Absolutely love your style of straight forward video presentation. 👍 Do you have suggestion on where to purchase new front subframe? I've turned up some used ones on ebay but apprehensive about issues of rust or being bent like mine is.
    Thanks

None of those bolts have a TORQUE SPEC?

I’m about to do this myself. Part is $355.00 The mechanic shop wanted $1,200 and was charging 5 hrs labor. I done replaced the struts (complete assembly kit) lower control arms, sway bar bushings, outer tie rods and sway bar links. Still had a clunking sound after all that was replaced. Took it to 4 different mechanics and they all couldn’t find a problem. This last mechanic said he was 75% sure this was the problem (sub frame). I think I can do this job in 2 hrs since I’m very familiar with the front end suspension. I’ll update once parts come in but in the meantime, is there something I’m missing that I can look at while I’m doing this job? If it doesn’t solve the problem I’m going to go crazy!!!

Maybe I missed it in the video, but what is keeping the engine and transmission from falling out once the subframe is removed?

Great video, must not be from the north, zero rust seen on anything, isn't there any power steering lines to disconnect???

I feel like this looks easier than it is…😂 looks like I might need to give it a try though, my 07 Azera has some clunking that won’t go away, and I think I need to drop the subframe to get to the sway bar bushings…might just replace some other things while I’m at it.

This is very helpful for a job I'm coming up on doing on my hyundai sonata, however mine is a 2005. Is there much difference I'm going to run into while doing this removal/replacement?

What was the reason for the change of frame???

Is is essentially the same for a 2017 Hyundai Elantra? Or are there major key differences I need to look out for. Like the motor not being supported by the trans mount in my model lol. Thanks in advance! Super helpful video

2005 Kia Optima 2.7 noticed right rear upper portion of passenger front subframe has rot. How long does it take to do on average?
