    Extremely helpful. Rob was so knowledgeable on the chat line, he provided me with everything I needed to be prepared for this install.

    Great video, but I have 4 wires coming into the new variable speed motor--Black, Green, Red and Blue. The prior motor was a dual speed Hayward. Which one doesn't get connected, or is there something else I must do?

      I suggest using a multimeter to identify the individual line voltages. I could assume which line has which voltage, but we all know what happens when you assume.
      Variable-speed motors use a simple circuit. VS motors that use 230 volts have a 3-wire setup, two hot wires (black & red, or black & black) with a ground wire (green.)

    Great video! Is it necessary to lube the 2 parts of the new shaft seal prior to reinstalling?

      The new shaft seals should not be lubricated with silicone or teflon like the other seals in the pump. You can use a water based lubricant or water to help the shaft seal pieces slide into place.

    Great video. Would this fit a Hayward SP2303VSP 1.65 TH housing? If so, do I have to change the impeller as well? Thanks

      You could install the square flanged ECM16SQU on the SP2303VSP.

      @@Inyopoolsthis might be a dumb question. Is the reason I can’t use that motor because of the HP or the shaft? It’s square flange. Thanks for your responses

    Can this be hooked to automation like aqua logic? Then utilized by the aqua logic remote?

    • @Inyopools
      @Inyopools  Před 4 lety +1

      It can be hooked up to an Aqua Logic but the Aqua Logic would only have the ability to turn it on/off. Speed changes would be done at the motor. There is an adapter kit if you want to control speeds but each speed would use up an aux input. The adapter kit is 2517501-001 www.inyopools.com/Products/00201352083353.htm

    So are you guys still in business, or have you all gone on vacation? I need a motor, and your web site touts a 3 day delivery guarantee, but you don't answer your phones OR your email, and your web page chat system is likewise dead in the water. It's hard to throw money your way in an online order when I can't even confirm that you're still in business AT ALL!?!?!?!?

      Apparently nobody's paying attention back there. Fine - I'll take my fist full of dollars elsewhere. (What are a few Benjamins among friends, anyway?)

      Sorry for the delayed response. Due to these unusual circumstances, we were overwhelmed in the heart of the season. We were all working remotely and we weren't able to bring in seasonal hires that are usually required. We will be better prepared in the future. Have a great day!
