Basic shoes wont work, you should have good quality trekking shoes.

This trek was done in which month ?? I mean in november end can we have snow in sumit area
You will not get snow in November month, but will get clear weather and good visibility recommended for photographer, you will get snow between mid of Dec to Mid of Mar, for detail information please click on the given link.

It's a winter trek, December to first week of March are the best time for Brahmatal trek.
Can We go there on 25th Dec....or is it mandatory to hire a Guide or Can we do it at our own....and What's the arrangements to stay. Is that a kind of trekking that we can complete within day and come back in same day
Yes you can go there on 25th Dec.
If you are an experienced trekker then you can go there solo or with your friends without guide, you should know that from where to get forest and trekking permission, where to camp and what are the possible hazards. Second easy option is to go with a professional trekking company.
In base camp you will stay in a guest house and rest of all days will be in tents.
It's a 6 days trek, cannot be done in one day.

Go to Base camp of Brahmatal trek, there is a forest office, you have to take permission from there and please dont forget to carry cash because they deal only in cash.
