It hurts to know that kids only see "heat/fire" as Yeezys and Off Whites. Hopefully this will put things into perspective. much much respect for shining light on the roots.

I look at the sneaker culture as another way for people to come together. It’s freedom of expression. It’s truly fascinating when you look at a sneaker and you’re amazed at the fact that you’ll be cozy as shit, or thinking of what outfit you’ll rock with your kicks. Wear what you like, regardless of the opinion.
My first pair of notable kicks was a pair of Black suede Pumas with the light gray Puma sign....no fat laces...then my older sister told me I had to rockem with fat laces in every color Le Tigre I had to match. 1979!! JERSEY STAND UP!
