Its the honda beat now guy, engine swapped, run it under 300pp (mine is at 296 I think for low pp tune), and I am getting $1.5m p/h afk. You can get a similar result with the Honda S660, running it in 200pp, but the beat is alot faster, and credits p/h is superior.
Thank you for this build. I changed the rear anti roll bar to 9 and put 5kg ballast all the way forward and the Beetle is so much more stable and less twitchy. I hope this helps anyone.
That’s what I was thinking. Try it when you can. I barely have to think about steering now. I also haven’t spun out yet with snap oversteer after these tweaks lol
when you say 5kg “forward”, do you mean all the way to the front of the car or do you mean you move the slider all the way forward which would be to the rear?
@@RyanSmith-zo5lf move the position all the way to the left. Which is moving the ballast to the front of the car. Because the engine is in the rear having a bit of weight in the front balances the beetle. I haven’t spun out since I made these tweaks. Funny enough the PP goes up a bit when putting on some ballast to the left (front) of the beetle.
Used this for abit nice tweaks. I tried sports soft tyres on the front with your adjustments it’s so much better. Can actually stick to the insides on the corners
As somebody that has been using the Beatle since the START because I didn't want to spend the money on the engine swap for the Abarth, this makes me INSANELY happy 😁😁 😂😂
For those running AFK, keep the Abarth. This runs 5 sec slower per lap than Abarth on nitro afk laps (51.9 vs 46.8) and 10 sec slower on non-nitro afk laps (1:03.97 vs 52.5). My script ends before the end of the race even with ample buffer time. I suspect wall-riding slows the Beetle a lot more compared to the Abarth. The Beetle is very quick if grinding manually though
I don't know if it will work here but it does at Tokyo and did whilst using the cappuccino at Daytona. If you clatter into an A.I. driver, back off, let them re-overtake you, and give them the next corner before you start to overtake. Doing this I have found that the bonus is not forfeit. Like deployed 👍
I've been running the Suzuki Cappucino with wide body and aero set 100 front, 300 rear with racing soft tires. I've got a setup with nitrous set at 50, race setting nitrous multiplier maxed out, car runs steady 240 mph+ and is fully stable and controllable. Payout is slightly lower than the Abarth setup, but you can run 10 laps in 6 minutes! Just mess around with the gearing of the Tomahawk to keep it on pace and out of the way, but slightly slower than you.
I've done similar, but my nitrous output set at 24% to do 20 laps. I'm getting 36.5 to 37.5 (when lapping cars) and finishing in about 12'15"-30". My speed on the boost is about 245 on the straights, more if catching a draft, and 251 with draft+tailwind.

Its a little slower in the corners than the one in the video but drives like its on rails.
It's more or less a fix of the performance calculation for engine swapped cars, not so much the nerfing the payout of Daytona. You'll still earn a hefty amount just not as much as before. The payout per hour will drop to roughly 3 million post patch.
30 laps in my Jeep gets $1.749M/race. I also spread the interval out to the maximum 50m, then the Tomahawks aren't bunched up at the start. I'm further behind and takes more than 1 lap to get around all 19, but they are in single file with nice gaps in between each of them. Still lap them 4 times in 23 minutes. I might try this with the 50m interval though, thanks!
Not efficient. You gain less and less per lap over 10. The reason this method is 9 laps is because it scales the same as 10, but the nitrous will only last 9 laps. So anything over 9 laps is much, much slower AND you get less money scaling. Further, you encounter lapped traffic more and your risk of losing more money than you should increases each time. If you hit someone on a nine lap / 5 minute race, it's no big deal to only lose 160k. If you hit someone on lap 27 of a 30 lap race, well, you've just lost hundreds of thousands more credits for the same mistake. This is about minimizing risk, and maximizing time on the nitrous.

