Note this is qualified by me as a bootleg recording since the show is free. If anyone is offended in legal terms, please contact me at: makamminga and I will have the video removed. It is not my intention to piss somebody off. Besides there are many recordings at archive.org and www.dead.net/features/tapers-s... so don not blame me for being a hughnormous fan. I sleep with the Grateful Dead -not litteraly -
Besides, the video is not high quality, with hickups, and some time-outs during the recording. Matrix alike drums from Bill and Mickey because the video recording software could not render it fast enough. The audio is great dough, except for the time-outs.

Mayer gets it. What a great player all around. Props to Johnny!
John is just an old soul.. Seeing him with these Dead guy's is just.. Him in his element.
Killing it!!
+quincywho Am glad he's not trying to be Jerry. He's being John Mayer and for that I am thankful.

Setlist not necessary. Its John Mayer he sucks
Mayer absolutely nails Jack Straw.
Mayer's not only a really good player but he's even more importantly a great fit. John and Bob's guitarwork really compliments each other.
The visual presentation at the dead and company concerts is out of this world. Whoever is doing the lights is doing an amazing job. Thank you.
I THINK JERRY WOULD APPROVE ................
+Deeber Dan (gratefuldeaddrummer) I concur.
John Mayer nails Garcia's tone and even can solo like him.
+Alex Padilla ...yeah he actually does stay true to Garcia`s "style"...I like him (Mayer) more for that!
Fantastic version of They Love Each Other! Mayer's voice takes it to a new level.
Beautiful concert, John Mayer totally gets it!
That Brokedown Palace was ....... nothing I come up with does justice. Just amazing. Mayer really did well.
thanks for the uploads, but I cant get over the way you list some of the tunes as grateful dead covers, haha. funny.
Great to hear the comment (Basho) 10 year old listening to and appreciating this!!! renews my faith in the younger generation. Oteil Holy Cow Man, great funk interpretations of this music, got the awesome rhythms, bounce, super melodic flow, funk all going on. GREAT MAN!!!
Wonderful!
I REALLY dig that version of rain and snow
I have watched this everyday this week...that version of they love each other is phenomenal
Bob was laying down some serious funk
Martijn you did great here, thank you for the upload- I was actually at the show that night - yeah no worries on the clearance for the upload, this is great stuff, my friend.
You'd might wanna look for the other 2 versions (setlist one and two) of this date. Those were ripped out of the temp i-net files and are far better.
+Martijn Alexander Kamminga Thank you Martijn, you are awesome sir!
oh man, Oteil driving that thing right down Shakedown St. Thumpy Thumpy!
Thanks for uploading!!
So stoked to see the Portland show at the Moda. Excellent, just excellent!
Bobby was laying down the funk on they love each other. Underrated early show for the band
Loved the interviews during intermission. Saw these guys last year. I like them, but some local Dead cover bands I've seen recently have been incredible. This music is timeless and who is playing it isn't so important to me now that Jerry is gone, as long as they can lay down a sweet groove and all out jam.
One year anniversary!!!!
John Mayer and the Grateful Dead, this is amazing stuff right here. I got to hear John play a couple of Dead songs a few years back, really wish I could see Dead and Co. though.
Friend - you're making my sunday! - Big Fat Thanks for uploading!
thanks dude!
Thank you for a nice treat. This makes me want to purchase a DVD of DEad aNd COMpaNY when it comes out. Though I rented the first shows last summer this is much appreciated. The Gorge and Portland Oregon. Upcoming Summer mini Tour Woot! Woot! I am grateful to be able to access video from the period when I was hitting every west coast show. There is footage of the happiest Jerry I have seen opening a kaiser show with "Big Boy Pete" I imagine even the boys smile when they see that. (-:
Imma smoke nBig Spliffs of Changa up front so as to have the pungent plastic flower fragrance permeating the Stage during space. Hope to see y'all there.
Mayer is outstanding. The songs just live on.
Thanks for the post. Weir looks very engaged which I think has a lot to do with Mayer's talent.....
That was life-changing !
He can hold his own.... Do it up Johnny boy!
John's doing a great job & so is there bass player! I think they've breathed some needed energy back into the band & they sound very good. They get better with time!
keeping the music alive!
