Some years ago, a family friend who works for the transit authority told me to NEVER stand on the platform without having my back hugging the wall or to sit on the bench. He said he's seen too much happen so BEWARE. I hope they find this guy and arrest him for attempted murder. By the way, Mr. Penny's heroic response recently saved lives.
New Yorkers have to be more aware and diligent in the subway and on public transportation period. Stand in the middle of the platform, instead of leaning over to look for the train. Or stand with your back against a pillar. God help those traveling during rush hour. 🤨
