- What up bottom enders!! It has been quite some time since I've uploaded a video, but in one of my last posts I promised to review the Mayones Cali 4 mini bass, but it was harder to get my hands on one so it took a little longer than I thought. Once I finally found one, it was for sale in Japan and it took forever to get here. Once it did arrive I was super happy with it. Rock on my bottom enders!!!`

Thank you for stopping by! Definitely worth it as a very cool practice bass! There are many other basses out there I was thinking about before choosing the Mayones. There are the Mihado Finbybasses which are significantly cheaper and available in different styles and colors on Reverb as well as Ebay, but don't pack much of a punch visually so I went with the Mayones. I am a novice to bass guitars, but I can use headphones with this AND a regular amp? Also is there a headphone that you would suggest for this? Btw, you think a vox amp plug could work in order to then use headphones with it if the headphone amp dies? I appreciate the video btw! :)
Hi, thank you for stopping by. Any headphones work fine, The ones I’m using in the video are “Audio Technica” the headphone input is independent from the bass input so yes, you can plug into an amp and headphones independently. If for some reason the headphone input jack becomes non operative, a vox amp will work perfectly as a sub. 🤘

Hey bass brother! Thank you for stopping by! I bought mine via EBay shipped from Japan to New Jersey. I paid an extra $199.00 to have it expressed shipped in 7 business days. The price of the bass was $2200 USD + shipping. Altogether $2500 USD. The mayones.com site is good, but they tend to be slow on production and may increase your wait time. There is also Reverb.com. I would definitely take the EBay route if possible.

Tons of background noise in your video, sounds like you are using the camera's built-in microphone with the gain set to auto.
Lol, yeah I’m currently packing up to move and am def using the built in camera microphone. I’ll post a cover song with the bass as soon as I’m situated. Moving to another state has been quite taxing. Happy Holiday’s!!!