Brilliant!
Way to step up, Mr Mayer!
I can't wait to finally see them again in a few weeks. They need to break out "Mr. Charlie" with Mayer singing lead. It would be great!
love the he's gone jam
Hey Now!!
Make America Grateful Again!!!
Holy shit .... yeah!
thanks 2-26.00 STELLA BLUE wonderfull !!!! merci man.
J Mayer did a great job bringing the G Dead Music back in a live setting
I need a miracle to get back on tour after a 25 year hiatus. The music lives on, Jerry would want that!
I must say, I was worried about Mayer, but he rocks!
So cool that Oteil starts playing Jaco's Continuum at 47:20
Shaun Durnin BY Crackey, I think We got it Tanks Long Live Pigpen ,Brent and the Capin .
How the tables have turned! Now Bob gets to be the older man with the gray beard looking over and shaking his head at the antics of the excitable younger band mate.
Someone give that guy a curly beard!
Toni van Velzen he needs a tie-dye and some sandals and a little fur
Got my tickets for June 23rd Nissan Pavilion Bristol Virginia Whats Up! Definitely going to get weir early and cook free quesadillas for all my parking lot homies. Why not? I went to the 11/6/15 show and had a really good time.THANK YOU TO DEAD AND COMPANY FOR DOING A 2016 TOUR! On 11/6 mi buddy went to the hospital blacked out from something someone in the parking lot squirted into his mouth? Sounds weird.. . . . I tried to pray with him before we went to the show on the phone because hes been going through some stuff. He said he wasnt comfortable praying to Jerry? I tried to talk to him and he wouldnt listen. Look what happened to him. . . . . . . . .
On my way out of town at the DC Nov 2014 show I saw so many people doing balloons in downtown china town outside of Verizon center it was stopping traffic! comical. I dont do drugs But i do enjoy seeing people enjoying themselves and carrying on a half century tradition!
i love how you call them grateful dead covers. cmon man they are the grateful dead, the music never stops
john mayer is perfect for them
Man, John Mayer is my favorite musician of all time, but does he ever know when to stop playing???
I Hope He Never Stop Playin´; }
how come this sounds so much better than the fare thee well shows??????
Different band members, John Mayer singing. It's just what you like. I like every Grateful Dead forming band 😉
1:59:00 demon in the machine: love it!
maybe its from YOUR eyes. or maybe its from not being in that concert place. the audience recordings might even be more worthwhile(experienced tapers), as per usual with the dead.
Liking this line up. Kinda "weird" without Phil:) but John is sounding really nice and picking it up swiftly. Excited for Bill Graham Center S.F. The shows are sounding noticeably better with each night. Really like John on Sugaree at Las Vegas. Fuck Yeah! Time to boogie down to lasr beam town========>
Me likey
Again ~ )
andy hass thats what i thought , thanks for t. info. ahhh p.r.s. Santana likes them too. know any other g.dead circle players that use them tks. IKO
2:10:30 Mickey licks the beam
fucking rigjht on,!!!
Why am I having such a time letting go of the "grateful Dead"
Why should you let go? Their music is still one of the most precious things in my life.
let John Mayer sing the Jerry tunes please Bobby!!!!
mayer is not supposed to be JERRY, cant be JERRY. Mayer is not trying to be JERRY but this sound will always rock. I hope Dead and Company has the ability to let todays youth appreciate what i did growing old with the culture, sound and all around good vibe of the Grateful Dead
That Help on the Way Jam!!! Also... Bobby, let John sing the tunes, man. No offense.
Don't tell me this band aint got no heart, you'll find it's quite profound
Is Weir unable to play the counterpoint rythme that makes the tune? Or just choosing not to?
more cowbell.....
anyone know what kind of a guitar that mayer is playing?
+peter betts it looks like a private stock/custom from Paul Reed Smith Guitars.
+peter betts yep PRS
+peter betts The Super Eagle PRS
So, is Bob now the lead guitar, and John the rhythm? Would that make Bob the new Jerry? :3
+Josiah Knoedler Nevermind, after watching further it looks like John is on lead, and there would never be a new Jerry. Jerry loves you man!
+Josiah Knoedler There really isn't a lead or rhythm they both take turns leading and rhyming :P
Andy_ andy haas .
