I feel like KnowMe is becoming what Vogue used to be - edgy and unique, lots of detail, not afraid to be complex. But with a younger, kind of street vibe as well. I really like the way the brand is developing. Even if it's not my style, I can appreciate it, and I love seeing people's interpretations of the patterns. Your fabric ideas were great. And the movie snack vest totally needs to be a thing! 😅

Donny Q’s jacket looks like a good one to wear on an airplane to basically carry another suitcase’s amount of clothing in your pockets.

Been there, done that with an overweight suitcase! Because it was a summer holiday, everything was lightweight so I ended up wearing six layers or something daft on the plane ride home because I wasn’t leaving anything behind 😂

I think those overalls with a structured bib and a flowy bottom would be so fun!

I think this is their best release ever. I love the pink jumpsuit and the trench coat.

I love your commentary; it feel like chatting with a knowledgeable friend. The KnowMe brand excites me because it is usually relatable but creative. I love, love, love the overalls and Donnie’s jacket. ❤

This is the best KNOW ME collection yet, and the first time I see some patterns I would like to try. :) I like the pink shirt dress and the JohnnyQ jacket/vest. The 'palazzo pant' overalls are cool. Gwen's dress, yes.

It is a very nice group of Know Me. All of them would be fun to make. Love the heavy sport jacket. My son would enjoy that one. Thank you Lindsey.

ME2068 is so creative. Immediately thought it would also make a great jacket.

As per usual, Know Me is so dam fun to look at. It's a small collection but cool af. I like the vision of Sins of Many, but he needs guidance from a senior designer or pattern drafter in order to eliminate the newbie wonkiness in his complicated designs. That button down shift dress with all the pockets & back pleat is giving me Rachel Comey vibes, so I have no choice but to get it. That jumpsuit is really cute, the overalls (make the bib narrower), the Dolly Parton Dress, the men's layered vest & crop jacket are ALL going home with me. Probably some others - oh yes - the trench coat! I was hard on these guys when they first came out but kudos to them for stepping up their game. Maybe it was Know Me's business plan to start out with a ton of designs and then hone their future collections on what sold the best. Maybe we're getting their refined vision now and not watching them go under. It's weird there's no MimiG or Morris designs; I thought this was her company. They're both good designers; I think Morris helped inspire Mimi to become a better designer - I wonder what's going on.

Mimi G has 2 early spring patterns & Norris has 1 under the Simplicity label. Maybe the Know Me label is strictly for the newer, less experienced designers?

I always make my pockets on my overalls larger to hold my cell phone - probably not flattering, but convenient, especially if just staying home!

Great review. I love the shirt dress. I think sequins would be so fun for the contrast on the dungarees ✨

I really love the trench coat but so disappointed that it doesn't go up past a size 18. It seems they're going backwards with the size inclusivity.

Maybe the larger sizes weren't selling? I can't imagine that they would stop producing patterns if they are profitable... But who knows.

Should the title read "2024" instead of "2023"? Thanks for making these videos!

@insidethehem I'm not trying to be smart or nasty (but maybe a little OCD)...is there anyway you can change the title to spring '2024'? If I'm looking for current fashion info it would be helpful to have the correct year. Thank you for all the time you spend doing these reviews.

I didn't see Erica Bunkers' new Know Me pattern. I think it's Know Me 2065.

So size 6 is NOT a petite size. It is a smaller size, at the smaller end of the size range, but not a petite size. Way back when, Big Four used to have patterns in Misses Petite along with Misses but those are no more. As a petite women, even size 6 can be problematic, requiring multiple fit adjustments. Yes, I would consider the girls’ trenchcoat pattern because the measurements would work, although the lapel design being so wide, it would overwhelm me. Again, adjustments required. Honestly, Big Five seems to be emphasizing size inclusivity on the larger end, and losing me to indie pattern choices because of indies” wider size ranges including small sizes.

Yes, the wrinkles on the man’s pants point to an area we’re just not going to talk about. It’s not like we use darts to allow more room down there!

Do these guys actually draft their own patterns, they would design them then the company drafts it and they would make their sample so there would still be a discrepancy between intended ease and what they make, same as if we made it. These patterns have the company's standard body measurements and they draft from that
