Hallo Dr, I am an applied geology student from university Malaya (Malaysia) I have some questions. I don't understand the language spoken in the video but I would love for you to answer them in English. How many strike lines are advised to draw, 2 for each bed? You have 10 strike lines drawn on the map, yet you have computed only 4 on the profile, why so? shouldn't we draw the hinge line for bed A? Bed rock A doesn't fallow the V patter (most of it) what does it mean? How do we compute the dip on the profile, I see you have drawn couple of dots beneath the dip direction and connected them, but how did you know where to put the dots? Through calculation? Regarding the vertical thickness, do we read it from the profile or from the map?
Thank you for quarry.....This video made for Geography students. You may use a different method for drawing any kind of map. 1. Only 2 strike line is sufficient for each bedding line, I was just showing them how and where the dip has been changed that is why I prepare a couple of strike lines. The given map is a folded structure, so dip can change any time . 2. You may use a hinged line , I follow the vertical thickness method. The structure of the map is overturned fold (U may use any method). 3. couple of dot use for vertical thickness ( u may put it any point through the upper/ lower bedding line) 4. Vertical thickness easy to calculate from map.............Last thing is I used HINDI language for our students all the things are describe in hindi languge ......No. of videos uploaded in my channel ....problem is it is in Hindi language..

Can I skip some strike lines for easy drawing
This map is very complex. So you follow the video.
