- Abandoned Arby's - Pittsburgh, PA. Enjoy a look at this recently vacated restaurant that has some age to it. This is another example of an older location to forego remodeling.

Full disclosure: I am saying this as an Arby’s connoisseur, but for a “fast food restaurant”, I do think that Arby’s gyros are very good. Great video as always Wallie!!!
There is nothing sadder in this world than an abandoned Arby - Reba McEntire
@ronaldyodersr, I love some of Reba's songs. When did she say this quote?
Don't forget Puddy and Elaine from Seinfeld.
😂😂😂
A classic old Arbys location very cool. We had a very old arbys location where I live that had been open since the 60s and it had the original giant cowboy hat neon sign by the road up until about 4 years ago. It was quite the sight for sure!
Hey Freesamples funny seeing you here! Do you happen to know exactly when the West Mesa Chuck E. Cheese's replaced their 3-Stage?
What a tiny Arby's! That's old skool!
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew this was the Arby's on Banksville Road. I grew up on 51 right near Seldom Seen and I've been to this Arby's more times than I can count. I was always fascinated by the "outside" restrooms.
This one’s a really interesting building. You can tell it started out as an original covered wagon building, and then they just kind of boxed it in with the 80’s store design. Never saw one that was converted like this.
It use to be an old gas station longtime ago , I worked here back in 2006
Old school Arby's. I remember passing it every once in awhile.
Implying that the drive through is closed and the restaurant is open bad sign gotta love it.
That's a Awesome Popular Video Look's Reel Good on Video Keep it Up
This is a nice looking vintage Arby's. It's a real shame that it closed. Thanks for the video Wallie!!
I love how the restroom is outside, noticing the Restrooms sign outside the restaurant at 2:40. EDIT: Oh wow! 6:17 restroom doors from the main area!? I wonder if the rest rooms have connection all the way through, or if they are totally separate restrooms on either side of the building. Very interesting!
I passed this place a million times when I lived in Mt Lebanon, but I only went in once for a drink when the bus broke down coming home from work. I'll never forget it lol. It seemed like no one was ever there
Immediately recognize this as the one on Banksville Blvd, which has probably only been closed for a year or so. Always a very notably weird design, never knew the reasons why until looking in here:
wow thanks for sharing this one wallie what a video thanks again buddy :D
Thank you for sharing this Arby’s. This is great.
I used to live on Rutherford and that was one of the first Arby’s to open in Pittsburgh. I ate there once in the early 70s.
This dudes so funny. He said “ downloading and hill starts downloading on you”. 😂
I miss Pittsburgh with old school places like this just built right against a hill… 😂
Somehow I knew just from the thumbnail that this was Banksville Road. I had no idea this one had closed - although I live nearby, it's not the closest one to me. I'm not surprised it's closed: Banksville isn't exactly a convenient location as you need to be on the same side of the road to get into most of the businesses along it.
Thanks for making this video - I'm always glad to see my hometown!
FYI, Fiore's Pizza in indeed on West Liberty Ave, which is also Route 19, and they have a second location in McMurray, which is also on Route 19 a bit farther south. And if you take just about any of the streets that go up from Banksville on the opposite side from this Arby's, you'll get to Route 19.
Wow, that Arby's restaurant looks so vintage and it's seen better days! ❤⭐😄😀 The Arby's restaurant in my local town still looks great also I heard! The one in PA looks like it was a great restaurant way back then. Wallie, thank you so much for an awesome video! I enjoyed watching! ❤❤❤❤
Good video! Nice old style Arby's place! Interesting that it was built by a hill! No curly fries for you today!
As always great video. 👍
I never ate at an Arby's, there isn't that many locations here in New England.
I was just talking about this with my brother in law. 2 in Mass (and 2 in NH) but 4 in Maine…just looked up a list. Auburn Maine is the one local to my home town…45 min away haha.
Been around that area my whole life and always passed by it. That upstairs of the auto body shop next to it was a mosque we used to use for a few years and we’d often drive thru Arby’s cuz it when it was busy there. Ngl I audibly screamed when I saw it was closed 😭 . Rip to that Arby’s location
6:28 I was not expecting you to say that 😂😂😂
A return to the old thumbnail style! I love it Wallie! Great video!
That is very cool to see what it look like when it was open.
WallieB26 I love Arby's! Really enjoyed your awesome abandoned Arby's! Sorry, I'm so behind on your awesome videos! YOU ROCK!
,awesome video wallie
I was always a big fan of Roy Rodgers Roast Beef sandwiches when they were in Pittsburgh. (owned by Papan's Restaurants chains) They were real roast beef thin shaved off a fresh cooked roast beef on good rolls! Much better than reprocessed roast beef pressed into a can like Arbey' uses. Last one was up on the PA Turnpike toward the west border of PA near Rt 60.
Another Arby's! Let's go!
Keep your shirt on. I wanna go too. 😂😂😂😂😂
I grew up over the hill from this location. Sad it closed.
When I was a little kid in the early 1970s, this was the ONLY fast food restaurant for miles around. My father would bring me there regularly for roast beef sandwiches after Saturday morning haircuts. It had the gigantic neon version of the big hat sign that proclaimed "Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich Is Delicious". That iconic sign hung around long after most other Arby's had switched the the smaller orange and brown version.
A few weeks ago I had just been telling my kids that this Arby's had outlasted Burger Kings, McDonalds, and many other fast food joints in the neighborhood. And then, a couple of days later, Arby's was gone. I don't eat fast food anymore, but I'm going to miss it for the memories.
