+TheBeastBassett bf4 was broken game on launch.it has been stable like year now.
Considering that the Alpha Ceph is gone and Prophet is separated from his suit, the only logical step to take would be a prequel, or a game from the perspective of a different soldier during the events of the 2nd or 3rd game.
this was the best crysis in the series hands down
+Cody Kooyenga true. The story is just so awesome, and long. And the part where you're helping the marines evac the civies from New York is one of the most intense experiences I ever had in a videogame. You could actually feel that the Ceph were indeed exterminating mankind relentlessly.

Locked Emotionz yeah, before the Ceph appear, but the pacing of the game was lame, compared to the second, even when it is on rails. Crysis Warhead in terms of storytelling completely shat on Crysis, and Crysis 2 shat on both of them.

No, it's is criminaly underrated. Great use of epicness, much more stylish graphics, pretty entertaning gameplay if you try to mix all your opportunities and even pretty decent plot for an humanity-saving game.

Seriously this game on PC is one of the best games I've played. It's just fun, you can approach levels from different angles each time giving massive re-playability.
Try the sequel. You'll love it.

Crysis 3 was somewhat of a train wreck. But Crysis 2 was among the best games of 2011 (or was it 2012?). Anyways, Crysis 2 was dumbed down only in aspect of sandbox world. Graphics, story, weapons, vehicles. Crysis 2 had all. I felt sorry for Crysis 3. I was really hyped up for it. But it shat on my expectations. But Crysis 2 wasn't the flop some people expected it to be.
It was easily the worst of the series but I’d still give it a 7/10
I loved this game. One of the best FPS I have played on the PS3, even though it had some frame rate issues and bugs. The multiplayer was great also, even if finding a game takes a while and that it's difficult at start. The nanosuit is a great addition to the multiplayer aspect. Great single player as well.
lol 2017 and still one of the best FPS series.. Good old solid singleplayer campaigns.
So many memories with Crysis 2 , loved playing it on the Xbox 360 👏👏👏 loved the menu theme from Hans Zimmer, used to sit and listen to it for so long 🎶

Been playing the Remastered Version and it still holds up incredibly well.
love the story, love the graphics, love the multiplayer, love the superpowers, love the crosshairs (favoutite bit :D), love the gameplay and most of all i love crysis 2 :-)

Of all the suit abilities in this game that are Worth upgrading the Whole node over are the ones assigned to the X(x-box) button: "Armor Enhance" "Nano Recharge" and "Deflection". The ones you really DO"NT need are "Proximity alarm", "Cloak Tracker","Air Friction", "Air Stomp" "Covert Ops and "Tracker" Now makes about half of the abilities near useless.And those floor lamps have no bulbs,the shade itself is luminous; got to get me one of those :)
I see that framrate is a minus, thank god for PC ;)

What difficulty were you on? If you don't stealth kill, it takes 3-4 hits to kill for me when I played on supersoldier.

That being said..was this game made for multiplayer or is there a lengthy story in this game?
i had to play crysis 2 4 times to get it. i played it 4 times because it was so good. Story wise, especially if you look at the entire trilogy and the comics, it is interesting and great. It will be actually fun to just read the stories because they have actual depth and originality behind it.
Great game. Surprisingly intelligent and interesting story, fantastic visuals, amazing sound design and fun, fluid gameplay. 9/10.
I think this game needs a 8.5. The only reason you suffered bad frame rates on this game is because you played the console version. Assuming you have the right tech its fine on PC. And it seems like nobody mentioned the boring ending (a boss battle was non existent and the last gameplay section was just button mashing) or the fact that the AI and physics could be really crappy at some times.
Exactly. There are so many scripts going on with bots that they can glitch sometimes leading it to a Michiel Jeckson moonwalking or just acting weirdly.

Should I wait for the release of Crysis 3 or should I play this before I jump onto the next, same goes for Crysis should I play it before I play 2? Also how is the free roam? I've heard this one is more linear than its predecessor and I also heard Crysis 3 will be a little more open also.
I was like that as well at first, i finished the first mission and then after that i was bored with it. Then about 2 weeks later i decided to continue playing it and i had a ton of fun with the rest of the missions. For me, the game just got better and better the further i got in it.

