When you tell your wife you’re building a shed but it’s really a cabana bar…GENIUS! 😂
Why What's your wife going to do if you say you're building bar?

@@ryanslats6764 you must not be married.
That bar is going to make a lot of folks happy!
Love the multifunctional apect of this build! Pull your grill by the side door, bring in a small fridge(does it have electric? I can't remember), make a portable sink like for camping and you have a total party zone!!!
electric is easy as a long extension cord until they run power to the back yard. then they can add a small panel.
This is such a cool idea that I think I will add this to my list of projects for my backyard transformation!
I love you working projects. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas from Tennessee. 🌲
Life is Good 👍 Make the best of it by building DIY projects like this.
Matt totally should have gone "AGH!!!" when you put that first screw in while he was holding the strip of wood. 😂
Jeff you are the coolest dude I feel like we’re buddies every time I watch your videos. Cheers my friend
WOOOOOOOO!! Time for some drinks 🍺
Let me tell you something. Cheers Birdman!
Could you please show a close up demonstrating the putting the screw in at the top of the hole is that like very very top or just kind of mostly towards the top?
Great day to build a shed or a bar (which is more likely the outcome) out in the back today! Cheers, brother!
Cheers one of my favorite all time shows. I live an hour and a half away from Boston and love going to cheers. Try the Norm Burger challenge if you finish the whole plate and a beer in 15 minutes you’ll get your name on there wall of fame. Great place to visit
Thanks for the tip!
I’d love to see a video on how you build that old school wood supports for the awning and the chiseled block stop
I built a bar on a balcony at my old house in San Diego. We called it The Barcony and it was a very interesting venue for the soggy debauchery that happened there.
Hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving; From my family to yours.
Thanks so much! Happy thanksgiving. Cheers!
I like your channel. I like your personality. Cute shed.
Thank you so much!
Brilliant!!!
Cheers!
I luv watching at 3/4 speed... no keg required!
Nice job, but I would had been tempted to add a 3rd hinge in the middle of the panel.
Nice weather. No snow!
You got that right!
Hi Jeff. Loved the video - I always learn something new. Question - When you made the adjustment with the screws to level the counter didn't you say the counter would now not lock when it was down? That made me think if it's not locked - wouldn't that put counter at risk of flipping up to close if "bartender" leaned or pull on it from the inside? In my mind - I could see myself inside and maybe leaning down to get something under the bar and grabbing that edge- when getting up - the bar flips up to close and everybody's drink flies in the air. Yikes!!! Just wondering -how do you prevent that if the 2 brackets don't lock the counter in place? I hope my question makes sense. Thanks
Perfect every time .lol
Freaking awesome!!!
Cheers! Now that's a shed!
Jeff is always funny, this never changed.
Cheers!
steel wool..wow..never heard of that for finishing a top coat.....cool....
Well the secret is out. Jeff has 3 hands. I saw it!! ( 3 min 3 )
Yes, he’s very handy!
Cool
Cut the top. Put hinges finish cutting done.
Jeff - you need to use three - but make the end two non-locking. You push the middle lever and it locks/unlocks.
no worries. I went back with a great idea to make it super strong. didn't want a bar in the middle of my bar. Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY are you saying you changed it from a live counter top?
Is there a video that shows how you made the arms to hold the hatch open ?
I'm going to be cutting out an interior wall between living and dining rooms and installing a bar with a live edge. I cut down a red and white oak and will mill it soon. It will be similar to this in build except no hinges. Which wood would you use inside? Thanks for another cool video.
White oak fairs better outdoors.
Came across your channel the other day, love your stuff ! Where oh where would we find those very neat bracket hinges in Canada ? They are KooL ! 🙂
amazon search shelf bracket . Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY Thanks very much for taking the time to reply ! much appreciated !! awesome !
For anyone reading - that link also has other lengths for much cheaper pricing. The 8 inch length is $22.94 for a pair of 2.
Making a bar in your shed today takes everything you've got...
Cheers. LOL
i had that same issue with that bracket.. when its fully opened its actually not 90 degrees its about 91ish.. i ended it up add shims to adjust bracket to make 90 degrees
I had the same problem and wasn't as smart as you. Thanks for the solution!
When I used some of these I noticed that too but then realized its because I was nowhere near the weight limit mine were rated for (board the tiniest fraction of the total rating). it appears they are designed to be under load and have a slight flex/strain relief. If I put some weight on them it actually leveled out, and adding lots more weight it didnt move any further kind of confirming my thought. They are also a bit finicky to get installed just right but once you nail it its great!
Nice build!
I get why you did it, but the bar brackets were upside down. The releases, I think, are supposed to be on the top. I was looking at those very brackets on a build of mine but went with a permanent solution instead.
You’re gonna, “ come back in and screw it up…”? @04:07
Din’t U already doo dat?
Don’t worry, I saw the word live in your video title and it took me five minutes to figure out this wasn’t a live video…!?!😂
LOL, somebody already at the bar tonight. Cheers!
Ted Danson would approve!
I think they call this "Heath Robinson" or "Jiggery Pokery" but, if its a bar you're building that serves (possibly free) beer - who cares?
Wheredou getthose special hinges?
I've been watching this channel for some years, with much gratitude. I am, however, also concerned because Jeff seems often out of breath in these latest videos. I hope he is looking after his health!!
I am feeling great. It is hard however to be working in the sun on a hot day and still trying to move like I was 30. Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY Terrific friend! Don't move to Australia, 30C is pretty typical here!
As a person who knocks over a lot of tables...I could see me standing up and the bar not being in that locked position and disaster happening
Hey @Home RenoVision DIY
I am trying to polish/refinish/wax hardwood floors.
How can I reach you? I am willing to pay for your advisory services
Thanks in advance
Harsha.

When your wife doesn't let you go to a basketball game because she knows you'll come home drunk
(Guy builds a "shed")
Id do the underside bartop screws by hand, too chicken
Noooorrrrrmmmm
How"s the world treating you Norm,......Like a baby treats a diaper. Cheers!
hey what's happening Norm?
it's a dog eat dog world & i'm wearing milkbone underwear.
I guess there’s no need to guess whether he’s your son or not😂
I am hopeful that you don't actually screw it up when you go inside... LOL
Hmm you installed the hinges the wrong way. Long side should be out
I was thinking about that the whole time till I saw how much underside he was working with, had to use the short side. But they would have operated way better in their designed orientation. But you have to work with that you got!
Wouldn't Marine Shelac be better in that type of use (& the abuse that drunk folks tend to extend to surfaces)?
Oil based finishes are just fine for my friends, but you be you! Cheers!
Alcohol dissolves shellac though so maybe not the best for a bar top. (See Jeff, I finally figured it out!)
nice!
What the? THAT'S YOUR Place? It seemed like you were moving further and further AWAY from people, not suburbia.
Doing a shed for a family friend!
ah. of course!
Let me learn from you I will work for free
Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today

@Mark Tomythanks for her info I'll get to her right away
"Were using this" as a finish. What is it? Tell us! Or show the can so we can see it. Come on.

Bar means you drink too much
You can serve tea or ice cream.
