This figure has so many problems that could have been fixed easily that ruin the figure a lot, the fenders could have stayed on the legs, the windshield could have come down more to work as heels and the arms could have just turned so the hands could move and the elbows could move farther
The one thing i wish they added was a option to move the wheels to replicate the hovering mode each character has in vehicle mode when not moving in the games
The fact that in this economy figures are getting bigger instead of shrinking is already a miracle in itself. Maybe this is just a lemon in the wave. A figure that got the short end of the stick. Looking forward for the rest of this gamer edition figures.
Agreed. It deffinetly is a plus there getting larger along with getting greater detail worj. But someone on the design team put to much effort into getting the alt mode perfect, and let it hamper the robot mode. I have a feeling the person(s) who worked on it had no clue how to design it without it being a shell former. Especially with that much debilitating kibble. Makes you wonder if they pulled someone from the simpler lines and ended up with this when they couldn't cut it.
One of the coolest vehicle modes I've seen lately. It's very in character for Barricade as it seems like it'd be great for ramming others or running other vehicles off the road.
Tbh, I was worried that this mold has no knee articulation, because it looked a bit like one big piece of plastic😅. Also, about the gamere toys series as a whole, even if they capture a lot of details from the Cybertron games...for some reasons, I just don't like this set of toys. Maybe it's because some of their parts feel a bit hollow, and because Bumblebee and Optimus' vehicle mode fronts kind of jutt out of their chest to the point where it's kind of distracting, unlike the game designs of their robot modes. Still, thank you for another video yet again, Baltmatrix. Keep up the good work!😁
That's a shame that he has issues. Still planning on getting him though. With the possible exception of Bumblebee since I already have the original 2010 figure, I'm getting every Gamer Edition figure they do.
I think this subline have a lower budget because Hasbro didn't trust in good sales. If the sales are good probably the next figures are gonna have more budget and be better
No I'd say the vudget got consumed in trying to get a deluxe figure to have a altmode as big as the voyager prime, have thicker plastic, and still reduce to a deluxe size robot that had to resemble the game modle. With that much kibble it feels more like it came from the old classics line in 2006
i said on an insta post about this barricade was that it doesnt look that good from how the feet look and how its too kibbly and man just like u said; that hands lol didnt like it and i got flamed in the comments of that post and im glad to hear someone also think the same way
I've gotten him to pull off some decent poses, albeit a few, but as much as I love the character and the figure... he does have a lot of design flaw in his build
Hiring a Designer that doesn't look like he gets asked for ID when they go to a Bar might be a good start for better products, and actually admitting that at least some of the Takara designers have blind spots that lead to poor consumer experiences. People should be saying "I'll buy the Chinese version as the quality will be better" but that is exactly what happened with the Raiden Combiner the Takara one is a very compromised design. It also suffers from the "curse of excessive accuracy" which often leads to dreadful toys too. which is why Gamer Edition Voyager Prime is one ugly thing and the original it 10 time better looking. In simpler terms maybe they need more budget, maybe they need more time or maybe they just need to stop making so much crap aimed at grand parents who don't know any better and sell more of the base figures instead. I can't help but think a good reason why we have so many bad toys in the mainline is because the "kid lines" exist in the 1st place. why should The Earthspark toys be bad quality (most of the time) and when they are not then that makes you wonder why the Legacy figures cost so much more when they is not obvious difference in quality. The last thing Hasbro wants to be doing is harming their core brands when Star Wars & Marvel and Power Ranger could individually or collectively die on them with very little notices & they already seem pretty apathetic about Gi Joe to such a degree they stopped making 3.75" figures entirely.
Really dude? Fantastic?... That thing is a statuesque kibblefest apocalypse in robot mode! ... The car mode is great though, and I like your leg kibble management solution as well!
More like putting out a better figure than wasting resources to fix that much. Heck they gave us a vetter wheely with the grimlock upgrade that even put the later core class to shame. Its unfortunate when one of the more premium lines known for better details and acuracy fails this badly to the level of the G.I.Joe crossover level😢
You were too nice 🙂 I feel like if they don't have the budget to make the figure as they can and should, shift it to another wave and take the leftover money that was going to be used on a figure like this, and apply it to others in the wave for more paint or accessories.
This might sound crazy but the way he looks when u mention he looks like a coffin, that right there seems easily remold-able into that wierd floating version of megs from beast mahcines
I’m just sat wondering if anyone is gonna customise this figure into a version of The Punisher, especially since it pretty much already has the The Punisher symbol on its chest
I've said this on EmGo's review of this figure...It looks great but in terms of functionality, it could have used another pass around the design table. Thank the Matrix for 3rd party fixes though.
It’s quite annoying that there are clear places that could have articulation or fold away but it doesn’t. I imagine it’s like you said, it wasn’t Optimus or Bee so Barricade got hit with the budget cuts for this wave. Truly unfortunate, his Cybertronian Batmobile mode slaps and would slap harder with more paint. Probably a 4ish/10 for me, disappointing after Prime did so much right.
Great video, but the whole transformation sequence is pointless because the figure comes packaged in robot mode. If I've gotten it into vehicle mode, I probably don't need to be showed how to transform it at all. Showing how to transform it step-by-step is only helpful from the mode it's packaged in.
Bruh why u say bad word in tite why u guys hate this toy for me is good and best in the same time u have problem with thats why u all u guys a modern haters
The Gamer Edition plastic seems to be a major step up from what we've been getting for a LONG time.
This figure has so many problems that could have been fixed easily that ruin the figure a lot, the fenders could have stayed on the legs, the windshield could have come down more to work as heels and the arms could have just turned so the hands could move and the elbows could move farther
You can just not rotate the wheels on the legs. I just fixed your problem
@@wyattfields5580reue
*True
Seeing these make me appreciate High moons designs even more
I don't need a reminder
I thought designers figured out all of these guys need heel spurs after Thrilling 30 Skids...
The one thing i wish they added was a option to move the wheels to replicate the hovering mode each character has in vehicle mode when not moving in the games
If a figure has trouble standing that's a dealbreaker for me.
"And we're fresh out of ankle pivots to march our way through."
I love your honesty and positivity ..everyone making this out to be the worst thing since (insert blank)
We told them we don't want those clip on tires!
They suck, and they've always sucked. Those pins snap off if you look at them wrong.
The figures I’m trying to get is Scourge from ROTB,The Ark from Kingdom,The upcoming Nemesis ship from Legacy
Im glad the figures are getting bigger, deluxe figures were way too small over the years, i hope hasbro continue this .
I liked your 'I'm not bothering remembering names' size comparison.
Love you for being you, Balt! (14:57)