There's no point in making a remaster.. the game honestly looks better than most games that have come out recently. I have my PC connected to my TV and every single visitor comments on how realistic this game looks, thing is that they don't realize that it was released 7 years ago.

On the Xbox 360 the frame rate can be awful at times.
EonfusionHD I have it on Xbox and no frame rate issues from mine.
EonfusionHD Not nearly as bad as crysis 3 on ps3. The frame rate averages 23 fps. It's the least enjoyable game i've played.

On Pc it was still active about 500-1000 or more players a day! SADLY GAMESPY GOT SHUT DOWN AND STUPID CRYTEK DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO SOMEHOW GET THE MULTIPLAYER BACK FOR C2! WTF?!?!?!?!?
rdejano3 That's easy to answer, Crytek uses the Crysis series as a way to show off there engines so other companies will buy the right to use them. So effectively the Crysis series is just a very extravagant sales pitch for Crytek's software. So because they have Crysis 3 to show there engine Crysis 2 was no longer needed.

Not at all. I went back and played the original after playing the other two on PC, and was hugely unimpressed. Repetitive combat scenarios, a lack of varied enemies, and pretty uninteresting weapons in both innovation and feel. I understand the appeal, but the latter two are definitely better.
emlmm88 yep, huge mechanical improvement from 1 to 2. The suit is stronger with more options, there's a real story, and the environment is way more detailed and destructive. 1 was great when it came out, but looking back it doesn't hold up to current shooters, as the enemies have 1 template face and movement, same with aliens, and it's just go from point a to b with a lot of leafs in yer way, no detail in that open world. 3 shit the bed, made it arcadey with enemy rooms and set pieces.
rampagesgrill84 And not to mention that it actually functions properly on 64 bit operating systems without artifacting or (like in my case) only taking advantage of a fifth of my GPU resulting in FPS dips below 40 which really shouldn't happen on a 780 ti. Just saying - it is a little bit sad when Crysis 3 runs better than the original Crysis with it's shitty antialiasing.

Will Liang not really, i play on R7 370 with 8GB Ram and i5 and 1280x1024 and on Ultra can't run on 60 FPS, pretty limited, decent framerate but not the best.... Even at lauch had problems and the game uses cry-engine, one of the best engines among Frostbite!!

I agree. It just didn't feel the same. The story was so different, as well as the aliens. I prefer the island and the jungles of Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

Okay so I've just completed the single player campaign, this is in no way at ALL a 9.0, it is a 6.5 or a 7 at a push. A meh game that can be missed, in short.

Unfortunately I don't have the money right now to buy games, so I can choose from the ones I got in the Humble Bundle which are Dead Space 1 and 3, Crysis 2, Medal of Honor and Battlefield 3 (these are only the shooters). I played Dead Space, but it gave me absence seizures because of all the flashes :( I love Bioshock, but I've never dared to try it, just watched it like a movie as my boyfriend played :D I think I'm just gonna try all of them and see how it goes!

How can you put framerate on that list? Played smoothly on my 360, and if it's stuttering on your PC it's probably on your end, trying to play a game it can't handle. And for a game with so much detail, how can you not expect that it might slow here and there? If they had made the framerate constant by lowering the texture detail, IGN would probably have said that the textures weren't pretty enough.
Even on an Xbox one the frame rate dips into the mid 20s during firefights..

Just got this yesterday and its a fun game. Playing on super soldier. My complaint though is the enemy A.I. Sometimes I find enemies running into walls. Found a ceph running in a circle lol. Plus sometimes enemies act as if their partner didn't just get killed :/

I need some advice! I'm new to FPS games - I've never really liked this genre because my reaction time is bad, so I'm not good at it, but I don't want like half of my Humble Bundle to go to waste. Was frame rate even mentioned in the review?
The only faults in the aliens was how the stalkers would sometimes run in circles. Otherwise, they were terrifying to fight, especially the turret walker things and the tank ones.

humble bundle is amazing.. sims 3, crysis 2, dead space 1+3, battlefield 3, c&c red alert 3, mirrors edge, medal of honor, and some sims 3 add-ons all for 4.86.. freaking amazing! and I bet they will add 1 or 2 more games before this is done like deep silver did
Honestly it's kind of amazing what they've been able to squeeze out of this generations consoles that are almost 7 years old.
