the 19" thin crash is awesome! wow! its my favorite here
agree with Julian.....thin sounds nice and bright
I am a proud owner of a MASSIVE collection of pAisTe.
Currently own 16 Thin, 17 Medium, 18 Thin Formula 602 crashes. Next week I'm get 15 Heavy Hats & 20 Medium Ride.
They sound Amazing and I LOVE the Vintage Hollow Logo. 🤘
That ride sounds great- paiste cymbals were my first love- 20 years ago. The only cymbals i play!
The only thing that’s made consider other brands is finding out about things like sabian artisan and zildjian Constantinople. Paiste just sounds good. As long as it isn’t their cheaper cymbals, they are going to sound perfect.
@@MisterRorschach90 Sabian are the best out of the big 4 from my experience, truly great cymbals.
The HHX Complex line as well as the Artisans are the best cymbals I ever heard.
Paiste is way better for rock and hard rock. I find sabian and zildjian better suited for funk and other genres
Jeff Porcaro of Toto uses both 2002 & 602 my dream cymbals! 🙂❤ Love it!
what jeff use for hihat? 2002 or 602?
Jared is one of the best drum teachers anywhere!
The ride and the 19" crash sound great.
When I had to choose between the 602's 22" Medium Ride and the 2002's 22" Ride it was a hard choice, but the 2002 won.
But talking about crashes, 602s and Giant Beats will always be my favourite!
Those are some of the best cymbals I've ever heard!!! Love the original 602's
I love Paiste Cymbals ❤️
Paiste cymbals awesome sounding the 2002s and the signatures are my favorite line of cymbals and there better for projection then the other brands today because the other brands make very thin cymbals which the cymbal chokes. Paiste Rules!!!!!!
Tuve un Paiste Fórmula 602 ride 22" de 1975. Los primeros que llegaron a Chile. Que belleza de sonido, limpio, cristalino y prolongado. Daba gusto golpearlo con 2 macetas.
The first decent set of cymbals I got was Formula 602's back in 1979. Just loved em especially the 18" thin crash.
Great to see them back.
18medium and 19thin are so close :O
Watched this video upon release on drumeo. I had pre-ordered a set of 602 Heavy Top/Bottom 15's and gotta say..these are pretty close to what I recall from the early 70's. They're crisp, clear cutting, and feel real nice on the stick. Might add a set of 14" Sound edges next for a lighter chick and swish..bit either way Paiste nailed it on this re-launch.
Omg they all sound amazing . BTW you know how to hit a cymbal properly . Great teacher aswell thank you
Loved that groove
Nice Assortment of 602 crashes. They cut through. The 2002 Sound Edge Hi-Hats sound awesome, as always. Not so impressed with the ride. That snare drum sounds great! Great Video for a new product!
I've got to say, I've been obsessed with Paiste's heavier stuff lately. They don't work with everything, but they're perfect for loud music. I own the Rude 16" crash/ride and it's the loudest cymbal I have.
Cool!!!
There's nothing to be said about Paistes. They're simply the best. Endorsements aside, with all due respect, you should try Aquarian drum heads, you'll be blown away.
Hats are the best
I like the medium crash, medium ride, and hi hats best.
What is the editing software you guys use? I own a studio and use 3 - UAD Apollo 8p's, but need to do some multi shot camera footage as well for artists. I've tried researching, but can land on anything specific for the software to record and edit multiple camera footage. Please let me know. Thanks, Michael
Great sounding Cymbals! You should mount the 18" Medium on a different stand than your 8" Tom for that studio kind of purpose. There is a crosstalk in the mic of the Tom (especially in the lower frequencies).
The bass sounds like a battleship from the 1600s, but its perfect.
The 602's are a different animal. The typical for Paiste is B8 bronze(PST line, 900, 2002, Giant Beat, 2002 Big Beat etc), although their Signature line is B15, but the 602's are B20 like most Zildjian and Sabian are. Excellent cymbals, but if you're looking for that high end sustaining glassy shimmer that Paiste is famous for, it won't be as evident in the 602 line. If you're looking for 602-ish sounds and don't have the money for Paiste, check out the Meinl Pure Alloy cymbals
well said & spot on! Meinl Pure Alloy series my second choice after Paiste cymbals! Thank you!
How would you rate the following in order of 1-5 with 1 being first choice, etc…. Paiste PST7, Paiste 602’s, 900 series medium, 900 heavy and finally Sabian AAX XPlosion.
i play the dark energy series but there's something about the formula 602 and 602 MEs that i like.
What are his drumheads?
Is that a drum inside the bass drum?!
I don’t know if it’s true but I think these types of cymbals were used in toto’s rosanna
Jeff Porcaro for sure did use Paiste, and 602's, but I'm not sure if the 602's were used on "Rosanna", but it would have either been them, or 2002's.
I own a 22” paiste sound Creation flat dark ride symbol .. might be interested in selling if the price is right…
Great cymbals but my favourite and go to weapon of choice is STILL the Twenty (pre-split) line before Paiste split them into the Master and Custom 😳
I just got the Paiste Formula 602 ME in and I can’t believe I spent almost $3000 from a store that only excepts returns twice a year. I hate these cymbals! I bought the 18’, 19” crash and 20” ride with the 14” matching hats 18” China , and the 8” & 10” splash. They sound a whole hell of a lot better on CZcams when they’re mic’d! OMG I’m just sick over this. They don’t cut through the music, you have to hit them HARD to get them to play at decent volumes. I just don’t understand this? I have a Zildjian K sweet box set that’s comparable in size, and oh man they sound SOOO MUCH BETTER!!! And at less than half the price! If you’re going to buy these them you really need to mic and mix them!
😎 👍 🍰
I own a few old Blue Letter 602s and a few modern reissues 602
To my ear, the New 602s are Much Better.
Zildjian seems to get more respect on the street. Yet some of the best drummers in Rock history played Paiste. Im not sure if it's a marketing issue or what, but Paiste should have more prestige!
To be fair had Zildjian kept the deal with Ludwig going in the early 70's a lot of theses drummers would be known for playing Zildjians.
I would love them also if I got everything for free
Zildjian players tend to hate PAisTE, which makes me embrace them all that much more.
I really really really wish Paiste had nothing to do with this guy - he’s not worthy of that! Drumming world is full of crap like this so lame.
Why?
it's about exposure and Drumeo is pretty big, why wouldn't he be worthy?
Paiste = pay-stee. Not pie-stee... unless, you're a Brit. Just saying. lol
These Paiste Formula 602's sound amazing. My least favorite would be the 18" heavy.. and the 13" bell. I once, owned an old 602 13" heavy crash.. and it was loud and cutting.. but, the overtones were a bit much unless, in a heavy rock setting. Also, owned a vintage Formula 602 17" paper-thin crash. Sounded great.
No ... the actual correct pronunciation of the name is: pie-stee
Nope. It's pie-stee.
@@margovallen So if you've owned Pie-stee, how come you don't know the correct pronunciation?
Just Curious.... Mistakes happen.
Most drummers called Neil "pert" for Decades.
It's pie stee
