Combine is 40 years old. Looks great! I like the Gleaners. Got a K2 that looks just like it only smaller.
I'm partial to the Gleaner myself, simple and effective machines, can't ask more than that 😆
Nice machine!
Thankyou!
Great video great combine...
Thankyou!
Its Alive!! I miss these kind of adventures with my brothers, thanks for the ride, Tim.
Your welcome Gary thanks for watching, and the comment, I didn't even think about this but these will be the days I'll look back on 20 years from now for sure. Thank-you for that.
Hey Tim just ran across your channel yesterday. I like it. I also run the old orange machines and gleaner combines. Can’t beat the classics. Keep the good videos coming.
Thankyou for checking my channel out. I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I sure do my best to keep good videos coming. I know I'll have videos coming at least 😆.
Man what a nice job in getting combine going after 15 years. Nice it got a new home and cant wait to see it working. Have a great weekend.
Thankyou sir the same goes to you and yours my friend. I'm excited we got it going for him and it runs so good, every thing else is easy on these old gleaners, the engine isn't hard to overhaul either just time consuming and were getting to close to harvest for that. Thanks for always watching and commenting!
I'll bet that was a fun ride home with the back tires bouncing off the road! Seeing it go down the road reminded me of my uncle Tim's old 7720 deere, I was following Grandpa down the road, him in the combine me in his truck (I think I was 12 or 13, he said not to tell Grandma or my mom) anyway the left drive tire on the combine was wobbling quite a bit. I said something about it to Grandpa when we got to the field. He said that someone had told Tim about it, he had torn the drive axle all apart looking for something wrong and couldn't find anything. Finally figured out that the center in the rim on that side was welded in the rim crooked, so it made that tire wobble really bad. Sure looked freaky. Glad your brother found a good runner! Thanks for the video TIm, hope you have a good one
Thankyou for sharing that Evan! 😆 don't tell grandma that had me laughing pretty good... I remember hearing that multiple times too growing up, but it was my old man telling me not to mention it to mom 😆 🤣 😂
I just did the same thing on a JD7700 that had been sitting 15+ years. Got it running got it home and now the story is belts, bushings, and bearings repair while the soybeans are beginning to turn colors.
Yes the cross are starting to turn here too. I'm getting antsy, I'm trying to finish up the project I'm working on now to get the combine out and ready, I just need to repack a couple of bearings that I recently found out don't get greases properly, I run a 1977 Gleaner M2, so I'm happy that all I have to do this year is regular maintenance, I've been through the whole machine the past few years and I think I've got all the questionable parts replaced (finally). I even put a new clutch shaft in it lost year, I think you'd be hard pressed to find another M2 in as good of shape as mine. And that definitely makes me smile 😆
That’s a big. Beast. Tim especially driving Down the road
It is definitely a big combine really is too big for his operation but we've both got plans to get more land
@@TimothyFluegel well it will take a big area. To. Farm. Lol

Man yeah Tim!! That's freaking awesome!! That is a nice ole combine for sure!! I do t think there is anything out there you guys can't fix if it has AC on it 😉😉 Loves the commentary while he was rolling down the road 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Looking fwd to seei g this one work!! He keeping it, or flipping it? Thank you Tim!!
Yes sir, that's because if it's orange it's cheap, easy, and worth fixing 😆 🤣 😂. All jokes aside though I've got a John deer 3010 LP coming into the shop, I might be going to pick it up today, if it ever stops raining. so you'll get to see me venture out into other brands finally 😆. This one he's definitely keeping, he bought that F3 last year to upgrade from his CII of you remember the video of him picking soybeans last year, and the cloud of dust in the cab with him.... well he found out he's allergic to soy he broke out into a rash that covered his whole body last fall. I felt so bad for him as I'm in the field next to him in my pressurized cab 😆 I felt like my 45 year old combine was a Cadillac 😆 🤣 😂 but long story short, now he's selling the F3. Thanks for watching Nelson!!!
@@TimothyFluegel Man yeah, more shop work on new colors!! 🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁 Oh no, I bet that was a bad experience for him!! I remember that video!! That's freaking awesome he can upgrade!! Looking fwd to seeing more of all this! 😁😁😁👍👍👍👍
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar it's just a matter of time until I have a red one in 😆 thankyou Nelson!

Nice find on theL2!
Thank you Sean. I think it'll be a good machine for him.
My grandfather had an L2 on his farm, even had rear wheel assist.
Rear wheel assist would be pretty neat, we don't farm any wet land so we don't need it on our farm but I've done some pretty sloppy custom work with my M2 that I wished I had it lol
Sounds real good
Nice!
Thank you!
Bob the Gleaner whisperer!
😆 🤣 😂 that's priceless Clint. 🤣
Nice! My JD combine sat in a shed for 15 years before I bought it. BTW, does raccoon poop have the same nutrient value as chicken poop?
😆 🤣 😂 I'm not sure about that but I bet it's still good for some nutrients lol
Could be our old machine if it has a Cole's sticker on it.
I'll have to look around and see if I find one. Lol
Nice find! Hope it goes well and we’ll see some vids this fall putting it through its paces.
The tractor in the shop, is it FWA?
Is it your latest acquisition?
I think it'll be a good combine for him. You guys will definitely get to see it at work this year. The tractor in the shed is a fwa 6080 dad had one when I was growing up and always wanted one, they aren't cheap and hard to find a mechanics special life this one so I had to jump on it. The engine is mostly back together with all new parts, I'm waiting for a new cam to come in the mail, should have it running by the end of the week if all goes as planned.
301 or 426? Looks like a decent L2. L2,L3,M2&M3 are my favorite Combines. They were a pleasure to run and work on. Thanks for sharing.
It's a 426, I've only been around the gleaners and dad's TR70 new Holland a a kid, and I know it's a night and day difference as far as working on them 😆 the gleaner is so simple I love it, on the other hand the tr70 would take 3 people all day to change a drive belt 😆 🤣 😂 thanks for watching and commenting
@@TimothyFluegel we started out with a JD45 and went to a 7700. Finally we bought a M2 Gleaner with a 315 head. It was like driving a Cadillac and easy to work on. We got out of farming in the early 2000’s, I miss it every year.
This may seem like an odd request but can you show some of the inside of the grain tank? Specifically where the ladder handrail bolts to the bin?
I sure can I'll make a short video and post it today for you, Keep an eye out this evening for it.
Sweet...Bob should know that there's not an AC that the Fluegel Brothers can't get running
Thank you Robert! That's just what I was thinking..... what did he mean (maybe it'll run) 🤦♂️😅
Where is this? Real farming country.
North Central Illinois in the heart of the corn belt.
Tier -1
Im trying to find a Barn Find F2/F3. Nice shape!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My brother has an f3 hydro he's selling, it picked corn last year, depending on where your at you might be interested I think he's not asking enough for it but he wants to cut his losses and move on with this L2.
@@TimothyFluegel i looked at it last week, not exactly what im looking for, but what he has there could be a decent machine. Im looking for something cherry
DID I STUDDER?!?! Lol
😆 🤣 😂
Hey sir i was wondering if that combine or your M had the black allis motors? Im trying to figure out where a block heater would go on my 83 L3
It's a screw in style. If you look at the oil cooler and follow the tube that runs into the block. Right at the elbow there should be aplug to pull out and screw the block heater in.
@@TimothyFluegel THANKS SIR!!! SURE AM GLAD TO HAVE YOUR HELP!!
@@farmer_4850 your welcome. Anytime.
