The most impressive part about this whole thing is how they managed to stay so long in that car just not making any sound, a feat only possible in the absence of Tommy
there were multiple cuts so i'me guessing it wasn't an entirely silent moment, but i'm still impressed at how long they managed to stay silent, the way charlie looked at the camera at one point gives me the impression that he is trying his best not to crack a joke that makes everyone else laugh

The car drive is a mileestone in cinematography... The scenery, the acting, everything is the complete peak of the whole sequence.
