I feel like if they had recorded this in a studio, with each track painstakingly edited and corrected, picking only the best takes, with effects, a producer and a studio engineer, it would still be not better than this live version. These people are so good that their average performance any given day is the same performance that ideal conditions and total forgiveness for any mistake can bring. As someone else said in the comments, I wonder how many people truly appreciate how much work one needs to sound this good.
These guys are just incredible musicians & Alex Ligertwood's vocals are phenomenal! I wonder if people who have never played any kind of music can even understand or appreciate how hard it is to sound this good!

Steve Ferrone on drums, John Pena on bass, Lenny Castro on percussion, Alex Ligertwood on vocals, and James Harrah on guitar. One thing though, i feel that Alex put a high note too many on some parts, which sound a bit strained. but otherwise, a great vocal showmanship. To sound good and tasteful and groovy is a skill that these guys have through experience and discipline, i can honestly say as a musician myself. Two thumbs up!

100 percent agree that this level of performance is often taken for granted but should be lauded as it is supreme musicianship by all. Ligertwood first hit in 79 when he joined Santana for the Marathon album and I realized he was the powerhouse voice from Brian Auger. Catch Santana , Sacred Fire live ....
