Eat more meat can help with mental illness. I eat only meat and cheese and animal fat it works wonders after 2 weeks tbh try it. it won't kill you \^^/
Hammond always used to be my favourite but as I've got older and developed a more sarcastic, dry sense of humour I tend to relate a lot more to James nowadays. I could listen to him talk about baked beans for hours, he makes everything sound so interesting.
I'm not a big fan of cup noodles, but if you;re fortunate enough to live near a shop that sell Mi Goreng or Ko-Lee hot and spicy noodles, give those a go. Great hangover cure after a night of heavy drinking.
@7:25 - I think the easiest experimental food to start with is Eggs, of course if you're vegan or something, then surely something else like beans that James mentioned, but eggs have been simplest, cut the stuff, spray over, and you got eggs or omlet(omelette) with whatever you threw in.
Its a bit sad really. Back in the 90s, Jeremy was smooth, debonaire and not bad-looking (if you liked that kind of thing). But as he's got older, he's slowly turning into Donald Trump...less tolerant, more aggressive, more prone to ridiculous exaggerations and ludicrous ideas. xD
Imagine how cool your life would be if you had him as an uncle All the crazy car projects in the shed, even the cooking stuff he actually makes it entertaining
I kid you not: I used to share a flat with an Indian chap, we would regularly make a curry sauce and then add a tin of beans and serve it with rice. We used to call it "the beans" and talk about "we havent had the beans for a while" and end up cooking it for tea
Classic - your trying to keep focused in the kitchen and Hammond is getting on the west to being mashed. That would be a hilarious episode of some cooking show.
Having lived in the arsehole of nowhere for years with the only shop for miles around being a spar attached to a nearby filling station. It's amazing what you can do to jazz up homogeneous pink sausages and noodles.
I don’t drink wine very often but when I do I usually end up with a bottle of La Salle Muscat. Nothing fancy, just a cheap (at least here in Sweden) white ’dessert wine’. And yes, it’s screw cap.
Talking about the Mouli grater really brought happy childhood memories back, ours was orange. I've never been so happy thinking about a cheese grater :)
Tin of baked beans, add to one table spoon of Bisto in a saucepan with a cup or two of water, add the dripping from whatever beef cut, and simmer to desired consistency. Pour on a plate of mashed potatoes and a slice of beef/steak. Fucking heaven. Marco Pierre White would approve.
5:00 James smokes weed as well, explain why he get the munchies. (Mentioned on Top Gear when he talks about not having much to do when your driving a bus so you can have a joint btw)
I don’t know why people always think it’s not sustainable. I was fruitarian for a year and only stopped because I wanted veggies. There are a lot of folks who are vegan their entire lives. I’ve eaten meat a handful of times in 36 years. I had a dairy and eggs phase, but those actually made me feel worse than strict veganism. I don’t know of nutrition the human body requires that can’t be found in produce. Even protein and calcium.
Yes but James May is a man of culture, a man who likes to sort and outline his spanners. I don't think he'd ever touch a beer hat except for maybe throwing it out.
As long as there is meat in shops and take aways, I will NEVER stop eating meat! We need meat as well as we need veg. We need both to have a balanced diet. Even James said it made him Ill! No one can change my mind on this.
@@alphasierra. I suppose it's the one indian dish where I'd *consider* skipping the bread, but I'd still have a naan with it more often than not! I didn't realise that was so troubling!
If you think food scientists are out there to make really good, really delicious food, you should probably stick to cars! I made chutney just the other day. It'll be Christmas presents for the in-laws because it's shit...

James I could listen to you all day, despite what Jeremy and Richard would have you believe I find your views on stuff very interesting.
This might be a very good place to start recovering from depression. Listening to James is so soothing AND interesting at the same time.
The internet is a terrible place to recover from depression. Go outside.

Spot on, as usual. Though these days I guess they use Just Eat or Deliveroo (if they can afford it).
It is true. Lager makes you want a curry. Curry makes you want a lager. But you must break out of this or else you will end up in a korma.

James really is the man; Richard is going insane and Jeremy is just not aging very well.
Hammond is going insane? How do you figure?
@XiphiasX10A From what I have heard, since the first accident he now loves celery and hates pizza, and has anger management issues.
Jeremy has aged quite a but the last few years, but he is turning 60 next year..

Advice from the man who beat Gordon Ramsey is priceless!
We were once deliberating over the difference between pies and tarts. A friend exclaimed, 'tarts don't have tops on!'.
Eyyy! You should try Sri Lankan food James! Do a food vlog around the world 😁
I do the same with pies (serve them upside down), makes them much easier to eat actually.

Vegan for over 2 years and vegetarian since I was 15, it is sustainable you’ve just got to learn how to make it sustainable
