1:37:29 Hahaha. The only time I was blessed by the Boognish was when Ween opened for The Flaming Lips in 2006 at a shitty county fair. Such a weird show, and I definitely went to see the Lips, but I've grown to become a much bigger Ween fan over the years.
Chris Weeks lips were the better band when I saw them that fest. But a full/non/fest band there is NOOOOOOOOOOO comparison
would this have been for the state fair in NY? I saw Sonic Youth then Ween open for the flaming lips there around that time. I was definitely there only for ween. the flaming lips show was over the top, rediculous. not to mention the music (ugh)..but there were mad cute girls on stage dressed in Santa Christmas women's uniforms, that was very nice.

@@julianalstin7245 Well they all look great. I just saw em in Nashville on Wednesday. Last time I saw em at Bonaroo years ago, Gener looked and sounded AWFUL. I later found out why, but I was shocked at the time, as I'd never been to a bad Ween show. But he's better now. They were all in top form. Them and the Shit Creek Boys.

Not Gener's finest moment vocally, but the band is spot on and his enthusiasm is there and it's still good and brown.

uhhh no I guess not. Just expressing an opinion though. I mean, Gene broke up the band not too terribly long after this due to drug and alcohol abuse and his vocal performance on this particular night is kind of proof that he was going through some hard times and the drug and alcohol use was catching up to him and affecting his delivery. But like I said the band was spot-on for every song, and Gener's enthusiasm was shining brightly although he was missing a lot of notes and over-doing the nasally weird vocals. I mean, he's still the greatest songwriter to ever live and all so there's still that.

I was at this show when I was 14 and too young and dumb to fully appreciate it. Like, I loved what I knew of Ween but I mostly knew Chocolate and Cheese at the time. I also smoked NYC weed and kinda got way too high
After the show let out we were walking down one of the paths in the park to get out and the Nitrous Mafia had their tanks out, filling up and selling balloons to all the kids. As we approached all I heard was the hissing. My buddy and I had lit cigarettes as we walked down and we were laughing at all the dudes stumbling and falling down after taking hits from their balloons. It was dark except for the odd street light and you'd walk by a dark part and hear giggling coming from the bush. I saw some chump having someone taking his picture as he held his balloon like a football under his arm and posed for the camera. He then started to suck the Nitrous out of it and right as I walked by I touched it with the lit end and it popped in his face. He was scared shitless and startled right as the nitrous began to take effect. He started to wail like a child who just had their toy taken from them and someone took another picture of him. I can still see his face as the flash lit it up. I feel a little bad about it now, but admit that I popped about 10 more before our walk was done. People never knew what had happened and just thought the thing popped. Good times.

I always thought Johnny on the Spot was Ween's tribute to Nine Inch Nails-meets-country-rock, and then I saw an interview with the two of them where one of them said Nine Inch Nails was one of the greatest bands of the 90s. I can't recall if it was sarcastic or not, but it seemed sincere. Either way, I think I'm right.

noochnooch Ha! I just searched old e-mail and found my Ticket Master order. This was definitely the show I was at. Somehow I got it mixed up with another show. Funny how that works, because I could have sworn I saw Ween in Central Park for free with a slight rain, no crowd and a jazz band opening for them, which surprised me. Wow, I can't believe my memory is so scrambled. Watching this video is straightening it out for me, though.

I was at the show is Seattle the next night and we didn't even know if they would show up... Not only did they show up, they put on the best concert I have seen. Ween will be back in concert very soon and I couldn't be more excited.