None of these shows can match what I saw the GD do at MSG from 1987-1991. It's still fun, but not as fun as Furthur (no disrespect to John Mayer).
MSG in those years was when I saw the GD too dude! And at the same place mostly, MSG. Some nights were just smokin! I saw them at Giants Stadium and Brendan Byrne arena then too. Great years. Thank you Jerry and all!
way to state the obvious
Kimock was shit too, with the remaining members.
well I agree with you on that statement, but knowing Kimock as well as I do, it just wasn't his thing - too big of a stage for him, platform, never looking to impress and nothing to prove ya know. Whereas Mayer is out to blow people away and destroy myths. Kimock in a way probably preferred playing his music and Zero music. But yah - when I heard Kimock was joining Further stunned with excitement only to be let down just like you
None of what I said was obvious. What are you talking about?
where the hell is Phil Lesh? Is he not in GD 2.0?
Anyone know the attendance at Citifield? Did they sell out?
No. I was able to get floor seats for free after purchasing nose bleed seats
might i ask how?
I've seen a couple of comments to the effect that they were being handed out for free mid-show.
unitedlvisual I got in early and one of the ushers was giving out tickets to floor seats.
looks like im going extra early to all their shows i see
Where's Phil?
great bass player. whos that?
+rhea mangles Oteil Burbridge. He and his brother, Kofi, play a lot with Jimmy Herring/Derek Trucks/Allman Brothers and those guys. He was a founding member of Aquarium Rescue Unit as well. He's been deep in the scene forever.
+Wolvesinsheepsclothing I think this band needs Josh in it. LOL
Please can anyone relate . Bob has taken almost all songs, and slowed them down. Every song. The dance beat was better when a little up tempo was put in.Just seems to me Bob is slowing every song down, much more so with Further, Right??
Yes I noticed the same thing in all of the shows I saw as well
the audio is so fucked ,,, I thought it was just the acid..
splintered sunlight done through orchestra meadow sunflowers of Daisy chains and laughs of Rollin I. the rushes down by the waterside's, your songs give me hope, still in the ripple that is my Casey Jones of trolley bound Cassidy to gatchau I can't spell wired my wired obalisk done futile, could a befriended on Facebook but Kimock k owd knows my friend lol nmb ok nknockin numbers uci cu
I love you Bobby. I was the guy in the frony row 1/1/2004 with the Jerry flavored clothing on . I love you all. Will Meyle; aside
We can Share the Women We can Share the Wine > 48:20
Wow come on John should have sang most of these, Bobby could hardly sing any of these
Wow Mayer will hold off his lame career Forever#
i wonder if mayer got on acid to get in the spirit of things
I probably may get hung for what I'm going to write… But I onestly think that Weir's playing was damn horrible here… And his guitar sound was even worse (same thing happened at the Late Late show when Mayer hosted), ruining the good backing of the rest of the band.
The "Phil Lesh & friend" concerts sounded overall better than this, to me.
I don't care if I don't offend anyone, because you're all hanging on to the past way too long. Bob brings the whole temple down big time. He's too old and toasty to keep up a proper tempo. The rest if the band would have a fighting chance if Bob would hang it up. Love the Grateful Dead forever but this ain't it.
i was born in the wrong era. i hate this era's music. and im only 10
you know music back then was worse the sound quality wasn't as good as today... and you can still listen to all the old music... so
To be fair, you can't see them in their prime, live.
still good music out there just gotta look some where ells other than the main stream.
+Matthew Meadows I hate all radio music like rihana and tayler swift and songs about drugs and big buts.
+Basho understandable, it's good you understand what crap is at such a young age. keep looking for good music it's out there.
Not a fan of the guitarist or bassist or keyboardist. I'd be nice if Weir learned the lyrics to songs he might not ought to be singing to begin with.
+Lindsay Planer What?
+Howard Smith Some people can't be pleased...lol
+Lindsay Planer So want a band with two drummers, one guitar player and no singing, eh? lol
John Mayer is a great musician, he know the notes . But he has no head for the Dead’s sound or Vibe . And has absolutely no business being on stage with them ! These shows are just an embarrassment
you know you got such dark eyes
i was born in the wrong era. i hate this era's music. and im only 10
