- This is another #Northgard build order for the #Lionclan to help you #rush in #1v1. Could also work in #2v2 with another rush clan.
Pretty map dependent. Some very good map could bring me up to 12 troops, but the minimum is 8.

Try the Rat Clan with Negotiation build, rushing the lore and only producting krowns, buying the rest when needed.

In 4.20 how did you upgrade your dock? You needed 100wood but you had 50. It was red for the wood but you were still able to upgrade it.
The second lore you take allows you a free dock upgrade
Hey, simple question, what to do if i have 2:2:1 wolves on surrounding tiles and no ruins or ship? Warriors cost too much i guess
No ruins and no sheeps on surrounding tiles is just a nightmare. If you have none of this, your game will be much harder. What you need to do is convert 2 warriors and only clear the tiles you want to buy in the first year. It's not so much a problem to have surrounding wolves as you can easily heal you subjects. You'll clear with your warchief after or wait for you mate to clear you.
But without ruins or sheeps, you will have to go for a tavern main tile that you'll upgrade that on adjacent tiles instead of improving the food tile with krown. It's a bit harder as the wood will be a problem but to compensate, you'll have to put a bit more people in wood production at the end of first year.
Aim for the food building upgrade first, it is better than the 8 liveability.
But clearly, your first year will be hard and you will lose at least 2 or 3 month on the build.

Any tips for the Lion against the Dragon? My buddy just got into them and he's been steamrolling my friend group lol
You mean as lion ?
Lion, in my opinion has 2 counters: Dragon or Lion itself. Even early clans like eagle can be easily taken out by adapting for a more early build. A good Dragon can beat a good lion. BUT i think that maybe a good response as lion could be to go for the Archers, not sure it would be the best but i would try that. Also if you're lion, attack as early as possible. The more you wait, the harder it will be to kill dragon clan.
Great video. How much are Lion's Champions impacted by the winter? If you don't have enough faith to get 8 troops plus winter coats, is it best to wait till after winter, or best to go attacking without winter coats?
Depends on the opponent and timing. If it's early in the game, your opponent will probably not have the coat either so you can go. Then, depends on the opponent. You don't want to attack a bear in winter. Attacking a wolf or an eagle would also not be a good idea as they would have fur coat and you the distance debuff.
I recommend waiting summer for them.

@@DunkForbes Yes of course it makes a difference. You will probably end up with around more wounded. So that can also be one of the decisive factor. If there's a lot of hard neutrals between you and the enemy, wait summer.
What did they change about Lion? Is this build still viable?
Yes for now, the build is still viable. But expect a balance pretty soon. I'll make another video if it needs a change

Only works on easy. Single wolf among all the zones around your townhall? lol. More like 4 in each of 2 tiles and 1 free-of-creeps adjacent tile on extreme.
it's a 1 year old build, it obvioulsy does not work as well anymore

Hey, can you do an update on this in the new patch? I'm having a very hard time with the increased Faith costs to get that initial warband going.
This clan is a nogo in this patch version. No way to be competitive with the current state of the clan. I've tried some builds, but can't make anything working
What exactly is lion lacking now, in your opinion?
@@HarlanDrake Theynerfed military damage by almost 30% and increased price by 50% AND reduce the faith income...
By the time you want to convert a large army, like 15/18 troops, you're almost winning on lore. So the numbers aren't right.
Lion troops are ok now i think and not too op. They just need to reduce the prices

I think their army is in a good spot strength-wise, Hauberk Champions are basically worse Dragonkin that you can recruit in greater number. I do think the Paladins should get a buyable buff like the other three troops, one similar to monster slayer lore because Dragon seems unwinnable as Lion assuming equal skill. Splash damage Archers are too squishy and Fantassins don't do enough damage.
