    I'd just like to say I really appreciate your quick and to-the-point video. I have a presentation I'd like to record with multiple video inputs and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. VERY helpful!

    Wow wee - you have given me idea's for playing around with OBS. Not specifically using camera, just generally capturing the screen 👍
    Once again... THANK YOU !!

      Hmmm not sure on how to do that or if it's even possible 🤔

      I found out that I can't unless I use a different platform such as real stream which I am using now. Thank you

    I need some help: I somehow figured out how to add a second camera view on my own, but it stopped working when I tried to adjust something (sorry, I don't remember exactly what I did) and now I cannot get a second view when I add the second source, i.e. the program displays a black screen as the second source. I checked in my computer's camera feed to make sure the second camera was functioning properly, and I can clearly see the second camera's view. But for some reason, no matter how many tutorials I watch, I cannot figure out how to activate the view for the second camera. The only way I can do so is if I unplug the main camera. Can anyone help me troubleshoot adding a second video capture device? Any suggestions would be most welcome!

    how do you add 3 cam video sources in one scene?

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand
      @GeekoutdoorsBrand  Před 4 měsíci

      I created a scene with multiple video sources with each camera using its own USB port

    Quick question. Would I be able to use3 of the exact same camera to keep the image quality consistent, or is OBS not smart enough to recognize 3 individual cameras of the same type?

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand
      @GeekoutdoorsBrand  Před 2 lety +2

      I have 3 video sources for my current setup (1 camera, 2 webcams) but 3 cameras will require more: 3 video capture cards and how powerful your computer is to process especially for higher resolutions/frame rates.

    • @analuizadealmeida
      @analuizadealmeida Před 7 měsíci +1

      My computer shows the 3 cameras are working properly and are updated however obs can't find the image of one of the cameras even though my pc tells me it is working properly.

    • @whiskeyearned1543
      @whiskeyearned1543 Před 7 měsíci

      @@analuizadealmeida I've run into that too. I've fixed it by either restarting OBS, re-adding the camera as a source or rebooting my PC altogether.

    Dummy here, as far as the new technology.... IF I am using a POE+ Gigabit Switch 100/1000 OBS should be able to recognize all cameras on the network am I correct? And do you think it would have enough bandwidth to pass the data for the pc to received and stream?

    I added 2 1080p cameras to OBS, it freezes either 1 or both cameras after a few minutes, I have to unplug/plug to reestablish the video. I have an i7 16gb ram gtx1660 , I would think it should handle it. Any ideas?

    • @GeekoutdoorsBrand
      @GeekoutdoorsBrand  Před 2 lety

      Hey Brent I'm not entirely sure as I haven't yet experienced the consistent freezing issue although I have had video source issues but just like yourself, once I unplug/plug things worked.

      @@GeekoutdoorsBrand I removed my Pengo 4k grabber from the equation, replaced it and seems to be working fine. NVIDIA said my gtx 1660 will not support 2 1080p cameras but its working ok, some flickering, I may need to dumb down to 720p.

      I am looking into a 4 camera setup and Game capture (from another pc feed). I have been hearing that NVIDIA does have issues with this. At the same time, I Have also heard that you really need to separate USB hubs for each input.
      So not only is the Processor an issue, but the Video card is a big one as well as the capabilities of any PCIe USB/Vidoe capture devices.
      I am easily pushing $2500 for a pc build to do all of this and I don't see anyway possible that a Laptop can handle this kind of processing power with the limited input capabilities.
