  • Here is my review of the Zeiss Ikon Baldur camera that was produced between 1934 and 1937 named after the leader of the Hitler youth movement Baldur Von Schirach.
Its a nicely designed compact box camera and it comes in either 6x4.5cm or in this case 6x9cm guise using Zeiss Ikon BII or 120 roll film.

an interesting video, i too own a baldur but mine in 6x9cm is slightly different to yours in that it doesnt have the top lever on the face plate, no tripod screw and also it has two red windows on the back. it carries the DRP marking on the front lens indent along with the usual BALDUR and Zeiss Ikon logos

Thanks for the information! I've just bought an Erabox, which seems almost indistinguishable from the Baldur.

The erabox is the same as the baldur, just with a less incendiary name for sale outside of Germany. It was marketed as a box tengor for youth.
