  • Here you see why the R27ER is still the best Missile at BVR at the moment.
    ignore
    I can launch at pretty much twice the range, and itll hit him early enough cuz of the R27ERs superiour speed and range, giving me more than enough time to simply defend any Fox 3 AMRAAM going my way. Good Night F16C. R27ER still dominating Top Tier BVR in War Thunder Realistic.

    Wow, amazing performance didnt expect to see the r27 still do well but my god that is just insane! What will happen when the r27 with active radar homing gets added probably gonna have to add the 120C along with it cause my god that was phenomenal.
    (Granted im not sure what kind of defending the other guy did but im guessing it wasnt much)

      Oh yea, i think in the future BVR will just start to get really fun! ^^ On actual huge distances. And for the F16C, he tried to drain my missiles speed to dodge it and chaffed probably, but the radar mode also ignores chaff to some extend if im not wrong, which is pretty helpful

    This is why you still most of the time, win BVR in War Thunder Top Tier with the R27ER.. R27ER is over 2 Mach faster and has a further effective launch range than the AMRAAM and the other Fox 3´s. Hitting the enemy early enough, bringing you a kill and giving you more than enough time to defeat any incoming Fox 3 Radar Missiles. This is an average BVR engagement by the way

      😂😂😂 yea its a give and take, they should see the amraam users ego, while its no Match on BVR. Thats why i try to start a conversation there, a bit of fun, and we see it works

    @vihurah9554 Před 8 dny

    Not really? The amraam jas similar performance at range. The only mistake the 16 made was he didnt break lock and go cold immediately, but youd still have to defend his 120

    • @DrakenDXD
      @DrakenDXD  Před 8 dny +1

      well, since i can launch on around 45km, and with its quick speed, itll be more than halfway there, while they cant really launch amraams at over 25-30km , and with the ERs superiour power and speed, going almost 3 machs faster at times, it will reach him early enough, either giving me a kill or he will be able to defend it. But regardless of that, i will have enough time to defend his AMRAAM if he even launches on me

    Bro u were so salty in the chat for absolutely no reason lmao. Just give em a break, not everybody gets a hypersonic 35G radar missile with Data Link and Inertial Guidance.
    Also no, the amraam is better in 90% of situations

    • @DrakenDXD
      @DrakenDXD  Před 8 dny

      It aint, only on short ranges, cuz it pulls better. Aim 120 is losing more speed when turning, has less range, is overall more than 2 machs slower, thats why it cant keep up in bvr. And in the chat i was just tryna have a conversation, thats nothing for war thunder lol Edit: And yes, not everyone gets it, just every nation in the game, including america with 35Gs, and active radar homing lol. But yea its simply just not enough speed against he ER on BVR

      @@DrakenDXD So, that amraam went active on you over ten seconds before your missile hit that guy. Assuming that guy was the person who was shooting at you, then he could have taken those ten seconds to actually notch your missile rather than just turn right for a second and then turn left back into your missile, the guy was an absolute bot, and you seem to have just got lucky here. I think I’ve been killed in my F-16C by an R-27ER once before (since patch dropped), and that was cause I was already in a furball and the guy shot from 2km behind me. I’ve been having an excellent time flying high and clobbering people in BVR

    • @DrakenDXD
      @DrakenDXD  Před 8 dny

      @@christopherchartier3017 Well then you probably played against bots lol, its just facts, the ER has way more range and is quicker than any other missile. If you do good with american missiles, imagine them being over 2 machs faster than they are right now, plus round about 45km effective launch range, maybe even a bit more. thats how the ER feels, only down side is you can launch one at a time pretty much, since its SARH. Every Fox 3 user has a bvr disatvantage right from the start. Of course that does not guarantee a kill every time. Every radar missile is dodgeable if you play good enough. And im not saying the AMRAAM is bad. Its good for its own purpose. Closer range, not having to keep the lock etc, its awesome for getting kills in that gamemode, im talking about BVR here!

      @@DrakenDXD You cannot tell me that if that guy had notched your missile properly in the video once that amraam seeker went active, you would win that BVR fight. That’s the advantage of the amraam/Fox-3, you can defend an incoming missile, be it ER or otherwise, and still be aggressive since the fox 3 keeps tracking. The speed of the ER is almost negligible if I can just notch it before it hits me and still have a missile in the air, and I can easily match the range with an AMRAAM when I launch going Mach 1.2 at 8500 meters, since the amraam holds its speed really well.
      Also I just realized, did you confuse the amraam with the mica in the first reply? America doesn’t have any thrust vectoring missiles that pull 40G

    • @DrakenDXD
      @DrakenDXD  Před 8 dny

      @@christopherchartier3017 Oh yes! no thrust vectoring on the AMRAAM but same for the ER. But hey the AMRAAM it still pulls insanely good, easily on the same level, if not better.
      The 16km lock range for the AMRAAMs ARH does not help it a lot, if the AMRAAM has like 10 KM less effective launch range, and has over 2 Mach less topspeed. it simply runs out of energy if launched on more than what? 25KM? 30? because i will always defend against it. Either way it has way less effective range than the ER. And yea you can theoretically notch every radar missile if its not launched close enough for a guaranteed hit.
      But either way, i will have more than enough time to defend against the AMRAAM on BVR while they might struggle. And a lot of times, even if people try to notch the ER, it still hits. might be because the RWR does not pick it up early enough, or again, because it is so quick and cuz of the big, effective launch range. As i said earlier, there is just a big disatvantage for the amraam, if you engage against an ER carrier. Thats just the average engagement.
      But as we know, every fighter jet engagement depends on a lot of small factors aswell! It can also just happen, that ill be unlucky, sometimes my enemy.
