Thanks for the review. I can see where the shake twice for a flashlight might come in handy. When it bumbles out of my hand I'm gonna hope it lights up for easier locating.
I have used a few Android mobiles over the years, but then I switched to iPhone about ten years ago, and I must say, I think iPhone is much better than Android. I keep an extra mobile as a back up (Moto g Pure). It only has a few minutes per month on it, but your tips help me to get a bit more out of the Moto g Pure than I would have otherwise gotten, so thank you very much!
I particularly like the "fast torch" function you pointed out. It can come in very handy at night whilst trying to fit a key into a door lock, and I like the face down trigger do not disturb. That is also a very fast and handy thing to be able to do. :)

Before you start watching this presentation, or any other informational video where you need to pay attention, remember that you do have a pause button and ten second rewind. The rewind is made by tapping the screen quickly to the left of the on-screen controls, and the pause button is usually in the middle of the screen, alternating between the pause and play buttons.
How can you make the font darker so that it's more readable? The words appear so washed out until I can't read anything

I have this phone and it's a good one. I normally prefer Samsungs, but this one was more affordable. Motorolla is a really good phone. This was a great video and it was very very helpful! Some things I didn't think to turn on. I changed a couple things and now the phone will be more comfortable for me to use. I too like the IOS method rather than the gesture. I hated the gesture. I didn't know it was on this phone. Thank you for the information!

Something I thought you could help with...When you pull the apps up you can drag them to the home screen. But if you make a folder, it wont let you drag it. How can I, if I can, make my own home screen folders and or name them?
On the home screen, drag one icon on top of the other. A folder is automatically created. Then tap on the folder to open it and tap on "Edit Name". (I hope this works for you, I have a tracfone android 11 moto g pure.)
Thanks I have too many loud notifications all day . I keep trying to silence them. This weather app can be uninstalled. It has wrong city or state too. I still need help and more space. What's a good sd card ?

Finger print or face recognition security. Multiple fingerprints can be saved so maximum ease to Access the phone. Flip for DND another very useful feature I use at work...
I've had the phone since April 2022 my husband bought his Feb 2022. I liked his so much I decided to get one. The larger screen size than my old phone and the price of moto g pure is what caught my attention. I keep discovering features and tricks no other phone I've had does. I'm strictly an android user. Never had an iphone.. I prefer to stay with free platforms.. you get pretty much the same use and less expensive price tag than iPhone.. thank you Motorola for the moto G pure!!! Awesome device!. Automatic screen record feature is nice but disappointed that doesn't record the sound.

I'm a 62yo old lady and yes the picture of me is current. You go so fast my old eyes can't keep up. My sound and vibration in settings has notification volume grayed out and I can't swipe it to the right to turn it up. Is there some way to activate this?

I bought the Moto G Pure as a Straight Talk branded phone. I find the screen relatively insensitive to touch as compared to my other Motos (e5, Play, Power). Also have noticed it doesn't automatically acknowledge a mouse attached to it via USB like my LG phones do. If anything I would like to make the touch more sensitive.

Turn "Color Inversion" off? (in Accessibility). Turn off Dark Theme in Display? Good luck!
Great info. Thank you. I love the shake auto flashlight. Great safety feature. Great phone. I had one few years back. Went to Samsung & went to upgrade. Samsung now does NOT come with cord adaptor or sim card. You buy it & can't even charge it Out of the box wtf. So I came back to Motto. Glad I did. If your not into gaming or all that fancy crap. I highly recommend this phone. 5stars

I was able to figure out just about everything you shared here but thanks because I did realize a couple things I didn't realize before. I passed over these things but didn't actually notice them. 1 of those things being the "no labels' underneath the apps; the other; swiping the notification window down using the scanner on the back. Cool. But I'm trying to figure out how to remove that news ad that pops up on the lock screen. It's actually a window that pops up on the screen before the actual lock screen where I unlock the phone. I have to press and hold the screen to get rid of that news ad, then, that's where I can unlock and open the phone. If you or anyone here knows about this and figured that out let me know.
There is a setting I believe it's in your notifications where you can shut off the news screen all together and get rid of it. I was able to make one screen my background picture my favorite photo and the swipe to the left screen instead of the news I got most of my used buttons instead. News is gone. You can turn it off and notifications.

Hello I just bought one around Christmas. My first time with a Motorola. And it does the job it is basic n I'm a basic person so it works for me lol. Question for anyone reading??? I brought the phone in the bathroom to listen to CZcams while I shower. I put the phone in a deep towel cabinet with it cracked So I can hear the music n keep the phone safe from water. But the phone turns off like 2 min in shower I'm assuming cuz of the steam ??? No clue,?!? previous to this I was given a used very used lol Samsung 8s and never had this problem never had to put in cabinet or even afraid it would turn off cuz of the heat. Im curious to see if the motor g is gonna turn off on the hot humid beach this summer 😭. Women needs her phone for all types of weather 😊 💯 thanks for reading
Make sure the screen timeout setting is turned up to a higher number.
Play music player or go for screen off sound apps
It does turn off after about a minute even if you're only using pandora. It senses whether you're holding your phone or not so phone movement has to do with the sound turning off in my Moto g, I do not think it's because of the steam. I think it is because the phone is not being held or moved. Please anyone else have an answer to this let me know as well.

How do I setup my Voice Call Meet for certain people in my contacts?
It’s so difficult to close the apps I can’t swipe it correctly. I just switched to 3 button navigation. The swipe thing was driving me loco.
I still can't figure how to close out Facebook and the other apps. Also if I respond to a post there is no way of closing that post and going to a new one.

How do you disable press and hold to unlock screen?
Android 12 on my moto g play must have done away with changing the navigation button order. I can only turn it on or off, cannot change the order of the buttons. Took me awhile to get use to it as my old phone with Android 9 had the button order reversed which could be changed in settings.
