Great video, thank you, very informative. I use conductive grease on contacts that may move but only on the sockets as putting it on pins cause it to be pushed down to the bottom of the pins shorting them out, so, only in the sockets, so that is not a problem. On pads it is good as it reduces contact problems and rusting.
i have a question, i’ve got posseion of a mobility scooter and by process of elimination there’s no power from the pins on the control bord. there’s supposed to be 24v output but there’s 0 on the pins in the connector. although there is 24v for the electric break

I posted a question in I think it was one of your latest videos about me having a drive scout 4 with intermediate issues it gives me a code 5 beeps. I brought it in the house a few days ago from the car and in 24 hours it started working. Not sure what I did if anything. If you have any ideas please let me know thanks!

Hi mate I have a excel Galaxy mobility scooter that's been a great scooter for me,I have replaced the batteries 5mths ago. But the last few weeks the scooter suddenly stops dead and I have to restart the scooter,this happens many times,but today it stopped and noticed that the first battery light was flashing 7 times what does it mean? The scooter has been losing power lately but would retune to normal speeds within minutes, please help,thank you. David. I love getting great advise from your videos and your experience is priceless, also could you please tell me what type of 4 brushes my scooter takes,I think it's a excel Galaxy royal 2 or 3 has 4 brushes. I have had a problem with one of these folding scooters, after putting the battery in it works fine, but if it’s switched off and on the motor won’t work unless the battery is removed and dropped back in, then it works ok.
Thanks for this you just made looking at it so much easier. I was testing one similar to yours in the vid for someone else yesterday...10 miles I was told,.. 2 miles out after a full charge, It died. Registering no power on the meter. I was going across short grass quite smooth, then an incline, where it simply died. The next day it started and all was well. Could this have been an overheating issue. Is there an overheat cut out in the motor or the brakes, which cools down and then it works again. They did not give me a manual, it was second hand and serviced. I was thinking that the 'slightly' uneaven ground may have overstretched the motor and braking...causing over heating??
Hi I've been watching your videos trying to c if I could c a similar fault as my rascal p327 I was wondering if you could help me I have a rascal p327 and it's not working Its giving a light scroll...left to right and a spanner sign is flashing 5 flash code Motors are working with 24v applied Motor break is working with 24v applied Ohms test on break was at good range Any help would be much appreciated Thank you

I would agree It would be better. But it’s how the manufacturer has fitted it. The body panel sits flush on top of the frame so no space; if I would of fitted it it would of been crushed and the wires would eventually break. Also body panel would not site level.

rascal 245 runs and stops intermittenly. I have to turn the key off and on and then it usually goes again. Sometimes it won't go even after turning the key off and on several times.
That scooter has split looms check all connections at base of tiller and on the underside at the rear of the scooter clean and dry chek to see if they are corroded use terminal contact cleaner
Hi Tom, I have a Pride Colt Excusive, it only runs on slow speed but there are no controls visible on the dashboard. The dashboard back lights is on but nothing else. Could you please help me. Regards James Botham

Please help,shop said my rascal 850 need a new £500+ main board above motor and under seat. It keeps giving a single beep when turning the key,have put it in free wheel,then it will work. It will sometimes stop working but turning it off and on will make it work again. Could it be ignition switch,motor bushes, or the board
Of the control box is faulty then it will stay faulty so don’t think it’s that. It’s very odd that you say the scooter will drive when it’s in manual mode as it should not drive. Can you send us a video of this fault

I would put some lock tight on the nut's, put in place then tighten the nuts. Now there is no rubber grommet on the charger plug. Nice video.

Check the alignment of the contact points from the front to the back may not be properly set

Yes I had to walk it two miles back in the sun! I have been happier...lol

Hi has a H (high) / L(low) button that could be an issue if you can’t see that then there could be as issue with the tiller Pcb

Joni would check all connections just in case there is a slack wire. Check batteries. Etc. all wires going g to and from motor and brake
