Their vocalist, Dustin produced this album! He said that's why the vocals are more prominent. Such an amazing album. My favorite was Trials
Starset is very immersive. They have a whole world they've created. It's hard to explain. You kinda just have to be a part of it to understand it all. Definitely check out Telekinetic, it's easily in my top 5 songs by them. Trials is one of the heavier ones. Solstice is one of my personal favorites, and Echos definitely became a fan favorite. But otherwise I honestly think you might dislike the rest of Divisions. They moved more towards synth rock.
Yess!!! Although they did go to more synth, I still personally loved all of Dicisions and make sense in the context of that album!

As a longtime fan and because Starset is my favorite band, I'm gonna be biased on all these songs lol.
With that said, I can weed out the ones that people would probably love for you to react to.
Telekinetic, Other Worlds Than These, and Diving Bell are probably the three most different songs, and each have moments that will shock you.
Echo, Where The Skies End, Perfect Machine, and Trials are also songs you should react to.
Stratosphere, Faultline, and Solstice could be reaction songs, but I think you could do without.
Waking Up is not much of a reaction song.
As for Lindsay, just listen to all 38 songs, and then go back and listen to Vessels 2.0's acoustics. Not listening to them all is unfair to your ears.
If I had to choose however, I'd say to start off with My Demons for all around, Bringing It Down for heavy, and Dark on Me/Telepathic Acoustic for slow.
These bands need to support you, I have purchased so many bands new albums because of your reactions.
I remember first listening to Starset when they just came out from the start with “My Demons” on Sirius octane 2013.
Started listening to this album just from your thumbnail... Mix of the guitars in the chorus remind me a lot of old 2001-05 POD! Loving it! Thanks for the find

I didn't know about this band also, until I listened to this song. Now they're one of my favorite and I can't stop listening to them.
I just saw starset live a few weeks ago and it was life changing. This song live was amazing.
Some of my personal Starset favorites: My Demons, Carnivore, Halo, Down With The Fallen, Last To Fall, Monster, Telepathic
When I first heard this I was like whats with the poppy sounding lyrics and then by the end I couldnt stop repeat playing it all day.
My violin professor from college actually toured with Starset a couple years ago.
My favs are Trials, Echo, Faultline and Telekenetic from the album

Dustin Bates, the lead of the band, did the majority of the editing, his self, for this album. He said so, in an interview he did, before the album dropped, but shortly after Manifest was released....He also posted on the band's FB page, about it.

I was lucky enough to meet him when he was an instructor at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. Hella nice dude and wicked smart/talented!
You asked about who produced this. Dustin, the lead singer is the producer of the album as I believe he stated that in the Loudwire Late Night interview or whatever its called.

When I listen to Divisions, I feel like the album is a mix of their last albums. Some songs sound like Transmissions (Perfect Machine and Telescope) and some like Vessels (Telekinetic somewhat is like Vessels). Some also have a new style (Trials and Other Worlds Than These for example)
Which I Love and I think the album name implies. Old and new collide along with just the right sprinkle of new and ingenuity with the more poppy elements yet with some good heavy djent style guitars here and there like in Manifest

I still think Vessels was their best work and had some heavy moments that Lindsay would like seeing as how she was hoping for a breakdown. Vessels has a couple Juicy ones that lets Dustin howl over SEE: Bringing It Down.

A song for future song's from STARSET MY DEMONS they did a AMAZON FRONT ROW video for it and you will see their first tour costumes. If you want to read more on the inspiration of their style there is a novel called "THE PROX TRANSMISSION" I don't know but I think they have copies for sale on their band merch page. Or you might be able to find it on the AMAZON website.

Telekinetic is one of their heaviest, Trials is a rebel song and it goes hard. Trials is absolutely powerful and packs a punch. Echo is my favorite off the record lyrically and has cool electronics

If you guys haven’t heard of them Wyatt and Lindsay then you’d really like Smash Into Pieces. They are a good band that’s similar to Starset. You should check them out, even if it’s not for a reaction.
"THE MONSTER YOU MADE ME"/"MONSTER" Off VESSELS is my favorite on the that album but I have not found a song of theirs that I have not enjoyed

You should listen to Carnivore with Lindsay, think that would give her a good idea of Starset. For some Reason Starset reminds me of RED.