@@TheSilverShadow17 Incorrect. 8 to 9 is a 30k increase, so is 9 to 10. Lap 10 to lap 11 is 27,500. You can check this yourself... The reason to trim lap 10 is there is no setup that can run it fully with Nitrous on. In order of fastest laptimes and a PP low enough to make this economical, is the 1) Cappuccino 2) The Beetle 3) Abarth, 4) The Jeep - The Abarth is faster for afk as it has less wall friction. If you're manual, the Cappuccino can run 33-34 second lap times, but you get slightly less per race.
Well polyphony just patched this money making opportunity out with 1.41... wow I had a feeling they were going to do this I've been ignoring making money like this since I've bought the game and I finally gave in and set one of these races up and I got two days of using it, made probably about 4 million credits.. can't wait to see what you come up with next man
PD just nerfed this hard! They took a personal vendetta against this. Now PP doesn’t matter much, and all payouts are capped at woeful amounts! For good measure they screwed around with the fuel and tire wear settings as well. Someone was probably fired for this screw up, it was awesome while it lasted! 🥳
Try Sport Softs in the front without changing anything of the other mentioned settings. Car is on rails. Smooth and easy to control, stays on the inside lane on full throttle. I’m doing 37.35 to 37.40 standard lap times.
Since this got patched Guys just do the spa 1 hour race. Pick a LMP 1 car, downtune it and use RM's. Easiest 1.5 million credits of my life Reason: your fuel will last you 21 out of 25 laps. Maybe even 22. And even if it starts raining or hailing, you don't pit, you stay out. Dude in second place will try to follow you until lap 17, then starts pitting every lap. The rest just start pitting at lap 8. So pit at lap 21, pick a new set of mediums, refuel to around 70% (can do with 50 or lower) and win
Using sport softs in the front makes it 100% easier to drive. I honestly think it's better than the Abarth or the Jeep to drive but ONLY with the sport softs. With the racing hard it's really sketchy and too difficult to not ram into the Tommys or accidentally veer over the yellow lines.
Hi I'm the guy that sent this setup over. You'll find it a bit easier if you set the tomahawks highest gear to 250-270kph so they aren't getting in the way. I have an older version of the setup shown in action on my channel where you can see what I mean
Because it takes 5 minutes to get 500,000 cr it reminds me of GT All Stars Red Rock Valley in Gran Turismo 2 in where you win a TVR Speed 12 sellable for 500,000cr
Why not make the tomahawk faster top speed therefore you won’t lap them as often and then can make the race with more laps. Reducing the risk of collision with them.
@hagbardceline859Except that you don't want to make them faster because you're the one gaining the upper hand on them. Plus it's a hell of a lot harder to do the race with the Beetle than it is the Abarth since that's the overall fastest car at Daytona.
Making the Tomahawks faster makes it harder to pass them so don't bother with it lol it's a stupid and moronic thing to do unless you like making things Hell for yourself.
The Willys around Bathurst for 5 laps. Takes around ten mins, pays 1mil with the clb. Tomahawks can be a pain in the a hole but once you get the hang of them and the best places for overtakes it’s a piece of p!ss. Just over 6mill for roughly an hour. I’ve made 26mill today alone with the Abarth afk for 36 laps at Daytona
I've noticed no matter what I do, it doesn't change the amount of money I get. Widebody, suspension numbers, wide tires, wheels, downforce, etc. My Abarth with the same shit, still gets 357,200 cr. The only thing that changes is how fast the lap times are. Run wild with it, but obviously space your gears out to accommodate for the engine swap.
Look at his amount for 9 laps, I receive the same amount for 9 laps in Abarth. I'm saying you don't have to follow his exact tune. Having a wide car, tires, or wheels aren't going to affect the outcome of how much you get. When I followed his tune for the Abarth, it made the suspension too stiff, so I changed it to my liking. I can turn in quicker and actually steer the car while in the turn instead of being thrown into the wall. Make your car suit your driving style. I even made a wide body bug and added wide wheels to see if I'd make the same amount for 9 laps as him, and sure enough, I do.

