Queen were one of the forerunners when it came to music videos.
While the practice of creating some kind of promotional video for a song had been done before, it wasn't until Queen's clip for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in 1975 that saw others take notice that it could be a useful marketing tool.
Just a few years later, MTV was born. In the 1980s, Queen continued to create brilliant music videos to showcase their fantastic singles.
Queen legend Brian May has looked back at some of the band's most famous music videos, exclusively for Smooth Radio for its next episode of Video Rewind.

I love the way Brian can remember everything that happen way back in the 70's. He speaks very well about how he loved
everything about Queen. He so much loved Freddie. "I still love you."

I am so happy that these 4 men got together, and they formed one of the most amazing bands the world had ever seen ! Queen stole the world when they performed at live aid. Thank you for the memories !

It’s sad that Brian wasn’t around when they filmed these are the days of our lives with Freddie, it would have been lovely if they could have been together one last time

@@ssj6jose Brian wasn’t present when the video was made, he was in America doing promo work. It was decided because Freddie was well enough to attend, the video was filmed in his absence, his part was filmed later. Yes on part of the video it appears they are together but you’ll see they are separated & not that close, that’s because it was altered to look like they were all there when in fact they weren’t

Pity it was so Short, i bet Brian could have gone through most of Queen back catalogue as they pretty much all biggest hits.
My favourite Queen video is the one where Freddie dresses like a giant prawn, Brian has a skull guitar, John has a horse's head on his shoulder, and Roger looks like he's 5 seconds away from murdering someone

Fortunate enough to have followed this band's trajectory since Crazy Little thing called Love. Freddie, to me, was like the Fonz in that video. But the I wanna break Free vid! just laugh out loud funny. The little smile Freddie gives to the camera as he appears with the hoover, as if to say 'well, what did you expect' was simply perfect. These were the Days of our Lives: I think every fan felt this song the same way. We could see his frailty but the voice and all his mannerisms were still there. Including the little roll of the fingers as he exited the screen. Very moving, even today...
