The Mongols soldiers were promoted based on their military skills, not birthright. They could use both hands to fire a recurved bow, the most powerful bow at the time, on horseback at full gallop. A bit weird they ended with the Battle of The Ice which was fought against Germanic crusaders and not Mongols, but I guess the wanted a Braveheart moment.
The one who wants to destroy you is the enemy. The difference between the Mongols and the Crusaders is that the Crusaders, for the Russians, are much more toxic than the Mongols..

The mongols were one of the best if not the best trained soldiers there was at their time. I doubt they would lose so badly as they did in this movie.
Yeah it was opposite actually in many facts in this movie, Mongols from year 1200 - 1600 never even reached 100k soldiers for world campaign, always low in numbers against large armies, even now/nowadays population is low in Mongolia still. If you check closely what Mongols were doing really, they were uniting people and crushing greedy system in other Countries and helped them to transform into unity and Government system rather than one man worship and rule which Great Tengri law, leader must be for the people not for its own gain or rule, people shall prosper and for that leader exists which in those dark ages greed over time accumulated some and heaven sent punishment using Mongol hordes, even Christian scholars at that time in Europe wrote as Mongols were sent as God punishment and we forgot God.
@@azamatshaimyerdyen6037 What are you talking about? Mongols conquest of China had 800,000 k plus troops. Mongols invaded Khwarezmia with 200,000 k plus troops. Mongols sent Subutai and a Chinese general named Guo Kan to explore the west and somehow defeated Rus Principalities, Hungary, and Poland with 40 k troops.
It's not the best trained soldiers but the best generals/tacticians. Mongols lost a battle in China where they outnumbered the Chinese in open field where they are at their best and lost that battle horribly. Subutai and Guo Kan after returning from their victories in Middleeast and Europe lost their battles in China. Mongke Khan died in a battle in China which cause the Mongol Empire to split into 4 kingdoms. Yuan in China/Mongolia, Chagatai in Central Asia, Ilkhanate in Middleeast, and Golden Horde in Europe. These 4 kingdoms were infighting eachother.

Europeans can make as many movies as they want, but in real history 30 Mongol horsemen is more than enough against 300 European knights of any country. It was World conqueror vs Peasant abusers.
Nah I wouldn't think so, knights also can use bows as well as Armour to protect themselves from incoming fire, it depends on what skill level of the knights and Mongols, 300 is a bit much as knights mainly were on horse back they would catch and gut them eventually with their superior numbers
@@allytank-itykitty7417
1- Mongols were superior riders to any knight, many of them spent more time on horseback than on foot from young age, and that's by far the most important factor in horseback fighting.
2- Mongols were also far superior when it comes horse archery, that's pretty obvious, their composite bow have longer range and better penetration power than any European bows at the time ( except for the English longbow which cant be use on horseback ).
3- 300 is a bit of an exaggeration yeah, but if it's on an open field, it's unlikely that the knight could catch the Mongol, not in their heavy armors and against superior riders
4 -Mongol can equip heavy armors too.
5- All in all, European best bet against Mongols were their castles not their cavalry.
@@aclock2 while I agree they had superior bows to anything anyone else has at the time, 2 bows for different fighting. For me it would come down to skill, a veteran knight would know the range and avoid direct contact, they were not stupid to just charge them. 1 on 1 at range a Mongol close the knight, but while they were great horse archers that does not mean they were invincible as they did have weaknesses and is why they struggled in parts of Europe,
Though for the knights gear, it's Armour was good but chain is good for stopping peirce, but not blunt trauma so if they fired past the shield then that knight was gunna have a bad day if it didn't peirce his Armour