I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong I followed the vid and double checked I did everything the same and the race pay out only starts at $214,300 and clean race is $321,450 what am I doing wrong?
Combined this Custom Race setting w/AFK controller and automated the restart of the race via OSX PS Remote Play app and OSX Automator. Kinda bummed to find out the wallet maxes out at 100,083,091. Was hoping to get up over 300mil before they patch it. Thanks for putting this info out there!
@@carlosm.8422 Yes. It's not 100% reliable. I'll get maybe 5 or 6 successful restarts and then experience a double X or something else, ruining the sequence of clicks required.
This dose not work anymore due to the newest patch being 1.41 they have changed the way the game accounts for tuneing and you canot get as much money with this
The patch has nerfed the payouts. But a way of getting some extra bonus is 2 have 2 set ups on your car such as the Cappuccino or Abbarth or Jeep. I call my first setting Switcharoo... make the settings the crappest you can. Turn off all upgrades, power restrict, top ballast everything. It makes your PP go to the lowest it can. Then set up your race as normal. I had a Toyota Supra which was in the 390 PP area. The payout for 16 laps was £160k. Before you press start go to car settings and change to Top PP setting which my supra had 816 PP. Easily does over 200mph. Win easily but the payout doesnt go down. If i tried to race from the start with my 816PP suora it would pay out £57k. So its not as great as before the Patch. But quick way 2 make small cash sums. Im sure people much better at tuning set ups than me can the Nissan Silva done. I keep spinning in mine 😂
I set up everything exactly like you and it gives me 214.300cr on the dash before the start of the race. Do they have downsized the reward or am I missing something?
have to complete the circuit experience for that track and payout will increase…. obviously gold gets u higher payouts but u don’t necessarily need it if it too hard, sliver or bronze is just fine.
I make 1,38M (with clean race bonus) 22Minutes (25 laps) afk mode with abbart. But i can make it on 15 Minutes if i use capuccino... so its almost the same

Okay I need help. What does it take to get a clean race bonus? I have done this race several times and ensured that I did not touch a competitor I might strike a wall gently a few times per race and hover down into the lower inside Lane just for a few moments never triggering the countdown?

You don't have to be level 50 as I am only level 42 what if you want the highest payout you should gold all of the races for that track trust me it's totally worth it
Swapped Jeep runs 45s on nitro & 48s without. Jeep is the most stable through the corners. I do 10 lap races in case I have an accident. Yields 595,000 cr for 8 minutes.

Question? What do I need to do to gain access to features like fuel mix, engine swap, cockpit view, etc? I've had the game about three weeks and Bronzed all licenses, collectors level 35 i think right now. Made allot of friends on GT5, now I'm back and want to get all of this in order to be able to run with some of those guys again. Oh, I've found my money maker to be LeMans at 1.6m/hour with R35 Nismo.
Level 50 unlocks the engine swap and to unlock more features in the game, you need to do the Menu Book. You need to the whole Menu Book up to 39 to unlocks tracks & stuff. A friend request if you want fordlaser777 if you want. My money makingis is 213,000 credits in 6 minutes, but you need to get all Gold at Daytona circuit experience track, and to be at Level 50.
Totally off topic and probably already answered, but what is the color of this '66 VW it looks good on this car but I probably wouldn't like it on other cars.
This video above has been patched. You need to get all Gold at the circuit experience track to get another red bar. The 3rd red bar I believe you get it when your driving rating for online racing is a S Rating. Even if you have the 3rd bar in custom races, it will not effects the custom race payouts, as long you have 2 bars your fine.
If you bought credits in Playstation Store, it doesn't count in the 100mil credits limit, so you can go over. Credits earned are spent before credits bought

You have to rake in cash to buy cars to get you to 50. You can do this exact thing but no engine swap, for me it took double the lap time but it’ll essentially accomplish the same until you can hit 50, swap the motor & cut the time in half
It has been patched 4 months ago mate, but there is another glitch at the same track. It is called a Honda Beat Method with engine swap, and there is a Honda S660 method without engine swap. The Honda Beat Method for a 10 lap race is 213,000 credits with bonus for under 6 minutes. The Honda S660 Method for 10 lap race is 248,400 credits with bonus in 7 minutes and 20 seconds.
Damn, I'm using the Cappuccino doing 12 laps averaging 36+ seconds per lap at about 7:45 total race time with only a $577,000 payout. This blows my method out of the water. I do wonder are you using a controller of a wheel setup? Ive been using my Fanatec DD Pro and sometimes its pretty difficult to get the glitch cars around the track without having accidents.