Clicked on this video and got an Arby’s ad 😂
that has to be the most unusual drive thru, but i guess they did what they could with limited space.
Awesome Wallie
Wow 👌 awesome video ❤
Hi😊 great to see!!!! But so sad it’s closed!!! I’m born and raised Pittsburgh. Not far from there 😊 Now in N.C. Great video 😊👍
Very interesting layout never ate at this one either.
Cool video
That's definitely an interesting arbys looks similar to the old location in north olmsted ohio it would make a nice ice cream, donut or coffee shop
Wallie does some cool videos !!!
Wallieb26 if you come to the Arbys in Johnstown pa you will like it because it still has the giant cowboy hat sign, like the one in Erie pa you did that closed because it moved :). Because I just went to it the other day it’s a few mins down the road from me and as of today it still has the old sign. it once had the same building like this but they torn it down to a 90s style but kept the old cowboy hat sign which is cool.
You just mentioned my favorite pizza!!!!!! The best pizza 🍕 ever!!!!! I miss I soooooo much!!!!!!!!! Fiori’s ❤️❤️❤️🍕🍕🍕
I have been to this location. You are correct on how the drive thru worked. And when i asked about the restrooms on the side, they had said it was converted from a mechanics garage
The Arby's in this video is an old school Arby's.
That looks like it may have been a Dairy Queen in the past as well, maybe? Great video Wally!
I Had Many a Sandwich there. Used to live close off of Rt 19. Banksvillle Road is Regular 19 and West Liberty is "Truck" 19 .
6:28 Downloading Lol
I used to eat at that Arby's location whenever I was down in the area. All I have to say is you better HOPE that you did not have to use the restroom especially in the winter time cuz those restrooms were NOT heated in any way shape or form, and that's from experience one time!
Old School!Watching this has me thinking you should do a new video from Rax!
Man I was expecting Walter from that TV series be coming out of there after visiting that chicken man😉🤣🤣 Sorry I just like that show..
Aww, you should've tried filming going across Banksville and trying to go up Canton Avenue 😹
I didnt even think of that at the time. However, I have considered doing a video of that hill!
Theres an Abandoned Burger King in Pittsburgh at Forbes near the PPG Paints Arena
I’ve eaten there when it was open twice, Allegheny county as a whole is always changing
We had a few vintage arbys like this in fort worth with the old school neon signs that read "arbys roast beef sandwiches are delicious" but all of them have closed and became other businesses well one unfortunately burned down from arsonist
Awesome finding Almost 56 k wow
I frequently went to this Arby’s
Yep you’re on Banksville and up the hill to the east would be West Liberty.
Wallie....you should do an exploration of the abandoned Arby's in Kent Ohio. It's one of the old buildings. It used to have the giant cowboy hat sign in front, but that's gone....
I grew up not far from that Arby's and it had been there for years. I was a little sad to find out that it closed.
Yay another Arby's I worked for Arby's as 1 of my 1st jobs sadly never a cool old-school location
always thought the hillside would collapse
Betos 🍕 is right near there 😋
Speaking of old Arby 's buildings, The Arby's in Swissvale is a heavily remodeled mid 1960's Winky's!
Look up the Arby's in westerville ohio. It looks like this one. Still open but it is in rough shape. They are supposed to tear it down and build a new one. The number one complaint is the building.
mello yello on a soda fountain never seen it around here in texas
Nice
That's an old Arby's, that was the look my location used for many years until they remodeled in the 2000's and made it look more modern with tall windows and a more upscale design that was used until they tore the place down. It's a shame, there was always good food coming out of there. Now the Arby's they have replaced it with now sucks.
10 mins from me lol. Drive by it all the time. Ate there a few times.
Its hard to get in there an hard to get out i know because i use to go to that Arby's.
Pretty small for an Arby's, even such an old store design. Personally, I find them superior to RAX, and in my home town, they took over when RAX closed. For the record, RAX was originally a Clancy's restaurant site long before McDonald's ever opened up in my town.
WE -HAVE- HAD THE MEATS
Interesting
Oh no, that was the first Arby's I ever ate at :(
I’ve been to that one and the old service station closed next door
Was this an old Dairy Queen Brazier store before Arby's? Our Dairy Queen Brazier Store in Pekin IL looks like this and it was built in the late 1980's
Here before 1k
I have been on videos that literally had 515 views
Yeah you talkin about being in the bathroom and rocks falls and that about that gas meter right there and it well blowed up beside their by the bathroom
Guess they closed due to it being to small? But still likes these videos they rock!!
The drive thru was added many many years later.
I live in VA we been getting alot rain ☔
I work at Wendy’s in Humboldt Tennessee there’s a old location right by Taco Bell the newer location is right by Walmart now i will say Milan Tennessee rebuild a New Taco Bell and the one in the parking lot that used to be a Walmart but now is repurposed as Rachels attic has closed down
I can see why it closed down there weren't ever any people.
If you find any Potato Cakes, send me them.
i havent watched in a while.
Thats not a wrap thats a arby's roast beef sandwich
I live in Baldwin!!!
Dude wtf this was put in my recommendations and I live like a mile away from this Arby’s
Betos pizza ain’t too far from there
we have old arby (now chiense place) that looks like
There downloading 😂😂boy that's real good one never thought of it that way but it surely goes with it 💩😂
Was there a new Arby's built to replace this location or did it just close?
I think they had trouble with staffing among other things. They’d have a manager and one other person there. That was it. It was close to me. Shame it closed. I ordered from there on delivery apps a lot.
Old looking Arbys
Here within 35 minutes.
