu coming back by himself but they changed it. I hope Stu comes back in 7!

Fun fact! Sidney actually stabs Billy (Ulrich) in the first movie. When she stabs the second time with the umbrella she missed his vest and really stabs him. In this Scream (3) she actually stabs Roman as well when she pops up from behind the bar, also missing the padding 😅

I think Scream 3 is probably the most “rewatchable” in the series because it’s so campy/over the top, especially Jennifer’s character lol. I also think in the original script, Angelina was the second killer (and they filmed some scenes) but that was cut. Glad you all will be continuing on with the series although the first three movies are my favs 🎥📼

I love the whole scene between Roman and Sidney. You can really feel that sibling vibe between the arguing back and forth and the fighting. One of the things that I love about Sidney is she doesn't care who you are she's not afraid to talk shit back to them and can be savage lol (except for Randy he did that and got killed for shit talking on Billy with Ms. Loomis). She is mostly the one who doesn't beg for her life and actually fights back with balls (well, Gale and Dewey did a little bit in the 3rd). The ending, though between Roman and Sidney, when they held each other's hand that right there is my all-time favorite moment between a hero/vilian, it felt so bittersweet between them both. Like you can see, she feels for him cause he was rejected by their mother, but at the same time, it's about survival and doing what she has to do to survive. For him it's he always wanted a family but got rejected by his birth mother, and then the jealousy took over. Also, it didn't help with it being his 30th birthday and became a trigger that made him snap and went after Sidney.
- So, the original plan was Roman was just going to be the puppet master staying behind the curtain kind of thing and set it up to where Billy and his accomplice which ended up being Stu to ONLY go after Maureen Prescott. But after they killed her, they got a taste for it and decided to continue on for themselves with Sidney and their peers by continuing to kill a year later and creating the image of Ghostface. Scream 2 was a domino effect from the events that happened in Scream. It was just about revenge for Ms. Loomis and just hired Mickey as her lackey.
Then Scream 3, it's coming into his 30th birthday a reminder of being abandoned by his own mom and directing a movie about Sidneys life. It was like a mental trigger for him. He ended up going after her due to the jealousy of their mom only wanting Sidney and wanting nothing to do with him. Maureen even tried to convince him that his mom, "Rina Reynolds," was dead, so it struck a nerve, and that's exactly what he did.
( Roman : And once I supplied the motivation... all the kid needed was a few pointers. Have a partner to sell out in case he got caught (Stu), find someone to frame (Cotton), it was like he was making a movie.
Sidney : You... this is all because of you.
Roman : I'm a director, Sid, I direct.
Sidney : Ah.
Roman : I had no idea that they were gonna make a film of their own (Billy and Stu creating the image of Ghostface on their own to continue on with their killing). I mean, intoducing Sidney, the victim, Sidney the survivor, SIDNEY THE STAR! )
I love the killers motivation in this one. Some of the humor overpowers the suspense and mystery this franchise is know for, but I still love it. It works for me somehow. And Parker Posey is a national treasure.

Must go through the franchise. I want to see your opinions on 4, 5, 6. Wes Craven was way ahead of his time. He was talking about the Metoo movement before it became a movement. The scene of the producer talking about Hollywood and the auditions was something Wes talked about and was against. That's why his female protagonists are badasses in their own right. The Fourth is his last movie before he passed away, 5th,6th are not his vision, but they do pay homage to him. 6th, by the way, doesn't have Neve Cambell(Sidney) because the studio didn't want to pay her for a quick cameo like the 5th.
While this maybe true, (about MeToo)it's ironic and disgusting that Harvey Weinstein was involved in these movies.
@SubKween Yeah, but in Hollywood in those times was that you needed to play the game in order for your movies to be made. It's easy for us commoners to comment on how we would never agree to something like that until we are actually in that situation. And we all know who Harvey Weinstein is now and what he did, but back then there was alot of hersesay and rumors, speculation, heavy blackmail, and coercion.
The bodyguard was also the voice actor for joe in family guy and was also in a comedy series called rules of engagement

The third is one of my faves actually, I think it’s a fresh unique take. They were really just having fun with this one and trying to make fun of the whole movement going on in the 90s that scary movies cause violence.
I absolutely love this movie. I understand that's it's definitely the silliest, but it had A LOT of studio interference. It was supposed to have Stu return as the head of a Cult and be much darker, and he was even paid for the roll. However, before filming the Columbine shooting happened and they really cracked down on child violence in films. I think you should definitely finish the franchise. Also, regarding the 2 killer theory, it was originally supposed to be Roman AND Angelia, but her roll got leaked to they changed it part way through, so some scenes, like the chase through the sets feel like there are 2 Killers, becasue there was.

I’m definitely in the minority of people who love this movie because I absolutely do 😭😭 but I think y’all will really enjoy Scream 4! It’s something about that movie that has a modern touch than the first three. It’s really fun ❤

In my honest opinion, I liked Roman as Ghostface the most. Why?
Well... number one, he is currently the only one who has ever worked alone and had no partner. He threw everyone off this way and the fact he had a voice changer was cool.
Its crazy how much ass he was kicking and he killed the most people I think.
Number two, he is the one who set all of this into motion. Without him, none of this would had happened and everyone would still be alive. Also while I do not condone his actions at all, he does have every right to feel bitter or resentful. Imagine being born from rape and your own mother decides to get rid of you. Like... he didn't ask to be born. But I think he went about all of this in the wrong way. I think he and Sidney could have really had a good relationship going. It would had been really cool had they not been enemies. Its really sad.
A LOT of people don't care for this one, but I really like it. I thought the Hollywood set was a lot of fun and added some additional history to the lore. There isn't a Scream that I don't like, I think they're all a ton of fun.
My favorite/least favorite part of Scream 3 is that Sidney literally has no fucking clue who Roman is. They never actually share any scenes prior to his dramatic unmasking.

Had they kept the original plot, Scream 3 could’ve been the best one out of all.
Neve Campbell had other film commitments so she was only available for a few weeks which is why Sidney isnt in the movie as much.
"Want to play a game" or "I'd like to play a game" was actually said in Scream first before Saw. Check the record books.

The thing that really cracks me up about this movie, in the scene where the house blows up, apparently all the power is completely shut off... yet the fax is still running and spitting out papers for them to read 😂
Scream 3 is my 2nd favorite. It’s the embodiment of camp and has really talented comedic actors. I think the problem is that people don’t always set that expectation of films-I think by other people telling you in advance it’s the worst of the series, you have a subconscious bias to dislike it before consuming it. I could tell you guys didn’t just by the edit of the film-you cut some of the best comedic moments of this extremely meta film.
This is the one I saw in the movie theater, by myself (I was mad at my boyfriend at the time), and ended up curled up in a ball with my arms around my knees in the seat! That's when I decided no more horror movies by myself!

in my opinion this is the most underrated scream out of all of them and somehow the most hated.. roman is so underrated as a ghostface and my favorite, especially since he did all of it on his own and was the mastermind behind all of it since the beginning. everyone has different motives on why they did it but in my opinion roman's actually makes sense cause he was abandon as a child. jennifer is so hilarious and is one of the favorites in this movie, so im kind of shocked that yall dont find her at least interesting lol but it's okay, everyone has their own opinion.
