In Shakespeare's day and age, they didn't care about that kind of thing. They had all-male casts back then. Young boys and older men would play the women and girls. Sometimes old men would play young boy parts and young boys would play older men parts. Audiences back then had more open minds and were able to understand that the characters being played were the characters and that the actors ages and looks were super trivial things that didn't make one bit of difference to their enjoyment of the stories.
