I also have my base at Blackfell Lake. Great spot for acid and deep water for purification..
Just want to add an improvement for your Purification building- don't daisy chain your turrets cuz if one gets taken out (impossible due to it being on deep water) but just incase, 1 gets taken out then all or the rest of the turrets gets taken out. have a elec combiner somewhere safe and connect all turrets to that then power switch.

could start off on how to build and place in water.... im in waist high water and it will only place on the shoreline and not in the water and im on a river...

If you hold ALT and use your scroll wheel, you can adjust the height of the foundation.
