It was less about strength and more about gravity. Don't really need to be all that strong to do that, just enough to lift it a little off the ground to start bouncing.
First one is pure applied physics, second and third one are quite safe, efficient and affective AF. Last one is very talented and has a calm hand. Everyone who has such workers - show you appreciation!

He probably was asked to make those tiles look somewhat vintage,and did it by showing his outstanding technique. He handles his circular saw just like a good sculptor would do with his chisel.
