Nobody can suddenly become prosperous financially. Although they did the background work, we mostly see the ultimate product. Fear is a harmful factor that prevents us from making the courageous decisions we need to make in order to achieve our goals. You have to deal with things like inflation, the recession, Fed policies, and more. In just a few months, I was able to add $289k to my portfolio.
I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
@Brilliantrans I have no advisor whatsoever, and this recent decline, which I believe was brought on by inflation brought on by war, among many other causes, really hurt my portfolio. Who would you advise that I reach out to in situations like this?
@Brilliantrans Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.
This is one of the coolest channels I’ve ever come across! I wish each ep was 3 hours long. It’s so hard to find positive content these days with people having productive and fun discussions.
1 thing in 1 thing out is a solid rule to live by when you have a growing family. Especially important when you donate the 1 thing out to someone who will enjoy it.
Sam - I live right by Westport, CT. Great area, right distance from the city, on or water adjacent, and a short trip away from hiking or other outdoor activities.
25:08 It may sound unbelievable, but in the rural parts of India, a unique tradition persists even today. When women comb their hair, they carefully collect and store the fallen strands. The aim is to gather roughly about 100-200 grams of hair. In the past (during 90s), these stored hair bundles were used for bartering various household items. Salesmen would pay visits to these rural households to collect the meticulously saved hair, which would then be exchanged for different products. This practice still continues today, although the modality has shifted slightly with time. Instead of the barter system, this collected hair now serves as a source of income for these women. Hair traders pay around $8-9 (I think) for every 100 grams of hair, providing a surprising but practical revenue stream in these communities.
On micro hustling, I like to call it adding pizzazz to the experience. Most people don't care about taking that extra step, but those that do always get closer to realizing their full potential
Can you all do a deep dive on Mormon owned or Mormon bred businesses? They are motivated, they are organized, they have community, and they seem to have integrity.
yep. i have a bunch of stuff i havent even worn yet.. covid made me rethink how much stuff i buy. I think we should buy WHEN we need it and do it even if its not on sale. Donate things away before you totally wear it out. I clean my entire desk of everything before important meetings and keep a white desk so i can see it... free of anything
as a very successful server/bartender in previous years, having 1 person make the decision is effective, but nothing can touch the "ROI" of presenting the table a dessert tray. I helped start at a few restaurants over the years, and nothing beats a "live" display of desserts, dare i say, its a gaurantee, haha. Presentation is Crucial in Biz. Perception becomes.....Reality. There are various other tactics, but by far the dessert tray was best for converting. One might even say the D.Tray Sold Itself!! (ha, couldnt resist it, ha) 🍰🥧🍧
Why not award each table with 1 free desert, issued to the winner of a trivia question or something along those lines conducted by the server, or the chef who comes out of the kitchen to greet each table. Now, I ask you, what happens when just 1 free dessert is brought to the table? They can begin to salivate.
Dude , Shaan , if i have an occasion i can dress, (2019 i attended a tech conference and ppl though i was a lecturer..lol) but very often im busy and get to looking like a human grizzly, maybe when i have more biz meetings more often. Avoiding the barber time a while now by having my own trimmer.
Dont buy stuff for your kids that keeps them indoors. Buy stuff that gives them lots of reasons to be outside. Eg. Make a food producing garden for them to look after, put in a sandpit, trampoline and also invite friends over very often plus when you are considerimg gifts go for the sporting activity toy every time and make it so the child can share the sport with the parent. Eg if you buy a snorkal for the child then buy one more at the same time for dad.
Hi Sam! I grew up in Westport, CT. Feel free to connect if you need neighborhood recommendations for your move! - Long time listener of the pod and one of your 4 female listeners
@samparr - which lights + microphone do you carry to record the podcast? *please* let us know! Quality of the video is amazing and I'm amazed all the equipment is mobile.
Hey!!! I AM one of you 4 women listeners, andi am hooked! I wish more women listen to this. You all need to nring in more topics that entice women...like one iwtj Codie Sanchez
P.S. 10k for a Ferrari tire? 😂 mate it's a Ferrari, not a Bugatti. It will not be much more than the equivalent Pirelli or Michelin tire for a mid-priced SUV.
You guys laughing uncontrollably the whole episode makes it so hard to focus on the content. We are not here for comedy, but rather for insight.. let's focus on that please.
Micro-hustles section may have been the greatest segment this show has ever produced

This is the fastest pod around. There’s something about the pacing and style that flies by. I can’t get enough. Great episode, guys.
As a dad of a 1 year old, the 9 minutes closer to freedom thing actually made me LOL. Thanks for that
