i just got the alpha s and thought i'd share some points. I've not experienced any issues with this head set at all. i've done A LOT of research and looked at alternatives like hm752 and cloud 2, g pros, a bunch of them. I decided to go with this because it is the newest wired release of the hyper x sets and hyper x know what theyre doing. I would only play pc games and listen to music on these. the soundstage is amazing, i can hear so much in songs that i had never heard before, there is no distortion, and the volume sounds as it should. I've plugged the usb sound card into a usb 3 slot as i read it makes a difference vs usb 2. theyre very comfortable and i have no complaints at all. the bass sliders on the side make a noticeable difference, not a massive difference but you'd most likely have them in half or open positions. the hm752 lacks bass for gaming (its a flat sounding headset) and the alpha s has bass and there is the ear cup screw issue on the hm752 so i didnt want to take my chances with that (even if its been fixed in newer dispatches). there is no sound suppression besides the pleather pads which is the same design as the cloud 2 so there should be no difference. the mic sounds good, no cross talk or whirling sounds people have mentioned on the regular alpha (not s). i chose not to go with the cloud 2 because they were released in 2015 and again, the alpha is considered a successor to the cloud 2 in a way. i guess last thing is comfort and i find these very comfortable. i've tried clouds 2 before which are seen like a heavenly pillow for comfort and these feel just the same. oh last thing is actually the 7.1 feature, it sounds terrible but you shouldnt use it for gaming anyway.

@@mightymochi6320 My Cloud 2's audio still works as well as it did when I first bought it, but my microphone was making static noises so I decided to upgrade. Might've been the USB dongle but I'd rather buy a new headset because my Gaming Setup is Purple/Black now and the Red Cloud 2's didn't match. Loving my new Alpha S in Black, it's like the Cloud 2's older brother. The discount made it all the more worth it and it didn't take long to arrive!

Thank you so much! I've been sitting on the fence because I don't know which headset to buy, and on top of that, I don't know whether to go wireless or wired. I'm planning on building a cockpit to play some F1 and other racing games, so I thought about going with a wireless headset. However, they are usually more expensive and the mic isn't as good as wired headsets. I also play other genres, so now I think I'll go with the Cloud Alpha S. Do you think it's a good choice, or would you recommend another wireless model?

Honest review after 3 days usage:
I have been trying to get Alpha s for more than 2 yrs. Since the price was too high in my country I bought Sony xb-55ap earphone last year, hoping to buy alpha s this year 2021. I have used Sony earphones for more than 6months and alpha s for just 3 days now. I haven't changed the equalizer settings.
    Points-
    1) hyperx had slightly more volume
2)Sony had better and more bass
    3) Sony is worth the price
    -sony = 30$
    -alpha s = 150$
    4) Both are built to last long
    5) While playing Apex both were same (7.1 is nothing other than boosting the volume)
I thought headphones gives really different gaming experience. That's why I bought even though it costed me 150$. But this Is a big disappointment coz 30$ earphone was on par with it
Ask me if u HV any doubts
*If anything different is observed I will update this*

One major fact that everybody fails to point out between the two is the fact that the Cloud II's are WAY louder than the Alpha S version. I used to play Modern Warfare at around 40% master volume with the Cloud II's whilst with the Alpha S, I can max it out to a 100% without it being annoyingly loud. Alpha S is quieter in the sense that it has a much more balanced and crispier sound whilst the Cloud II's are loud and lack the sharpness of the Alpha S. You'll only notice this difference if you owned both pairs. Took me a while personally to get used to the sound. A week in, I started to think that my Alpha S's were faulty but it was not the case. Both are extremely good headphones!
