I think that choice band dracozolt would be stronger it has a base attack stat of 100 and it has bolt beak which is the same a fishcious rend. It also get access to the ability hustle which would boost bolt beak.

@@spartenofpie Yes it was. IIRC Wolfe explains in one of his old post-Worlds 2016 videos, that he had basically lost the Finals. There was one move he could make to salvage it, but he really needed to sell it, so his opponent would go for the obvious win.

Daniel Pereira I’m not sure that Lucario gets beat up but the strategy is to use beat up with whimsicott onto your own lucario because of his Justified ability. The 4 hits from beat up will raise your Lucario’s attack 4 stages. Doing it with whimsicott is optimal because it’s so fast and does little to no damage with beat up

Dude, im recently just new to the channel, ive been doing competitive battling and stopped from gen 6 but going back to gen 8 on the switch sounded really fun and entertaining cause of your channel. I've worked 12 hour shifts for a few years now and one of my favorite things to do during shift was to make fun doubles sets, justified beat up was one of the first ones I'd thought of though it was back in sun and moon, and I was using it with cobalion. Same difference

So can someone direct me where to find all the new changes to this gen's mechanics such as what is different about speed?
In short the old speed mechanics like say excadrill sand rush would take effect the next turn after setting up sand, now if sand comes up it boosts speed as soon as it’s set up so you will hit next even if your opponent was faster at the start of the turn

I'm trying the Electric/Ice fossil in a Trick Room team and is working well for now. Is not have an hability that make his attacks stronger, but has more base attack and Icicle Crash with Stab for Dragapult and Ferroseed

This is exactly what happened
Beat up-justified combo is a set I used to use back in previous Gens with Terrakion instead of lucario. STAB Rockslide with the insane attack boost was the bomb.

@WolfeyVGC I've been using this as a guide to try to fit a Lucario into a team and see how far I can get with him. I had one thing I wanted to run by you if you had time... Using the egg move High Jump Kick as opposed to Close Combat in the set. I do not like the -Def & SDF of Close Combat.