I'm running 33.8 second laps in the a different car I can't remember the name of it starts with a C little car and getting 625000 in 10 laps why would I do this

AFK all the way mate. 14 laps at a time. You can use the red bull, payout same as Tommy. Rubber band plus motion.

Non afk I am getting high 45seconds in the abath. I do 26 laps for 1.57million in about 19 mins. I’m happy with that.

I run the Cappuccino 33 laps just under 20 minutes I don't remember the pay out though I remember the pay out for 2 races was like 3.8 million
Hellcat jeep 600.000 for 10 laps under 8 minutes far more stable than the alternative cars as the beetle or the fiat great fun running 42's with boost

@hagbardceline859Except that you don't want to make them faster because you're the one gaining the upper hand on them. Plus it's a hell of a lot harder to do the race with the Beetle than it is the Abarth since that's the overall fastest car at Daytona.
I did this from the beginning and kept it that way everyone flows and easier to get a clean race 👍
Making the Tomahawks faster makes it harder to pass them so don't bother with it lol it's a stupid and moronic thing to do unless you like making things Hell for yourself.

The Willys around Bathurst for 5 laps. Takes around ten mins, pays 1mil with the clb. Tomahawks can be a pain in the a hole but once you get the hang of them and the best places for overtakes it’s a piece of p!ss. Just over 6mill for roughly an hour. I’ve made 26mill today alone with the Abarth afk for 36 laps at Daytona
I've noticed no matter what I do, it doesn't change the amount of money I get. Widebody, suspension numbers, wide tires, wheels, downforce, etc. My Abarth with the same shit, still gets 357,200 cr. The only thing that changes is how fast the lap times are.
Run wild with it, but obviously space your gears out to accommodate for the engine swap.
Have you done the Circuit experiences or are you level 50? Because if you have done those you will get 400% bonus to the price

Look at his amount for 9 laps, I receive the same amount for 9 laps in Abarth. I'm saying you don't have to follow his exact tune. Having a wide car, tires, or wheels aren't going to affect the outcome of how much you get.
When I followed his tune for the Abarth, it made the suspension too stiff, so I changed it to my liking. I can turn in quicker and actually steer the car while in the turn instead of being thrown into the wall. Make your car suit your driving style.
I even made a wide body bug and added wide wheels to see if I'd make the same amount for 9 laps as him, and sure enough, I do.

300 credits to change the oil. When thenoio is bad the car shakes about a bit. Liable to hit another car when using AFK.

Combined this Custom Race setting w/AFK controller and automated the restart of the race via OSX PS Remote Play app and OSX Automator. Kinda bummed to find out the wallet maxes out at 100,083,091. Was hoping to get up over 300mil before they patch it. Thanks for putting this info out there!

@@carlosm.8422 Yes. It's not 100% reliable. I'll get maybe 5 or 6 successful restarts and then experience a double X or something else, ruining the sequence of clicks required.
Buy a load of expensive cars and keep grinding so you can sell the cars at a later date if needed

This dose not work anymore due to the newest patch being 1.41 they have changed the way the game accounts for tuneing and you canot get as much money with this

The patch has nerfed the payouts. But a way of getting some extra bonus is 2 have 2 set ups on your car such as the Cappuccino or Abbarth or Jeep.
I call my first setting Switcharoo... make the settings the crappest you can. Turn off all upgrades, power restrict, top ballast everything. It makes your PP go to the lowest it can.
Then set up your race as normal. I had a Toyota Supra which was in the 390 PP area.
The payout for 16 laps was £160k.
Before you press start go to car settings and change to Top PP setting which my supra had 816 PP. Easily does over 200mph. Win easily but the payout doesnt go down.
If i tried to race from the start with my 816PP suora it would pay out £57k. So its not as great as before the Patch. But quick way 2 make small cash sums.
Im sure people much better at tuning set ups than me can the Nissan Silva done. I keep spinning in mine 😂

i find with active grinding the cappucino is still faster, I can do 34s laptimes actively this i seem to max out at about 36

I make 1,38M (with clean race bonus) 22Minutes (25 laps) afk mode with abbart. But i can make it on 15 Minutes if i use capuccino... so its almost the same

Okay I need help. What does it take to get a clean race bonus? I have done this race several times and ensured that I did not touch a competitor I might strike a wall gently a few times per race and hover down into the lower inside Lane just for a few moments never triggering the countdown?

