Love their reoccurring appearances through the series

It's a shame some of the other pirates aren't in it anymore but some have died and others didn't wanna star in another one

Captain Barbosa is always an amazing sight to see
Now I do think Barbossa with age would become a form of Pirate Lord/Commodore of Pirates but does anyone think this is too eloquent for Barbossa. I mean seriously he seems to have gone from vengeant pirate who loves sailing the sea on a constant to a lazy man.
Also it seems to me that somehow Will Turner never showed up to try and stop the dead from terrorizing the sea.
Correction, not lazy but less adventurous and seafaring.
You do slow down the older you get.
I imagine thats because in PotC CotBP, he is cursed to be walking dead until the curse is lifted. Once he comes back, he can feel pain and pleasure again, so why break your back? Enjoy your time alive and eat some apples or something.

@@kage3587 Agree with that but also again he enjoyed pirating. He had all the riches and even has the most powerful pirate ship and yet he would rather be lazy, just doesn't feel like what he would do.

Nah, that curse was broken in the first movie, and they made a point of showing it. They were like that (undead) all the time, only moonlight revealed them for what they truly were. Jack killed him, after the curse was lifted through Turner's blood (the only uncursed blood relative of the crew, alive, with exception to Barbosa's daughter, whom he wanted to keep hidden from everyone) but the sea witch brought him back. Still, the next time you see him after Jack shoots him, he's doing the one thing he said he would do if he ever broke the curse: Enjoying an apple (eating, something he had no need for under the curse).
It's interesting to note that the curse could only be lifted by an uncursed blood relative, which means Barbosa still had his daughter if Will Turner had died, or cursed himself as a final _"What now!?"_
Also that Barbosa never hounded Jack for the compass, unless he knew his need in the moment was greater to him than the desire of going to see his daughter (compass can help him break a curse, or find a thing of desperate need, but will never find treasure for him because it will always be pointing towards his daughter)
Still,how awesome would a showdown have been, luring them to that island and pitting undead crew against undead crew until the cast at large can break _all_ curses, and find that the battle suddenly has consequences
Probably they would fight for a LONG time. And then give up.
@@landonletterman831 Think you got it all wrong there mate : the lifting of the curse in the 1st movie required to return every gold coin of the Aztec treasure with a drop of blood of every crew member who had touched that same treasure. Only problem was : the crew tied one of their own, who took part in plundering the gold, to a cannon and drowned him. That crew member was Bill Turner, who made a medallion out of one of the gold coins and gave it to his son William. After raiding the coast and recovering every Aztec coin for ten years, the black pearl's crew had to find Bill Turner's coin and return it to the island to lift the curse. But since Bill was left for dead at the bottom of the ocean, Will was the only one who could let them achieve their task since being Bill's son means he has Bill's blood in his veins. So it was about the blood of everyone who touched the treasure and not about an uncursed crew member (Will Turner not being a member of the black pearl's crew in the 1st movie of course). Also another detail to prove my point : During the negotiation with Barbossa, Jack secretly hides one of the coins to curse himself on purpose (Cuz it's not funny to fight an immortal when you're still a mortal), then just before shooting Barbossa, he makes a cut on his hand, holds the coin and throws it to Will afterwards, who also proceeds to do the same with his own coin before saying " he didn't waste it " and throwing the two coins in the chest, thus lifting the curse and making Barbossa mortal again.
@@jugurtanamous5430 still, they only needed _Will's_ blood, Bill was irrelevant. I didn't know Bill made a coin into a medallion for Will, but he definitely wasn't cursed from it (that is an interesting prospect, can you stop the curse at yourself by melting the gold into something else.....and does the piece still count towards the entire haul, in lifting the curse, 'cause I don't remember them adding the medallion into the chest).
It has to be a living, uncursed relative, and seems they needed an offspring, as a mother (father, cousin, brother, sister) doesn't seem to be a fit. They need _Will's_ blood, or Karina's (which Barbosa _doesn't_ want).
Can't remember who had the compass at the start of the movie (Jack, I think), but Barbosa needed it before the end, if I'm recalling correctly, and unless his need was *great* he never hounded Jack for the compass.
Seems Barbosa had completly modify Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge and manage to see the interior.

By the time of this movie Barbossa reached a level of coolness that couldn’t be matched by anyone else. He had the queen Ann’s revenge, he has black beards sword, a new super cool look, an entire fleet of pirate ships, an alpha persona and not to mention his cannon balls…. 18LBS EACH THEY SAY!

Captain Barbossa is probably one of the best characters in the franchise. I did like the fact that his daughter was carina in that they played into that until his death was very sad, but a pirate's life ☠️

Did you forget that he hated being cursed. He would never do that on purpose again . In the 3rd movie there is a small scene between him and Tia Dalma ( Calypso) where she turns his hand into a skeleton again and you could see his fear .
It will be an epic fight between Captain Salamander and Captain Barbarian.