Can comment that the Optimus prime is way better in person than the initial promo pics. Genuinely a great voyager
They increased the prices by £10-25 and they got cut in half over the years, they better get bigger again
One of the coolest vehicle modes I've seen lately. It's very in character for Barricade as it seems like it'd be great for ramming others or running other vehicles off the road.
This really does remind me of the time when the toys 'felt' good during tf animated era.

Budgetary constraints, but very little price increase restraint🤮
That's a shame that he has issues. Still planning on getting him though. With the possible exception of Bumblebee since I already have the original 2010 figure, I'm getting every Gamer Edition figure they do.
Love the figure in both modes
The Morebot from rescue bots.
So can anyone else see this toy being customized into a Batmobile or is it just me
Oh boy
3:50 and there's barricade. End video.
The alt mode reminds me of Battle Force 5
I think this subline have a lower budget because Hasbro didn't trust in good sales.

I'll probably keep him in car mode and attempt to forget about the robot mode
I've gotten him to pull off some decent poses, albeit a few, but as much as I love the character and the figure... he does have a lot of design flaw in his build
You described Barricade's robot mode as "lovely"....😒

his size is a bit off i think, i replayed WFC a while ago, and he is suppose to be shorter, i remember he was like around brawl's armpit
true, except Brawl was as tall as Megatron, so still accurate
I like the car, but the transformation seems iffy. Enough so that, I'll likely skip this for now just in case they release a Breakdown remold.
Really dude? Fantastic?... That thing is a statuesque kibblefest apocalypse in robot mode!
... The car mode is great though, and I like your leg kibble management solution as well!
its clear that they nailed the vehicle mode, the robot mode is the casualty here
Hey balt can you mod this toy and make it better
Shame about the possibility, it’s such an awesome looking figure. Will likely still pick one up anyway.
I knew the car mode looked like a Batmobile!!!!
Hasbro needs to make a transformers Batman crossover Batmobile using this studio series gamer edition War for Cybertron barricade mold.
I need it NOW!
I do like the ss gamer series alt modes as for for the bots modes meh
Such a neat design. The color scheme reminds me of Nightbird.
Who knows maybe this could be retooled into Cyberverse nightbird
I foresee an upcoming DNA Designs kit that replaces 75% of the figure.

@@ZedMazaus480 It was a joke. Granted, one that was kinda spurred on by that add-on Wheelie that more or less did what I said.
Shame they cut corners on this one. Looks great but the robot mode wasn’t executed well.
My local walmart is still stuck on legacy wave 1 ive seen the same one arcee on the rackfor like a year now
You were too nice 🙂 I feel like if they don't have the budget to make the figure as they can and should, shift it to another wave and take the leftover money that was going to be used on a figure like this, and apply it to others in the wave for more paint or accessories.

I recently gotten Dead end and Crankcase.
I agree
Bring the cat back in your next review!
wow his entire torso is like a thinned out decepticon insignia
I’m just sat wondering if anyone is gonna customise this figure into a version of The Punisher, especially since it pretty much already has the The Punisher symbol on its chest
Issues or not im excited for mine
1:08 This gun is called the Neutron Assault Weapon.
i got the figure for the mad max batmobile
It’s the only High Noon Barricade. That makes it worth getting.
I've said this on EmGo's review of this figure...It looks great but in terms of functionality, it could have used another pass around the design table. Thank the Matrix for 3rd party fixes though.
I mean, some figures were clearly made to be played with and no posed/displayed, and vice versa
I mean kibble is quite understandable as the car mode literally appears out of nowhere
In game
0:03 It is bad luck not to say the full name every time.
The Gun is just a standard Assault Riffle
Doesn't this transformation remind you on RID2015 warrior class bumblebee

Tempted to mod this and turn it into a Batmobile

❤ shoutout to jmav David 😅
baltmatrix does not mean crimes loosely......he wants hasbro prosecuted for crimes lololol.
The face reminds me of a gobot face lol
Bruh why u say bad word in tite why u guys hate this toy for me is good and best in the same time u have problem with thats why u all u guys a modern haters
He looks like megaton
It's authentically a disaster forperformance, but astheticallyits beautiful
these figures look like dollar store. nah thats too nice, they look like bad knock off toys.
Prequel Transformers
I like this figure's looks... but oof. They ducked up so much its embarrassing.
Doesn’t look that bad imo. Needs some extra paint & points of articulation. And with the video title, what doesn’t p1s$ people off these days?
The figure looks bad. I really don’t know how car formers are bad anymore. It’s one of the most common alt modes. Really no excuse
Bad Cop
I'm absolutely torn on this figure. He looks gorgeous in both modes, but the articulation is just terrible.