Yes level 50 for the engine swap, and you can run it without all gold but the payout won't be as high
You don't have to be level 50 as I am only level 42 what if you want the highest payout you should gold all of the races for that track trust me it's totally worth it

Swapped Jeep runs 45s on nitro & 48s without. Jeep is the most stable through the corners. I do 10 lap races in case I have an accident. Yields 595,000 cr for 8 minutes.
Think I came to the table too late? I hear a patch is coming out to solve glitch in game. I literally watched the video and went onto game to try and the server is down. Not sure if I will be able to do this when servers are up but will try
Question? What do I need to do to gain access to features like fuel mix, engine swap, cockpit view, etc? I've had the game about three weeks and Bronzed all licenses, collectors level 35 i think right now. Made allot of friends on GT5, now I'm back and want to get all of this in order to be able to run with some of those guys again.
Oh, I've found my money maker to be LeMans at 1.6m/hour with R35 Nismo.
Level 50 unlocks the engine swap and to unlock more features in the game, you need to do the Menu Book. You need to the whole Menu Book up to 39 to unlocks tracks & stuff. A friend request if you want fordlaser777 if you want.
My money makingis is 213,000 credits in 6 minutes, but you need to get all Gold at Daytona circuit experience track, and to be at Level 50.

You need to get all Gold at the circuit experience track to get another red bar. The 3rd red bar I believe you get it when your driving rating for online racing is a S Rating. Even if you have the 3rd bar in custom races, it will not effects the custom race payouts, as long you have 2 bars your fine.

It has been patched a few months ago There is only one good glitch around now, that get you 213,000 credits in and around 6 minutes at Daytona track.
You must have a different system because I can barely do 34000 on that setup and that's it
How did you earn over 100mil credits? I could’nt earn more then that… the game just stop counting at 100.000.000…
It will show that total but on the main screen it’s 100 million.
If you bought credits in Playstation Store, it doesn't count in the 100mil credits limit, so you can go over. Credits earned are spent before credits bought

Just have to do gold on the Daytona sectors, not every track in the game. Also need to be collector level 50.
The Daytona circuit experience is one of the easier ones. Only takes a couple tries per trophy. My best tip, slow in fast out on the turns.

Because the Tomahawk *X* is the highest PP rated vehicle in the game, so you only get the maximum payout possible racing against a full grid of them.

Technically, you can. It will just take longer.
You have to rake in cash to buy cars to get you to 50. You can do this exact thing but no engine swap, for me it took double the lap time but it’ll essentially accomplish the same until you can hit 50, swap the motor & cut the time in half

You can decrease 7th gear (or move its blue line to the right) which will increase the tomahawk’s top speed. But the key is to not rush, be smooth.

It has been patched 4 months ago mate, but there is another glitch at the same track. It is called a Honda Beat Method with engine swap, and there is a Honda S660 method without engine swap.
The Honda Beat Method for a 10 lap race is 213,000 credits with bonus for under 6 minutes.
The Honda S660 Method for 10 lap race is 248,400 credits with bonus in 7 minutes and 20 seconds.

Keep the B wing OFF the VW, you will gain one full second per lap with it off...

Damn, I'm using the Cappuccino doing 12 laps averaging 36+ seconds per lap at about 7:45 total race time with only a $577,000 payout. This blows my method out of the water. I do wonder are you using a controller of a wheel setup? Ive been using my Fanatec DD Pro and sometimes its pretty difficult to get the glitch cars around the track without having accidents.
